  1. That's the most important thing. I would have to agree with this as well. Always been a fan of the TB SS.
  2. I agree. The rear looks complete with the CME. Thanks. No real reason. I was just playing around with buttery and Americana. The next time I will use Americana. Actually I'll be using Americana on my dad's 02 Z28 to show off his navy blue color. It will be an early birthday gift to him.
  3. Thanks. Some SLP's came equipped with the 345+ HP package which included CME and the intake. Mine did not come with either. What I did is that I bought the rear valance from SLP when they discontinued them. I was lucky enough to buy the valence for $99. The tips and bends were already gone by the time I bought the valence. I ended up finding a guy on ebay who sold custom CME tips which is what I have on their currently. In the meantime I had a magnaflow cat back installed on the car and I converted that to CME by having custom bends made at an exhaust shop once I got the valence painted and installed. Here's what it looked like a few years ago with the magnaflow catback.
  4. A couple more photos. These are high res photos from my good camera.
  5. Thanks. I have liked the 4th gen since I first saw them. Thanks. I see many around here that have seen better days. I actually had someone pull up to me in another 4th gen Camaro complimenting the look of mine. Thanks. Looks better than when I first got it. Thanks. I drive it as much as I can. The good thing is that it is always sunny here in Southern California so it gives me the opportunity to drive it more. Thanks. I do enjoy driving it. Thanks. Looking forward to seeing yours all cleaned up. Thanks. It is starting to bubble. There are a few on both sides near the fenders. It's not as bad as my dad's 02 Z28 that has a hard top on it. He's going to need it replaced sometime down the line. Thanks. lol the photo might be deceiving. I will tell you this, from inside the car the front end looks very long. Thanks. Thanks. The good thing is that these can be made fast for cheap.
  6. Nice job. I agree with you on this as I to have a white car. That is an added benefit of the liquid paint sealant. That is not weird at all. I think all of us enjoy that feeling.
  7. I just used it for the first time and it worked out just fine. I watched the videos prior to using it.
  8. Well my Camaro is all done. I have been making some slight changes to the appearance. A little background. I bought this car about 10 years ago. I am the second owner. The previous owner was a car collector that passed away. This car went to auction where another guy bought it. I bought it from that guy. At the time the odomoeter read 3K miles. It is currently sitting at 14K miles. I only drive it on the weekends. This is the list of things that I have recently done: -Installed a new vinyl hood scoop to replace the old one that had seen better days -Installed a set of 35th anniversary replica wheels -The 35th anniversary center caps have been discontinued for sometime now so I found some silver ones that I painted black. Followed that up with a set of OEM sized vinyl bowtie emblems. Finished everything off with clear coat which was wet sanded and compounded/polished out. -Compounded the car with a non Adam's compound and microfiber pads. Foam pads would not make a dent with the hard clear on this car -Polished it out with a non Adam's polish -Sealed with Adam's New Liquid Paint Sealant - about 2-3 weeks ago In the meantime I waterless washed it until I got my other Adam's products (brilliant glaze, buttery and Americana) This past Friday, 3/28 I applied a coat of brilliant glaze over the car and followed that up with buttery. I used Americana on the black sail panel. Buttery on the rest of the car. I have to say brilliant glaze works great. Really brought out the shine even though the car is white. Buttery smells good. Easy on and off. Americana was also easy on and off. On to the photos. A couple before with the previous wheels: These were taken with my phone. Reflection while it sits in the garage. Another reflection off the sail panel. You can see the garage door. This has Liquid paint sealant, Brilliant Glaze and Americana. I was working on the daily and took this reflection shot off the rear fender. It has Liquid paint selant, brilliant glaze and buttery. Pulled it out of the garage. For those that are curious the car has the following mods: SLP Cold Air Intake SLP SS front grille Black headlights Custom SS front emblem Magnaflow cat back exhaust that was later converted to the center mount style set up SLP rear center exhaust valence Full audio system Full hotchkis suspension (lowering springs, trailing arms, front and rear sway bars, front strut bar) Koni adjustable shocks 35th anniversary replica wheels Black painted calipers with Camaro vinyl Tinted windows Future mods: Computer tune Black euro corner lights. This is still up in the air. I do like the look of the factory yellow corners.
  9. I just used brilliant glaze on my camaro that has had the new liquid paint sealant for a few weeks now. I topped brilliant glaze with buttery and I have to say that I am a believer in brilliant glaze. The car is white but it sure does look good.
  10. Nice job and the car looks great with the batman theme.
  11. I used to do everything by hand. After watching, reading and seeing photos of what a machine was capable, I was sold. The last 2-3 years I have been maintaining my personal cars, my parents and my brothers. The investment I made into the PC was well worth it. I got my moneys worth. The only time I do things by hand are those hard to reach areas where I can not get the PC. The PC also cut my time in half then doing it by hand.
  12. Have you looked into a replacement dash. I know that's somewhat common an 04+ Grand Prix. Contact Ed Morad from Morad Parts and see if they can get you a replacement.
  13. Looks great. That's the first time I have seen a front grille like that with the lights as well. MPD makes good hoods. I have one on my 99 Grand Prix.
  14. Welcome to the forum. You are starting off right watching the videos. We were all nervous at one time but once you see the results you are glad that you took the leap of faith. That is a good sign for those in the midwest and east coast. Out here in California we didn't even have a winter. Although I'm not complaining as it gives me more time to tinker around with Adam's products
  15. Put these to work to clean my wheels and tires.
  16. I got the mini as well and I'm glad I did. For an enthusiast it is more than enough. It will last a long time. All I am waiting for is for my brilliant glaze to come in so I can add both to my camaro and I will eventually do the same with my dad's camaro.
  17. Sounds awesome. I agree I need to get me G8 GXP. I like what you did with the engine bay.
  18. That looks very nice. Looks better than new.
  19. I have read a few times in this thread about a strip wash. But would polishing remove anything that is on the surface including old wax and sealant?
  20. There is a lit of good points in this thread. I say give Adam's a shot. You will be surprised and hooked on Adam's. I do recommend you watch the videos to learn and gather more information to help you choose what you need.
  21. That's a good kit. It's nice because if the paint is hard then microfiber is the way you want to go. If it it not too hard or soft then foam will be what you need. Don't forget the backing plate. I have a PC and it gets the job done to maintain my personal cars. I just finished using the new liquid paint sealant on my white 02 Camaro. I have nothing but good things to say about it. This is a good kit to get. http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-99-adams-essentials-detail-kit.aspx I would add Liquid paint sealant for longer protection http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-1014-new-adams-liquid-paint-sealant.aspx Green Wheel cleaner http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-436-adams-green-wheel-cleaner.aspx In and Out Spray for those hard to reach areas http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-517-adams-in-and-out-spray.aspx Total Interior Detailer http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-924-adams-total-interior-detailer.aspx Not sure if your cars have leather but if they do you could pick up the leather cleaner and conditioner. http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-131-adams-leather-interior-cleaner.aspx http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-66-adams-leather-interior-conditioner.aspx
