I also use the cheapo ones for "Few use" type things, wheels, exhaust, engine, ext.

I would tape the graphic off just to make sure you don't damage it.

I currently use the cheaper foam applicators for everything involving wheels because they tend to "die" a lot faster then keep the nice applicators for my paint.

I typically cover the vehicle equally with an extra coat on the hood, roof, front bumper.

I use different towels for different things. The new blue ones will be dedicated to rinse less wash only. Easy to keep track of and helps my OCD out... ha

Thank you for the first hand feedback, that was my hunch as well based on other things i have read but wanted to confirm the experts. The car is only 2 weeks old and I did the first detail and did a light correction so it was in very close to perfect shape when delivered to the installer.. I will treat like paint. Yes, my installer also mentioned the refresh after X years thing. I will keep the warranty thing in mind and "play dumb" if it ever comes up (hopefully not). no stripes so should be good to go there. That's no good about the chip.

I'm getting Xpel Ultimate installed on my vehicle as I type this to combat rock chips since it is my DD. Since Xpel has self healing properties what is the general consensus on if the clear polish will have an advantage over just my normal routine (clay, sealant, glaze, wax)??? I don't mind spending the money on it, but if there is no real benefit there are other products I could re purpose those funds too. The description mentioned 3m films and yellowing but one of the things with Xpel is SUPPOSE to be that it won't yellow... Thank you for passing along your knowledge and experience. Josh

Nice, we have one left in our guest bedroom simply for the fact that I don't want to drop $200 on a flat panel that would get used 2-3x/year when I can spend that $$ on Adams or other car mods.

deep wheel cleaner is also great, especially if your brakes dust alot like my SRT's do.

in that case a good wash/rinse/drying setup is critical. The key is to keep swirls/scratches out. Shampoo, and towels would be my next purchase.

I guess it would depend on the use of the car (show car, DD, weekend, ext). Kept in garage or left outside? overall condition of the paint and what your goals are with it, just keep it clean or go for perfect?

I agree, I started with the detail spray because of my frustration with some other ones from other brands and 2 months and probably $700 later I have updated my detailing arsenal with most of the Adam's products. Not only is their business model very good their products are even better. Go ahead and start setting money aside for your next order because it will happen, whether you want it to or not... don't resist, just give in. haha.

i also hit mine with a spray of detail spray and put in a zip lock back with no ill effects to date.
