Moose blood on carpet ?

FrozenWS6

Question

I have an interesting one for you guys.

I have a customer that had a bag of Moose meat leak onto their carpet and floor mat. The floor mat will be easy to clean, but I'm not 100% certain on the best way to get the staining out of the carpet. Luckily it's black carpet so if it doesn't come all the way out it won't be too noticeable.

I was going to start with Distilled White Vinegar and my Steamer, since I haven't had much luck with the Carpet and Interior cleaner before with bad stains. Hopefully I can get the odor out too. I already sprayed Odor Neutralizer in the car when she stopped by yesterday. I'll see how that worked.

Best thing for any and all blood is cold water.  Just plain COLD water.  Soak the area real well and blot, over and over. Wet and blot. It will take 99% out. Then just use your carpet cleaning solution on it to get it clean, and use towels or something to dry it well.  If there's any odor, the Adam's Odor Neutralizer will work great.

Dang i didn't do anything close to that. I took distilled white vinegar sprayed it on the area and scrubbed it. Then came back with Adams carpet cleaner and scrubbed again. After that I dreamed the daylights out of the area. Hit it again with carpet cleaner and scrubbed it down then resteamed it. Finally finished it with Adams Oder Neutralizer.

The carpet is black so even with my led flashlight it looked like it was all out but kind of hard to tell. I had her stop by 2 days before and I hit it with the Oder Neutralizer and she said the sell went away for about 2 days then started to come back but it was good timing because she was coming in for me to do the actual cleaning that day.
