I use paper and pencil. Literally. I'm really old school.
but then I cannot quickly sort them !!
that is some dedication.

Thanks!
My husband and I just spent the better part of the afternoon claying, washing, applying paint and glass sealant and interior leather conditioner. I want to do the H20 Guard on Monday so want to get everything clean to be ready to go.
Appreciate the quick input .
Annette
I like to wash most of my stuff by hand. For the H20 Guard, I had to let the towel sit in some APC overnight before I could get it clean to my satisfaction. Try to clean the towel right away, and don't use too much product.
Sit back and enjoy the view of your shiny vehicle!

Rapid Inventory App? I will check it out.

Hi Folks,
I know this has been discussed before, but I would like to revive it.
What do YOU use to manage and track your supplies?
Currently I have an excel sheet I keep track of things, but it is not very robust. I am trying to find something I can easily track my supplies, and change in supplies. I have not found anything that suites my needs - I found a couple excel templates that come close, but nothing perfect.
Have any of you found something that works for you? If so, what is it ?

My towel storage has a police caution tape around it. If anyone enters it, alarms go off. Can't be too safe with your towels....
J/K the SO understands what they are. If anything, I was the one to tell her they are great around the house...but if she wanted to use them for that she can make her own order

Spray your hands with detail spray and work the clay.

This is probably my favorite video. Hits a lot of facts quickly on waxes and sealants

It's a helmet visor
I think we are misunderstanding each other.
I was under the impression you were wasting the product on the visor because it did not last long. I was curious to how long it lasts on your visor.
-
On windshield yes I can probably do 100 cars with the little bottle but not on the helmet visor
How short are we talking for your visor? You could do probably 20-25 visors for the same amount 1 windshield takes.
-
I tried mine on a motorcycle visor and it did work for a short period of time. Too short to keep applying it and wasting product on it though
Your visor might have a coating on it.
For a visor, *if* it was going on properly and working right, you are barely wasting product. The number of windshields I have done and how little product I have used, is astonishing. Even if you had to apply it once a month, a bottle for just a visor would last you a lifetime (ignoring shelf life).

thats just with the guard and gloss? no wax or sealant under it?
I believe it is safe to say, this is mostly just guard and gloss. I used Machine Super Sealant 2 winters ago, and the vehicle is outside 24/7. Wax has gone on it, but not this year that I can recall. Guard and Gloss is great, I can get in some of that gloss and protection I need in very little time so I can get to work on other peoples vehicles faster

Looking good. It really is a stellar product. I love it.
Fixed your embed for you too.
Thank you!

Hi folks!
Just got in from a quick car wash. I applied Guard And Gloss a few weeks ago, and it is still kicking strong!
Check out this video of it in action:

Let me tell you, I love this stuff! It makes the drying process so much easier - you apply the sealant during the drying process, in doing so your car gets dry.
It is very easy to apply and take off.
5 out of 5.
PS: How do you embed a youtube video in a post?

pressure washer usually cleans wood up nicely.

I think the clear coat on the vette is a lot harder than the clear on my excursion. It's almost one extreme to the other.
If I recall correctly, don't most vette's have a coating on them to protect the clear coat?

My Lancer is guaranteed to have scratches. Even Snow this winter scratched it (my trunk got destroyed..not even my flex can save it).
Some paints are just too thin / soft. Breathing on them can scratch them.

Also, just a thought. Could the screen have a coating that the clay bar possibly took off or mixed with?? It has been awhile but if I remember correctly my screen looked similar just from wear and tear (as if a coating was coming off).
Just a theory that is in no way valid . . . just a thought.

Have any revive you can try on it?
-
A couple grand, eh? I know someone who works for detail spray.

boiling towels is fine...just dont let them sit at the bottom (I stir mine pretty constantly).
I hope the APC fixes the towels for you. Let them soak for a longtime time - hours. Then rinse them and let them soak in APC again. It could take a couple passes to clean them.

I did not see this yet, but I also only looked quickly. Found this Dilution calculator on reddit. It is quick and simple.
The post I found it : http://www.reddit.com/r/AutoDetailing/comments/3176ay/created_a_dilution_calculator_for_myself_but/

Great tip on going different directions on the inside vs. outside...I have never thought of that.
Another tip for getting those stubborn corners, try wrapping the towel around your hand and use your finger tips to guide the towel.
