  1. Before: 50/50 shot after the first pass.
  2. That's why a good detail costs so much. That clay was from a 2002 WRX They also gave us 5 gallon sizes which I like as well, I go through several items pretty fast.
  3. I agree 110% with Dylan! Throw the blade out, even if you haven't run into the dragging a particle across your paint "yet" you will and it's going make for a really bad day.
  4. 4 windshields in 3 years, cracked and seals blown out, but never actually "blown out" did anyone catch the plate on the burban?........4X LIMO
  5. Jenny got a scanner for her b-day and I found some old photos to share wth all of ya. 1985 Subaru GL wagon. I built this car when I was working as an installer. It had 4 15" subs behind the front seats. I competed IASCA IDBL, it hit 155.1 for a state championship, and yes I have the sheet to prove it if needed. The old FJ, some friends and I welded up Chevy 3/4 ton suspension and stuffed in a 350 and a 4 speed manual. The Suburban. I don't have any interior shots but it had 4 10" and 2 12" subs anlong with a bunch of other gear, this thing was the party machine since it had a DVD player.
  6. it would be better to do it all at once, claying should only take 30-45 mins so it won't add that much to your process.
  7. ditch the chamois immediately and get yourself an Adams white waffle weave drying towel and some detail spray to help the drying process. The chamois is dragging small particles across the finish creating the fine swirls. the WWWT keeps the fine particles away from the finish.
  8. I treat caron fiber the same as anything else, some have clear coat and some have a gel coat similar to a boat. Usually the one without a clear coat turn yellow due to UV and usually when they go bad it comes down to sanding and re-clearing with an automotive clear. I personally don't understand the carbon fiber thing as most are no lighter than the stock parts and it costs anywhere from $600-$1000 for a hood.
  9. yea it's a pretty nice car, I really like the new EvoX even though it's bigger and heavier.
  10.:lol: sorry to laugh Bill, I'm just remembering the first time I ran into one of these.
