  1. Agree with this. It's optional to IPA wipe. If you do pick up some D114 you can mix it at 15:1 and use that as an IPA replacement. You would use it in a spray bottle. It can strip wax at this strong dilution ration.
  2. I agree with you on this. Humidity and temperature play a role in how compounds and polishes behave.
  3. Watch the video again. Watch Dylan's technique carefully as he moves his arm while he spraying to allow for a better spray pattern. Did you wet one towel? You should be using less product as you go since the wet towel will load with product. Don't give up on it after one use.
  4. How hot and humid was it when you were washing? Did you apply section by section or to the entire car? If it's too hot try the dry method with a damp towel. Seems like you used too much product which is why it was a pain to remove. Being in So Cal with water restrictions and the hot weather, I use the dry method.
  5. All of you have been wondering where the Shine Doc has been. Well he has accepted a new opportunity and will unfortunately be leaving Adams. It's going to be hard to not see Dylan around here sharing his knowledge or sporting the Adams brand. He exposed us all to a wide array of great products. I mean who can forget about Soap Soap. Seeing him come back home to Adams was a great thing. It was a real pleasure seeing the new comers come to the forum and have him as a voice to answer questions. His knowledge will be missed. His detailing buddies would like to send him off and wish him the best on his next adventure. Be on the look out where he lands next. The next Shine Doc has a some big shoes to fill or is it a bigfoot. Best of luck Dylan. It would be a shame if this post was deleted.
  6. Both are ok wash media. My wash wedge has already started to delaminate after only 5 washes.
  7. Great even for those that attended. It was hot as heck. But it was a blast. I walked out with some Adams goodies as well as a new product that will be out soon. I will let Adam and company introduce that. It was an impressive demoing of that product. The Rupes were a big hit. Adam doing his thing on engine detailing. Owner getting an intro into some paint correction. Great sport for letting Adam demo on his car. Many great rides showed up.
  8. I find the duplicolor kit to be junk compared to the G2 caliper kit. The G2 is more durable and better looking than the duplicolor kit. I redid my calipers in black with the G2 kit. I purchased rotors with the hats already black.

Nice. So what are you going to do with the Camaro?
  10. Some tires are more finicky than others. My new tires didn't take a coating very well at first after cleaning them. They did however take a tire gel very well. After a few weeks of using tire gel, the coating took to the surface with no issues. That is after cleaning the tires prior to using the tire coating. Good luck.
  11. I keep washer fluid in mine but rarely use it. Having coated glass makes it really easy to clean and keep clean. They can get clogged from time to time.
  12. Have a new and unused throw back edition Buttery Wax. First come first serve. All I ask is for shipping to be covered. PM me.
  13. Put on a coat of Patriot after a rinseless.
  14. I agree with both here. If you keep the wheels sealed all you need is soap and water. When it's time for the sealant to be reapplied then possibly give them a shot with either deep wheel cleaner or APC depending on how much brake dust is on them.
