  1. yeeeaaahhhhh, the hood pads I see dont look like that! :help:
  2. I only clean them off the vehicle, they take forever to dry. I have also found that because they hold so much water it becomes difficult to do the rest of the engine because of the dripping when the hood is open or closed.
  3. I have used the metal polish on chrome with great success, however I still have the old #1 and use #2 on the chrome. I think the new formula would be safe as well, Adam's metal polish is not abrasive but Adam can better explain how it works, I do believe it involves a chemical reaction of some sort.
  4. I would ask your powder coater, but since the process involves baking they should be good to go almost right away.
  5. I got mine from Phil also, it's a Swissvax brush. Phil is the only other guy I order some things from, he's a good guy and he supports NASIOC also.
  6. You tell me. Before: After: Tools used: the little brush in the middle is the best and most used brush I have, great for wheels, door jambs, engines, etc( HINT, HINT, Adam!)
  7. Welcome to the group Shawn! It's nice to see another Alaskan on here, when do you get back?
  8. 50/50 mix of isopropyl alchohol and water, you will have to re-wax any areas of the finish you get it on.
  9. I found out the night after the detail he was driving like an *** and put it in the ditch and pretty much totaled it!
  10. WOW! Great turn around,nice job:thumbsup:
  11. It was an angry woman!!!!!! the key marks were deep enough to catch the finger nail but not through the clear. Thanks for the compliment everyone. P.S You guys make me laugh:banana:
  12. With this repair I had to step outside the Adam's line just a bit. No wet sanding was done for this. Step 1-went over the keyed area with Menzerna Power Gloss on 6.5" wool pad Step 2-went over the keyed area with Menzerna SIP on orange 5.5" pad Step 3-went over the whole car with Adams SHR on orange 6.5" pad Step 4-went over the whole car with Menzerna PO85rd on 6.5" blue pad Step 5-Adams APW applied to entire car Step 6- watch customers eyes bug out of head and collect cash:rockon: afters in next post
  13. make sure you give it time to dry, yesterday I used some and had to give it 45 mins to fully dry.
  14. Thanks Jesse, yeah there are a few products I order in the 5 gallon size.
  15. I like to use latex gloves, just pull your hands across the upholstery towards yourself and it will roll it up into little balls that are easy to remove.
  16. This is another return customer, this was an over night detail and got in a hurry and forgot before pics but wasn't bad, had some light swirling and a couple of scratches(she likes to off road and race rally cross). Here is a link to the original detail, the pics suck because it was before I got the new camera but you will get the idea. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1694759 Here are the afters from the latest round, the pics were taken at 7:00 am, just to give you guys an idea of the sunlight this time of year. more on the way
