  1. Hi all, have not been here in a while hope everyone is well!

    i have a couple oopsies on my truck, I knocked a drive through curb and got red stuck in my wheel scratch. And I dropped a white bed post across bed of truck leaving paint scratch in a couple places.

    Any idea ma on how to remove or clean up these without a power buffer or anything? I have a drill if maybe that backing plate thing would work.

    Thank you

  2. Hi all,

    So my beloved BMW was totaled by a 20 year old girl doing her makeup :(

    Took the opportunity to change it up, and bought a 2017 Silverado. Loving the truck so far!

    Does anything special need to be done when washing engine bay on these? I added some underhood LED lighting (can't believe they stopped adding that in trucks) so Ill have cover the switch on that I think.

    Thanks!

  3. Yes the correcting polish (orange) - Polishing by hand is usually a bear and doesn't net great results, but you can try.

    Only reason I'd tell you to not try is I know you said your muscular makes you weaker than most as is, so I don't want you to exert yourself when its probably not going to help much for you to do it.

    Using with a machine is ideal.

    Cool thanks.

    I do have the Cyclo polisher... I bought it a just over a year ago with all the polisher chemicals.

    Think that stuff is still ok to use or should I replace? Been sitting in CA garage the whole time :/

  4. Great, thanks all.

    So, is the "strip" wash necessary? That part scares me lol

    Regarding the products; correcting and finishing polish, liquid sealant, brilliant glaze, and buttery wax, I have had these for over a year I think sitting in my garage...will they still be good or should I replace?

  5. For some reason my computer was not downloading my phone images, lame, so it took a bit lol.

    Here are two pics. Not sure what sandpaper it was I didn't look. I was actually inside when his mom was sanding our mailbox to paint it, and my car was right there and he wanted to sand too I guess... oh well! lol

    Sticky Stuff and scratches pics attached..

  6. Hi all,

    I know I asked something before a long while ago but I still haven't had the time or guts to try lol

    Now so many new products and a bad memory, I wanted to ask the steps for everything. So, a few questions;

    Should you "strip" wash before claying? Dawn or whatever?

    Then steps go,

    Clay

    Correct

    Polish

    After that, this is my daily driver car, so liquid sealant is what I would do. However, can/do you put glaze down first, under sealant?

    Make any sense to put glaze or buttery wax over sealant?

    Thank you.

  7. So washed car yesterday and there is always some stuff that doesn't come off for me, so usually after I walk around with a soft towel and detail spray and rub off anything. ( I cannot scrub very hard when I wash, I'm pretty weak )

    I noticed on my roof something sticky, didn't look like tree sap, but even working hard with detail spray barely moved it. Is there something better to remove something like that?

    Secondly, the toddler managed to "wash" part of my car for me...using sandpaper. Yikes. Does not appear to be deep, but what is the best thing to work out some scratches in a section? Hand polish? Or the drill adapter set up? What is proper chemical to use with that BTW, and can I wax/seal just that section after?

    Thank you.

  8. I assume it happens for everyone, not just me. But when loading the main site, http://adamspolishes.com/all of the slides show first, kind of an annoying flash ;)

    This is because the JavaScript for the slider has not yet loaded and fired. You should be able to fix it by controlling the visible state of each slide via CSS and then when the JS loads it will take control, something like this;

    .homepage-banner .slide {
    	display: none;
    }

    .homepage-banner .slide:first-child {
    	display: block;
    }

    Just a thought :)

  9. I ordered the foam gun set right when announced so pretty sure I got one of the first shipments. Wondering if anyone else has issues with the spray gun being inconsistent or if just me? I noticed in several videos how smooth it is from spray to stream when handle pressure adjusted..whereas mine if not pressed all the way to stream it catches in a 'side-stream' like shooting out at an angle, really annoying. Hard to get a spray even.

    Just me.. ? :/

  10. I read that temps excess of 90 can be bad.

    I am in CA and keep everything in my garage, we have had some triple digits temps lately and I know my garage gets hotter than outside. The consistency of several products changed when I used them this weekend and I do not think worked as well. So my question is what do other people do for storing?

    It seems more of you all deal with freezing rather than melting ;) Anyone deal with heat? Is there anything better to store in that helps "block" heat... I am hesitant to suggest temp controlled box or something lol, does such a thing exist?

    Carrying in and out of house would really not work for me...not much room, not much strength.

    Thanks for input!

  11. I thought I saw in a pic or video somewhere that there were new super VRT block applicators? Kind of concave or something? I don't see those in the shop though.

    Looks like upgraded sprayer nozzles as well? What is different there?

    The pumps for shampoo and dressings, do they consistently output a certain amount? I have trouble guessing.

    Are there borderless gray towels different than the utility towels?

    Is there something better better than utility towels for cleaning interior with? Maybe I just was scrubbing too hard but it was very sticky...supposed to be light passes?

    Thank you!
