H2O GG after Wash and Wax timing

Following a wash and wax bath on my daily driver, can the h2o go be used immediately like with regular car wash shampoo or does the wash and wax have a cure time?

I use the Dry method with a damp gray borderless micro fiber towel when applying the h2o G&G right after I dry the vehicle, I get better results with no streaking

Using the dry method is wayyyy better for me! Applying with a wet car just doesn't work in my case.

 

I don't think the wash and wax has a cure time. I could be wrong though.

Thanks guys. I don't have a problem with th wet application, just wondering if I needed to wait after the wash and wax. But I might try the dry method as I have never done that.

You can probably still use the Guard and Gloss. However it may not last quite as long as it would if it were bonded directly to paint.

 

If you plan on using Guard and Gloss, if it were me, I would wash with regular soap that has no wax additive and then do your H2O GG routine whether it be dry or wet method.

Strip wash soap prior to H2O GG might be even better then? I don't plan to liquid paint seal this vehicle, just guard and gloss with wash and wax maintenance washes.

 

Would this be the better option?

I use the wet method and use it after the wash and wax with no issues. Really get a great shine.

No the best option is Liquid Paint Sealant and using H2O GG to maintain that from a protection point of view. Wax doesn't tend to last very long and doesn't protect as well. IMO Wax is used to enhance and slightly protect paint as a topper. Heat will dissolve wax very fast. If you are looking for protection and just protection, Seal and Seal. If you want that little extra pop, Seal Seal, Wax.

He hasn't mentioned using any waxes... Wash and Wax has no wax additive, it is synthetic silica

Our Wash & Wax is more of a "wash & seal" but most average customers identify with the word "wax" more easily than "seal".

 

Adam's Wash & Wax has protection derived from silica, found in ceramic coatings. The Wash & Wax has nowhere near the durability of some of the professional ceramic coatings on the market that can last upwards of 3-5 years, but it does add some awesome water beading protection. On my personal truck, I brought it down to bare paint with multiple passes of our Strip Wash, and then washed a few days later with our Wash & Wax.

 

During the initial rinse of Wash & Wax, you will notice that the water almost sheets off the surface instead of beading up, as a few others here have posted videos and pictures on the forum. Then during the next wash or rainstorm, you will notice that it will bead up quite well on the flat surfaces like the hood, roof, trunk, etc. One application lasted over a month for me, and I suspect it would have lasted much longer, but I needed to remove all of the vinyl charity road rally decals and do a full paint correction for other testing purposes.

 

For me personally, I don't think I would apply H2O Guard & Gloss immediately after using Wash & Wax. I would probably wait a couple more washes before applying it just so that I'm not layering one form of protection of top of another immediately after the first layer, but that's the beauty of having different products with different techniques - some people may have a different process that works great too. Adam even says right in the video that it's fine to seal over it with H2O Guard & Gloss if you want to add even more shine and protection, but it's not necessary if you don't want to add that extra step.

This was my outcome after I usaed Adams wash and wax and followed up with H20 Guard and Gloss when the car was rinsed off I had no problem with any streaking the beading lasted about a month
