WickedJester12
I am going to be getting these wheels in the spring and want to know how to shine them up when I wash the truck, they are gloss black, besides ceramic coating them, any other options? 0 shane@detailedreflections
They're just clear coated wheels. You can seal them, glaze them and wax them like paint. It won't last as long as a coating, but it will give the effect you're looking for. Rich

0 Chris@Adams
I would apply BG then PS and maintain with H20 G&G. BrianT
0 shane@detailedreflections
A Rupes Nano? Who doesn't love a Rupes Nano??? As for products...use paint sealant, brilliant glaze and your choice of Buttery, Americana or Patriot waxes. Or you could go H2O G&G as a sealant. I tend to use it more as a maintenance product though.
0 Nathan
I would recommend using a Liquid Paint Sealsnt or H20 Guard and Gloss. If you use a wax it won't last long because wax is made of carnuba, which will melt by the heat of your brakes.
0 Loop
Honestly, you are in the perfect spot to ceramic coat them and be done with it. They are brand new. The biggest challenge to applying the ceramic coating is that you need the wheels 100% clean and polished and you wont need to worry about that. I spent 2 days on the wheels on my wife's car to get them perfect before ceramic coating but they had 20k miles on them. The ceramic will hold up to the heat where as wax will not and will make cleaning them much easier. Unless you just like to wax wheels, get the coating lol
0 WickedJester12
That's probably what I'll do Loop, I can get them from the shop once they come in and coat them before we mount the tires!
0 WickedJester12
Once I ceramic coat the wheels, is adams wheel cleaner safew on the ceramic, or willet it hurt it? Anything else I should know about cleaning them, it'll be my first set of painted and clear coated wheels, same as I would the body I assume? Once the wheels are coated, simple car soap and water will do wonders. Throw some boost on from time to time to bring out the shine. The beauty of a coating is it cuts down on products you need to maintain the finish. bjoeaull
0 dredogol
Those rims already have clear coat on them. If you REALLY want to overkill and make sure it'll last forever, you COULD try: 1) spray clear coat like rust-o-lium 2) apply wax or sealant (just make sure you do only inside the wheel well, not where the tire goes) You really don't need to do this... as long as your clean your wheel every 2-4 weeks to make sure you keep the brake dust off them... you should be fine. 0 BrianT
I would apply BG then PS and maintain with H20 G&G. I just did this today to the wife's Durango's summer stock rims. I did 2 coats of PS!
0 stingrayc7
I would coat those wheels and maintain with weekly washing using regular car soap and brushes.
