I use vinegar to break down the soap residue. Remove the head from the bottle and take off the pickup tube, then soak the whole head in 50% vinegar water in a small container overnight. The next day, dump the vinegar water into the foam cannon bottle, and run it through the cannon. Just make sure to spray it out into the street, not on your lawn!

I have a metro-like device that is old and on its last legs, the place that I have found it it really work great is for the outside mirrors. It is the one tool that has worked to get them to stop dripping. Given the condition of my old one and the point that I take care of the kids vehicles, I put one in the Christmas wishlist for the kids and they are pretty good at reading the hints, knowing it benefits them.
The hint may not be overly subtle since it states “needed for Spoiled’s Mustang and Rotten’s Evoque that Dad details”.

This 2-step system replaces all functionality and correction properties/capabilities of the old 3-step system, and then some. Essentially the Compound is way more versatile, and while a solid product (I liked it, too!), CP wasn't needed to accomplish even better results with less steps. They've made some great strides with these new formulas and pads, and if you haven't tried them, I encourage you to withhold judgment and give them a shot. I also have a request in to Adam's for user-friendly info on the new system and how it compares. Standby...I'll post it as soon as I have it.
In the meantime, to answer your questions initially from what I've seen/read and experienced...
The Polish is not "too aggressive," accomplishes all of what the FP did, and will finish down similar to lf not better than the FP. It's capable of finishing down any residual Compound markings, as well. However, the Compound is way more versatile and has a broader range of uses.
To that end, the Compound cuts more and actually finishes quite a bit more/finer than HCC. It also finishes more than CP did, rendering the CP obsolete. Using it on a microfiber pad will give more cutting power, and switching to a blue foam pad lets you finish even better.

RP can be useful after claying and before PS, since it will help remove any oxidation that the clay won't remove, and it can also remove some micro clear coat damage that is too small to appear as swirls, but still affects optical clarity.
Because of these improvements, the paint can very well look glossier and deeper, assuming your clear coat currently has either of these issues.
While sealants and waxes do add gloss and depth, the primary appearance comes from having a defect-free clear coat, which comes from polishing. Certainly hand polishing has its limitations compared to machine polishing, but I would say try the RP and see how it works for your situation.
