  1. Yeah that where I got mine when I was painting some parts. The headlights are black inside. This is exactly what I got from autozone along with a variety pack of 3M sand paper with various grits. It will be easier to get out 3000 grit over 2000 grit marks. I also use 4" pads on my porter cable to compound and polish.
  2. Try a test spot first with a compound. If that doesn't make a dent then go to wetsanding. The headlights on an 04+ grand prix are known for hazing up like this. For wetsanding I would probably go with 1000/1500, 3000, compound, polish, IPA and seal.
  3. Looks interesting but it would probably be cheaper to go with one of the coatings already on the market.
  4. Thanks for the update. I was wondering what happened. Nick thanks for the reply on what was going on. We all need our Adam's fix.
  5. Looks good. The only thing that would really set the front off is if some of the inside of the headlights were painted black.
  6. A spritz of detail spray on a towel should be able to remove it. I had no issues applying the new liquid sealant on my car by hand. Removing it was also a breeze. I did aply it thin.
  7. Not bad. I would have masked the wheel off so te entire lip is black instead so the spokes end at the lip like the 35th anniversary wheels. Other than that they look good.
  8. Sorry to see your 98 go. One of my favorites over on ls1tech. Good luck with the sale. What are you looking to get next?
  9. I also have a 99 grand prix. The clear on mine is medium. So foam works for me. My camaro on the other hand had some very hard clear coat. Foam and compounding would not even touch the imperfections. I ended up using a microfiber cutting pad and compound followed by foam and polish to refine the finish from another manufacturer. That worked great. I would try the finishing polish and microfiber finishing pad. If you still have deeper scratches and swirls then you may want to go with compound and a microfiber cutting pad and follow up with polishing. I would also upgrade to the new polish and compound. Swirls are going to happen on a daily driver. If you follow a proper washing technique you can limit them. By the way I have seen you over on club gp and grand prix forums.
  10. You would be fine using the polish in that area and retouching it up with sealant and wax.
  11. If you have the time then do sealant>glaze>americana. I just gone done with my camaro using liquid sealant, followed by brilliant glaze and buttery. It looks much glossier than what I originally had on there from another vendor. It is also a garage queen. I say give it a shot and see how it comes out.
  12. I venture over their forum and I have seen some good results with it. It should work just fine with Adam's.
  13. I agree with those on here. You will be fine. I also use a PC to clean up my cars. If you need more correction you may need to go with the microfiber pads. 5th gen's can sometimes have hard clear. But I would do a test spot first with a finishing pad and finishing polish. Then you can go from there.
  14. That's the most important thing. I would have to agree with this as well. Always been a fan of the TB SS.
  15. I agree. The rear looks complete with the CME. Thanks. No real reason. I was just playing around with buttery and Americana. The next time I will use Americana. Actually I'll be using Americana on my dad's 02 Z28 to show off his navy blue color. It will be an early birthday gift to him.
  16. Thanks. Some SLP's came equipped with the 345+ HP package which included CME and the intake. Mine did not come with either. What I did is that I bought the rear valance from SLP when they discontinued them. I was lucky enough to buy the valence for $99. The tips and bends were already gone by the time I bought the valence. I ended up finding a guy on ebay who sold custom CME tips which is what I have on their currently. In the meantime I had a magnaflow cat back installed on the car and I converted that to CME by having custom bends made at an exhaust shop once I got the valence painted and installed. Here's what it looked like a few years ago with the magnaflow catback.
  17. A couple more photos. These are high res photos from my good camera.
