  1. Welcome Armando, great collection, and the photos show you putting them to good use! A lot of good people and information here................
  2. Typically used the Adam's pads in the past, but after using the new Wash Wedge, it seems like I am using that more often than the pads. One for top panels, one for lower panels. Still use pads on some vehicles which are a little larger, so I can cover more area than the wedge.
  3. Mike, I can understand you pain, although what happened to me was caught by VISA Fraud protection before it got too far. While at work today, I had a call from an 800 number I didn't recognize, so I let it go, They left a voicemail, so I did listen to that. Seems someone tried to use my card in another state, and VISA Fraud protection called to verify if I was indeed using it for those items and activities. I said NO, I am still in Michigan, not west, and they locked my card from further use, without processing those items. Luckily for me, it didn't actually cost me anything other than being unable to use my card for anything until a new one is sent. Had to call my bank to cancel, and order a new one, and need to go there tomorrow to get some cash to cover any expenses until the new one arrives. About 8 years ago, my debit card was used like yours, and they cleaned out my account, on a payday, and it took a long time to get everything sorted out and recovered back then, but eventually worked out and life resumed to normal.
  4. Jerry, I can try and answer only some of the questions you posted, and possibly others may be able to fill in the rest? A rotary polisher is harder to learn to use properly, and can cause damage if not used properly, so yes a random orbital, dual action machine would be a better choice. Of those offered by Adam's, myself and many others have the Cyclo. Dual heads, will never harm paint, and may require additional passes for perfect correction, but the results are always great. Very easy machine to use, NO VIBRATION, so no fatigue or pain from using it. Adam's sells a kit with pads and polishes, and being a forum member, you qualify for a 10% discount. Expensive, but worth every penny! Buy once, lasts forever.................. As far as a vacuum, if it only is to be used on interiors, etc. a regular good quality shop vacuum should fit the bill, and can be purchased for less than the Metro Vac & Blo you mentioned. Although the Metro may suggest dual uses by the name and principles it works on, you never want to use a machine which vacuums to also blow dry a vehicle, due to the possibility of blowing dirt or abrasives trapped in the hose, onto the vehicle. Can't provide much help on the steamer, but I use a small portable "Rug Doctor" to clean interiors, both carpets and some seats depending upon the material. Hope this provides you some information to get started, and if you have any questions regarding the Adam's items or products, either call or send an email to them and they are always more than happy to help out.
  5. First off, welcome to the Adam's forum. What The Shine Doc (Dylan from Adam's) posted is your best bet for success! Be sure to ensure the customer understands the expectations or results prior, set fair pricing accordingly, to the initial vehicle condition and the result expectations, and go from there. If you can set pricing just below "brick and mortar" detail shops, and offer competitive results, with the added convenience of mobility, coming to them, they should do well.
  6. Team Adam's, thanks again for an opportunity to save! Placed 2 orders! To those thinking about getting polishers, or other machines, as long as you are a forum member, you should qualify for the 10% discount using the code: shine on.
  7. Phil, Attached are "before" and after using only Adam's Correcting Polish on a black C6 Corvette that was stored in an industrial building, uncovered for the last 5 years. Car has only 6600 miles, and since I bought it, and wish to show it, I wanted 100% correction. As bad as it initially looked, these pictures were taken before using Adam's Finishing Polish, and foam pads. Granted, it took numerous passes with the Cyclo, and time to get it completed wasn't a factor, but don't be too quick to give up. Yes, it is best to work inside where the elements don't affect product, or heat of the surface you are working on. Right Door as Started 1 Right Door as Corrected 1 Right Door as Started 2
  8. Welcome, lots of good information here, and be sure to check out Adam's videos here as well.
  9. To remove the dealer badge without damage, use a heat gun to warm it up. and some fishing line behind the badge. Work it back and forth, along the whole badge and it should come off without any issue. If there is some "glue type" residue, that can be cleaned up, and then the whole tailgate polished, sealed, or waxed similar to regular painted surfaces.
  10. Welcome to the forum, and the shine addiction!
  11. I don't know that there is anything wrong with "shooting for perfection" as in our family growing up "way back in the day" we were taught to do things right, or not at all. It seems like today's world looks for instant gratification with the least amount of effort. Adam's products help out greatly in that regard, but at the end of the day, whatever results make you happy or satisfied are all that should matter.
  12. Really depends upon where you are at with the finish or look you want? You may just need products for maintenance, or may need products to correct and finish? A little bit more information from you as far as vehicle condition, or paint finish shape would go a long ways to getting proper product recommendations. All of them are GREAT products.
  13. Welcome Aaron! As you and others have mentioned, a lot of good people and information here, and always ask questions if the need arises, and I am sure you will get may responses, and the correct answer!
  14. Looks like a great event and venue! I wish I could go, but it would require finding someone to cover me for my work and home responsibilities! LOL Be sure to take photos, and post them here when you get back. Have FUN, and be safe in your travels.
  15. Although you vehicle is single stage paint, and the photos attached show base coat, clear coat, looking at how poor the paint condition was on this Corvette, and how it appeared after just using Adam's Correcting Polish with a machine, you may want to reconsider your "by hand" methods and get the right tool for the job? You paint should be clean up just as well, in my opinion.
  16. Welcome, be sure to post pictures once you are completed with your project! Check out the Adam's videos or forum posts if questions arise.
  17. Welcome Jeff, Be sure to check out other posts and the Adam's videos for any questions you may have. A lot of great information and people here.
  18. Good things take time! Like Dylan mentioned, Adam's had an overwhelming response to the sale, so patience may be required.
  19. Welcome to the forum. So far this spring here we have had our fair share of rainy days too............................
  20. Welcome, be sure to check out the videos and use the search function if any questions arise! Also, post pictures of the before and after results of your project.
  21. Just to give you an idea of the capability of a Cyclo, the top photo is the "as received" condition of a black C6, and the lower photo is after making (2) passes with orange microfiber pads and Adam's Paint Correcting Polish. The lower photo shows how it looks BEFORE using Adam's Finishing Polish with white foam pads, and then the application of Adam's Liquid Paint Sealant. Once you get a machine, you will be able to correct almost any vehicle to the owner's satisfaction. Hope this helps you in making a determination...................................................................................
  22. To those from the forum who may have voted, these results were posted earlier today on Facebook. In a hard fought battle of East vs. West, Johnstown, PA took the win and the title of Kraft Hockeyville USA! The passion behind each community’s efforts is a true testament to what the Kraft Hockeyville program is about - to celebrate this passion we’re thrilled to also offer $75,000 for rink upgrades to Decatur, IL and varying levels of upgrades to all communities in the Top 10. See you in 2016! Congrats to Rich and all those people in Johnstown, PA!
  23. Looks great, nice save from the "before" photos!
