My dad decided to paint and let's just say I spent the afternoon removing overspray from the paint, glass and wheels.
The majority of the car has been HGG as a stand alone with Liquid paint sealant only on the hood.
50/50 of what I was dealing with.
Paint on the clay bar
Sealed with HGG. Works great as a stand alone product as well.
You will be fine. I just did the same thing as my dad got paint overspray all over my Grand Prix (glass and paint). I clayed and wanted something quick to add for protection. I used HGG and I have been using it as a stand alone product and it works just fine. My grand prix sits outside 24/7. I just refresh it every now and then with some more HGG. Simple and effective.
Actually it saves time deconning first, follwed by foaming with a foam gun, followed up with a wash mitt and then a rinse. There's a write up on another forum. I've done it a few times and it's worth it.
Simple but effective. I would recommend the same.
You can use it on a daily driver. You will be applying it more often. Call and see if your order is still in house and modify it for Liquid Paint Sealant.
It has a temp range of like 300 degrees or something like that. A search would bring up the exact temp. I would use this as well. It's works well on wheels.
It's not a big deal for me. I will keep using it as is. It takes nothing away from the performance. The foam fingers are fine. I do more rinseless washes anyway being in California with water restrictions. In reality it's only $15.
We shall see how long it lasts.
