  1. It really depends upon what you need exactly! Do you have a polisher or do you need one? What is the condition of the paint in it's current state? Does it need major correcting to remove swirls, scratches, etc.? If you need anything from a complete package to possibly individual items, it always is best to start with what you need and add on other items later. Best bet once you figure out what you need would be to call Adam's directly, and they probably can make a kit to get you on your way! A great kit if you needed EVERYTHING would be the Cyclo Brilliance kit, as it contains enough product to get you going, as well as maintaining your results.
  2. Welcome to the Adam's forum! Beautiful looking car, here's hoping the weather there changes for the better soon, because this winter in the Midwest hasn't been too kind so far.
  3. To answer your questions regarding the Cyclo brushes, yes you need to change the balance weights on the machine heads, and the brushes are available in various stiffness bristles for use on both carpet and upholstery. The instructions included with the Cyclo polisher will also give you the correct color weight to install for each particular accessory you may use. Hope this helps...........................

    My new toy

The Camaro looks good in your pictures. Be sure to update the forum as you progress in your project.
  5. Looks great, especially for the short time you had to work, and the pad issue.
  6. From a business standpoint, it is understandable. Adam's will expand their product portfolio, list the country of origin, and still utilize more American made products than other companies. It should impact and add to the Adam's financial longevity, to ensure the availability of these high quality products in the future! A huge benefit for the Adam's company continued existence and growth.
  7. Rich, No issue with the back window, although I have only had the car a short time, and only have driven it a total of maybe 100 miles. I have been lucky to be able to use another vehicle for the last couple weeks, but that is coming to an end, and this coupe will be my daily driver. Had a black 2010 CTS sedan and loved the car, just so very hard to keep it clean and mint being black. This White Diamond appears that it will be much easier to keep and maintain, as long as we don't get too much snow and salt through the remainder of this winter here in Michigan. Sad that this coupe sits outside, but the garage is currently occupied by my Corvettes in hibernation. Thanks for all of the comments and compliments!
  8. You should be able to post your ad in the "Garage Sale" tab of this forum. Look towards the very bottom of the forum page for the location.
  9. Welcome to the forum, thanks for the great photos of your vehicle collection.
  10. As others have mentioned, these seem to work best for me on products such as car wash, buttery wax, or anything else that one would apply by hand in specific measureable quantities. I prefer the old caps for polishes, LSP, Brilliant Glaze, etc. as it is easier to dispense on the pads without worrying about using too much product. The old style caps seem to allow more control of how much and where located on the pad or applicator the product ends up.
  11. I posted photos and details previously about my Corvettes, but now have a "new to me" 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe as well that needed a lot of work and attention. Found it as a lease turn in, very low miles, but sitting in a yard waiting to be sold since November 2014. It was a "corporate lease" vehicle originally titled in Rhode Island, now located in Michigan. Bought it, and even though delivery had to go through a dealer, I requested that they just wash it, rather than cause any more damage to the paint that was already there. Picked it up on Thursday night, and spent the better part of the weekend getting it ready to be my daily driver. The steps to get it detailed were all completed with Adam's products using a Cyclo machine. Wash & Clayed Orange Correcting Polish - Orange Microfiber Pads - 2 passes - had numerous swirls and fine scratches Orange Correcting Polish - Orange Foam Pads - 1 pass White Finishing Polish - White Foam Pads - 1 Pass Brilliant Glaze - applied by hand - removed with double soft microfiber Liquid Paint Sealant - applied by hand - 2 coats with 8 hours time between coats to ensure complete coverage - removed with double soft microfibers Interior cleaned and detailed using Cyclo Carpet brush, Adams leather Cleaner & Conditioner, and Total Interior Cleaner Tires dressed with Adam's Tire Shine, wheels cleaned using All Purpose Cleaner & Sealed with LPS Last photo was taken today, after I drove about 30 mile roundtrip to a friends place to have windows tinted. Thanks again, to Adam's and members here, for the products and knowledge to make vehicles clean and shined, ready for a show at a moments notice.
  12. To really be able to correct paint finish and completely detail a vehicles exterior you need to get a machine polisher. Don't scrimp, get the best bang for your buck, and it should perform what you need it to do, and last a long time. It cuts down on time to complete tasks, finishes paint the right way, and should lead to more opportunities as time goes on.
  13. I too will say that typically the clear coat on a Corvette is hard, so if you have any scratches or swirls you will need a machine polisher to get them out if they are deep and easily visible. This comes from experience of owning a couple of them from different generations. White or lighter colors tend to show lesser flaws than darker colors, so you may OK there. I too would do the baggie test to see if it needs to be clayed, then providing you don't have any swirls you can apply finishing polish, paint sealant or wax depending upon your planned use of the vehicle, and exposure to the elements. Look on the forums in the detailing section for some of the steps others have used on vehicles, and see if any are close to the condition or shape of the paint on your 2013 by the photos others have posted.
  14. Great listening, and easy to understand the reasons for what the Adam's team represents!
  15. Welcome, you will find a wealth of information posted here regarding the products and processes. Be sure to check the "Learning" tab for videos which also explain products and processes.
  16. +1 on knowing I will be safe by staying home, but also wanted to wish everyone here a safe, healthy, and Happy New Year!
  17. Here is a picture of my 96 from this past summer, around June if I remember correctly. The 2004 I bought later in summer from the original owner, a 71 year old man retired from GM with 22,000 miles, and the 1996 currently has 42,500 miles. I will also post "after" photos of the 96 once it too gets "Adamized." Thanks for all of the comments and compliments!
  18. Spent a couple days in the garage, where the temperature fluctuated between 45 and 50 degrees, detailing my "newer to me" 2004 Corvette. I have a 1996 Corvette Collector Edition Coupe which was shown in various shows this past summer, and qualified for the Motor City Corvette Concours show held this past September. So, knowing how that car looked, I can now say that it needs to be "Adamized" to compare to this 2004. My plan is to show this 2004 and try to qualify it for the Concours show this upcoming summer show season. Anyway, the detail process was performed using an Adams Cyclo Pro 5 model, and it worked great over and around all of the contours and body lines of this C5. Paint Correcting Polish - Orange Microfiber Pads -- (2) passes to remove all fine and some heavy scratches in the finish. Paint Finishing Polish - White Foam Pads - (1) pass Brilliant Glaze - applied and removed by hand - double soft microfiber towel Liquid Paint Sealant - applied and removed by hand - double soft microfiber towel American Wax - applied and removed by hand - double soft microfiber towel Took it outside today for a couple of quick photos, as it was sunny, but 20 degrees, and camera battery low. Thanks to everyone at Adams, and all those on these forums for providing relevant information to get great results!
  19. Not mine, but always loved the 63 Split Window coupe. I would actually prefer an "original" over this Retro-mod version, just for authenticity. Just a FYI - this one just was sold, and all I know is asking price was $210,000.
  20. Agree that selling the aprons with a reasonable margin to cover all of the associated costs is a GREAT opportunity! The potential pricing mentioned by Adam is very reasonable, lower than what realistically could have mentioned! Those who feel that Adam should sell them for anything less, due to "advertising" should consider the fact they chose to purchase it, and not expect Adam to lose any money on a product they originally inquired about providing them. I am sure there are minimal requirements Adam's would have to order to keep pricing competitive, and I don't know of anyone who would take a business loss on an item that may have limited marketing potential. And like mentioned above, it may also lead to other items being sold besides the apron, but also could lead to more apron sales by individuals who purchase polishers, or other Adam's products.
