This weekend 4 of my car buddies met at the garage to work on correcting my 2013 Dodge Challengers paint.  I haven't been happy with its finish since I purchased it, always had minor swirls and scratches, which seems pretty typical reading here.  The dealership has one of those touch car washes they ruin their cars through before delivery,,,, booooooooooooooooo.

I had never done paint correction before and didn't have the product or tools, but my buddy Jeff did so we met at his house and the 5 of us knocked my car out in just over 7 hours, we had two polishers going and a lot of premium microfiber towels flying.
 
Very pleased with the Adams product as always, Sunday I got up and decided that the used Envy wheels I had purchased needed some TLC.  When you cleaned them you could feel the brake dust stuck to them, nothing was cleaning them.  
 
So I cleaned the wheels as normal, then got out the clay.  Started using my new "NEW FORMULA" Adam's clay and it was pretty effortless the clay was soft and pliable to the shape of the wheels, but the brown brake dust was quickly contaminating my clay.  So I thought, hey I have some old Meguiar's clay somewhere lets ruin that and save my good clay for the paint, good Idea in my head.
 
So I searched around and found the old clay I had and as soon as I picked it up I could tell a difference, it was like plastic, didn't shape well.  It was hard to use, it didn't conform to the surface of the wheels well at all which made it difficult to get in all the nooks and crannies of the wheel design.  I also noticed the contaminate was requiring more pressure, more detail spay and longer to get the same results as the Adam's "NEW" clay was.

Wished I had before and after shots of the wheels, but after claying, brilliant glaze and Americana wax my wheels shine just as good as the paint.  Very pleased with the results, two thumbs up to the Adam's NEW clay, it what I will use from this point forward, I threw the Mequiar's in the trash when I was done!

You have to be careful with reviews and decipher them yourself.  I have found reviews where people are clueless as to how something is suppose to work or expect way too much.  And sometimes people will give an item a poor review and it has absolutely nothing to do with the item itself.  For example the product arrived late or broken and they will give it a poor rating when in fact it has nothing to do with the quality of the product.

Not take anything away from the new Adam's Clay (I love it!), but you may have had similar thoughts comparing the old Adam's clay vs. the current version.  It was very nice to use, but not as pliable or smooth at the new stuff.  
Auto Magic (Clay Magic in the stores) had a patent and you could only buy their clay.  Others could sell it under their name and use their version, but it all came from the same place.  People took to smuggling clay from Canada and Europe, and often it was U.S. made clay that could not be sold here!  I am soooo glad that patent finally expired!!!

I've never been a Mopar guy, ALWAYS a Chevy guy ( 396 SS, 454 SS, 2 Vettes)  but my wife is totally in love with the Challenger.  You have a very sweet ride!  Don't blame you a bit for switching.

@Camaro2ssblack the comment is actually a signature in some of the Dodge Forums I participate in, "If you don't use Adam's Polishes I question if you really care about your car".  I am okay with being that guy, until October of last year I was one of them, no way could some guys wax from Colorado be better than the nationally known and sold product, until I met a guy in STL who had a car and the finish was the best and had such a shine and I asked him what he used and it was Adams.... So I made a small order and I am sold, I am slowly using down all my old product and replacing it with Adams.  It is okay if they don't believe and if they don't like me because I rave about Adam's polishes, I am okay with that.  Heck the same guys would call you a girl just because you drive a Camaro.  My comment here wasn't to complain about being called an Adams Saleman it was meant as a compliment to the product.

Now the Challenger isn't even in the same class as the Corvette, one is a Sports Car one is a Muscle Car, I have always been a Muscle Car guy who tried a Sports Car and while I loved the Corvette and glad I have owned one.  I missed the Muscle Car, while owning the corvette I was spat at, cussed and flipped off, people are jealous and really dislike that you drive such a car.  I always wondered why Corvette people acted a little better than others and kept to themselves,,,, its because of how they are treated.   While I don't spend a lot of time concerned about what others think of me, fear of someone damaging my property did concern me.  Since buying the Challenger people now flock to the car telling me how cool it is, no more violence and I like a Muscle Car better.


Adam may not say it or say it jokingly to be politically correct for his company, but to develop a product and have the passion and dedication to run a company of this size, he has to have that drive and belief in his product.  So he may not say it, but he thinks it or he wouldn't be driven about car care like he is.  Owning a company consumes you, it is who you are 24/7, so yeah I think he does believe it.

Bruce, I have heard those kind of comments too.......we can't help it that we are Adam's diehards.

If you don't use our products, you need a head check, and you hate your car.  Period.
 

Was on a Dodge Challenger Facebook page today and someone posted some Turtle Wax product bragging about it and I replied with, "if you really care about your cars finish you will either use Americana or Buttery waxes by Adam's and I was asked if I was a salesman for Adam's and another guy said yeah you recommend Adams for everything.

I responded with, no I am just a please customer, neither of the haters believed me.  I even offered to send one of them a sample bottle of my Buttery Wax, crickets... he never responded.

Took the car to a photographer after I got the car detailed.  I hope this winter that Santa Claus brings me a Flex and the Adams polishing system so I can correct some of the issues with paint.  However the car looks  a lot better after Brilliant Glaze and Americana wax.
