JBlack151
2013 Custom Ford F350 Super Duty Black on Black Last week the family and I were running around town in the rainy weather and decided to stop into Chipotle for some lunch. After parking my truck out in the back rows by itself I returned to the parking lot to find a gigantic black Ford F350 in front of mine. I couldn't believe the size of this truck compared to mine, it was really a joke how small my truck looked. As I approached the trucks the window rolls down on the Ford and the owner begins to talk to me about my truck. We had the exact same rims (different sizes and colors of course) made by American Force wheels, which you don't see often around here. After talking about our trucks for roughly 10-20 minutes I ask him who cleans it for him and offered my business card. I found out that he is only in town visiting his parents and recently moved to Indianapolis but the truck was purchased and built in Florida. He took my card anyways. I couldn't help to wonder who this guy was. He was extremely cool and we talked as if we've known each other for years. I decided to look up his first name within the Indianapolis Colts roster. And there he was on one of the articles on their page. He is from right here in Connecticut and played ball for UConn before being drafted to the Patriots. This offseason he was traded to the Colts. I couldn't help to think to myself, I am such a custom gear head that I paid no attention that a professional offensive linemen was talking to me, but instead was admiring the work done on the truck. Then the following day I get a phone call from the owner. I guess he went on to my website and saw my work and really wanted to see what I could get done before he drove it back to Indy right after the 4th of July. Knowing we didn't have much time and his daily schedule was crazy I offered him a wash/wax package and would also take care of all the undercarriage and suspension as well. The only time he had available was the following morning. I had to rearrange my other clients around and was able to lock this job in. So the truck is a 2013 Ford F350 Super Duty that was purchased by Extreme Performance from a local Ford dealership down in Florida specifically for the owner and this build. The truck rolled into their shop with less than 100 miles on it before it received a huge list of exterior and interior mods. The truck took a couple months to complete before it was delivered to Indianapolis a few weeks ago. Right after delivery the owner drove it 13 hours to visit his parents for a few weeks here in CT. Lets just say by the time I got to this thing, it was FILTHY! As I mentioned prior, I only had about 5 +/- hours to work with so a really good washing with lot's of dressings and wax would only be on the agenda. During the next offseason he'll be returning to Connecticut again with the truck which we will then schedule a full detail on the truck. This is some seriously awesome stuff. So smooth to apply and remove and just looked so good on this paint. Thanks for checking it out everyone. It was really a blast to get the opportunity to work on such a cool truck. As always thanks for Adam's Polishes products and staff for getting this truck looking proper again. And a special thank you goes out to GerryC for his assistance with my computer stupidity when working on this thread! Natch02
How did you dress the tires? And if you used VRT milk, what was the dilution that you used? Thank You

LFairbanks
That looks like it was a fun project, John. And looks fantastic. I have to ask though, is there a car that sticks out in your mind as having been a favorite of yours that you have done, for one reason or another? And I suspect word of mouth is probably how you get your hands on the variety that you do? Thanks for sharing. I'am sure the mods on that truck where just as much as the truck itself. PacificNWBuckeye
Amazing results for no polishing, even more impressive with the size of the vehicle and the time allotted. The husband of my wife's friend has one of these in red and is thinking of having me detail it, polish and all.

mikegeaney
Before looking at that truck I would have said trucks do nothing for me. I also would have said that I don't like black rims. This truck changes my opinions. It's beautiful. I think the truck/those rims is/are insulted by a $20. Should have used Benjamin's, Also, was someone let go by the Patriots, and now a Colt, offended by your choice of wax? Nice work man.
