Chrome is a metal coating.  You can use Metal Polish #1 and #2 if it is real chrome, but unlike other metals you should not see any black/gray residue transferring to the towel. The only residue that should transfer is brake dust and dirt.

Chrome can be very soft, you should be able to smooth out the scratches and hide them well, but removing them completely may be difficult.

The metal polish twins are one of my favorite Adam's products.

It's not necessary, but it does remove any oils left behind, giving you a super clean paint to apply the sealant to.

We all know the horrors that await your paint job when its in for any kind of service at a dealer or shop.
You can ask the service manager to make sure the porters don't wash your car and screw up all your hard work, but sometimes that message doesn't make it all the way to the right people.

These FREE printable hangers can be placed on your rear view mirror, gear shift, or anywhere else to get the attention of any potential washer to make sure they know not to bother with whatever swirl inducing rag and sponge combo they have in mind.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

Click your preferred hanger image below
Download to your computer (right click, save as)
Print the hanger on a heavy card stock
Cut out along the dotted line
OPTIONAL - print 2 copies and glue back to back for a 2 sided hanger.

    [*]Store in your glovebox
[*]Hang the notice from your rear view or gearshift
[*]Sleep easy knowing you your ride won't come back with swirls!

Looks like you got the right responses here. So all that's left is to have fun working on your ride. And remember to share some pictures.

Yes, sealants have to be on bare paint.  Use IPA and do a wipe down to get to bare paint.

Also, your order is correct...  Again, Americana isn't necessary if you want to put on two apps of QS.  I'm amazed how long it protects and the beads of water are dang near balls on the paint.  lol

So does this order seem right: wash > clay bar > Revive > Quick sealant > Americana?

We've started a new process with bottling... we used to mix for about an hour, then bottle the batch. Now we're 'bubbling' the mixture the entire time its bottled. Makes for a more consistent mix from start to finish, but we found all the extra oxygen made this batch a little more pale than before.

Still working out the kinks... good news is that its purely a cosmetic thing... product will work the same.

The pigment might have been affected by high temps during shipping but the performance should be the same. Of course if for whatever reason you feel the faded product doesn't work as well as it should, just give Adam's a call.

I have two bottles that look exactly like that, two different colors.  The heat got to my first batch of DS 2.0 in my garage and it took some of the color out of the product.  No biggie, still works and smells great.

Hey guys, the weather here in nepa is pretty crappy. Still in the high 30's - low 40's while the sky looks like it would be 70+.... I'm itching to get out and spend quality time with the charger.

My collection has grown from the last time i did a full detail. Just Got a big Americana, both mp's, brilliant glaze a few weeks ago and revive with ss towels a few days ago. I am just dying to get out and detail. I'm making time the weekend of my birthday at the end of the month to spend time with her. She's gotten some pretty good swirls on her from the winter spray washes. So here is my plan!

Gonna two bucket wash and clay her. I'm thinking I'll probably need nothing more than swirl and haze remover, then step down to fine machine, use revive on her when I'm done polishing then seal her up with machine super sealant. Here's where ill be really excited, gonna get to play with brilliant glaze and add maybe 2 layers of Americana on top. And then just sit back and enjoy the shine!

Once she's all finished I'm gonna detail the bike with the 4 inch pads i got. Does anyone know how hard or soft yamaha's clear is? more specifically the vstars?

So how does all that sound?
