The smell certainly isn't pleasant but it doesn't smell when I'm not using it for me. Maybe there's something in it that you're sensitive to?

First, welcome to the forum, you'll get lots of great help here and you'll quickly be able to maintain your cars by yourself! As for the tape adhesion, I would recommend spraying it with all purpose cleaner and letting it dwell for a bit, or trying goo gone. Be sure to use both of those appropriately (not letting them dry on the plastic or anywhere where it might over spray/run off on, etc), A steamer would also be a great option, if you have access to one.

Treat them like paint

Could've been a lot of things that caused it. Issue during mounting the tire, improper washing/wiping down, etc. Glad you're getting it all sorted out though

They damaged your hood and you're on the hook to get it fixed? At that price I would certainly be fighting to have them make it right

This. Its very hard to replace someone like that so can't say it's surprising. But, I still think the forum overall is still in a good place and is far from falling apart or having major issues. If anything, I think the biggest issue is some of the attitudes of members, not so much the Adams team.

Still have quite a few of the older glass towels still but these do look interesting!

I also only use one and rinse it out after each use
