  1. Sorry for the science lingo, fellas! So basically wash & wax has a polymer in it that promotes rain and water repelling properties. The contact angle of the water when it hits the hood has a lot to do with how the water sheds away from the surface. The more hydrophobic the polymer, the wider the angle the water can hit and bead away. -Kyle
  2. Hi all, Starting this thread to spark some interest for our YouTube channel. We have our usual instructional videos and the occasional "event" coverage, but what do you guys want to see? Comment below your thoughts and we'll use them when we're drafting video ideas! Anywhere from behind the scenes/VLOG style videos, Specific restoration videos (Old Domestic Leather, Tarnished wheels, Vinyl Top Cleaning), Out of State event coverage, etc. Let us know and if you haven't done so already, subscribe to our YouTube Channel! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzpvSWz3VFZpeFeitVsybWg?view_as=subscriber -Kyle
  3. Hi all, All good suggestions! Some of which are in process and deep into development (Can't say which ones ) One correction I want to make is the myth of Wash n Wax being an SiO2 soap. THIS IS INCORRECT. Wash & Wax contains a polymer that acts as a hydrophobicity influencer, not actual Silicone Dioxide.
  4. So far the most logical idea would be to have a concentrate that you can dilute to your liking, rather than a gallon.
  5. No problem! Foam by definition is a mass of bubbles (or suds in this case) formed from agitation or aeration. In the case of a foam cannon, your aerating with air/water. When using it in the bucket with a wash pad and a hose, you'll have increasingly more suds since the soap is much more concentrated to begin with. Long and short answer: you need a foam cannon! You're missing out, buddy!
  6. I guess if you're weighing apples to apples, then your math would follow suit. However, with the use of a foam gun/cannon your mixing air and a slight vacuum into the mix when using it is going to give you a different result,
  7. The new shampoo is 4x as concentrated as the previous car shampoo/ wash and wax. It can be used as a normal soap/bucket combo or a foam accesory. Because it's 4x as concentrated, you'll use the same amount as the car shampoo and achieve thicker results. So seem to be confused that you use much less and achieve the thick results, this is not the case as it was designed to be an "efficient" soap. More suds=more lubrication=reduced risk of scratching!
  8. Yes, Taylor is a lifelong friend of mine! I may or may not have had something to do with his obsession with Adams
  9. Hey guys! Part of my role here at Adam's is to help manage events. This thread seems to be pretty helpful at what shows have sparked your interest, but what shows are some of your favorites that we don't currently attend? As you all know, we have our new Freightliner M2106 Sport Chassis setup hooked up to the 48 footer gooseneck that travels to the "heavy hitter" shows (IE: Barrett Jackson, Hot August Nights, various Good Guys Shows, and this year the Grand National Roadster show). In addition, we have our trusty Ford flat bed setup with our trailer that stays on the east coast, strictly for the Carlisle shows. My personal show history is mostly focused in Florida as I lived there for 23 years and grew up attending Turkey Rod Run with my dad, Mopar Nationals in Ocala, Mecum Auto Auctions in Kissimmee. I would love to grow our involvement with the import/tuner side of shows and do some demos! These youngin's could use a hand learning the basics of polishing!
  10. I wouldn't expect it for roughly 4-5 months if that, testing has to achieve near perfect to perfect results to be worthy of the Adam's name!
  11. Hey guys, Kyle here. I'm in charge of product development at HQ and I can assure you that project is still in the premature stages. It was originally conceptualized to be a tablet style with "glass Boost" application but the alcohol content in the Boost has been pesky for perfect results. We have some goodies coming for ya!

    New Car

    Very nice ride! Congratulations!
  14. If lowest vibration is the #1 item on your list the Cyclo is the tool to get. Thats not to say the 15 vibrates badly, but the Cyclo just vibrates less thanks to the fact that each head is contanstly offsetting the movement of the other. Its really a solution that can only be done easily with 2 equally sized heads.
  15. No... its an acrylic resin polymer... in other words: synthetic sealant.
  16. Glad to hear you enjoyed the GWDT's! Car looks nice!!
  17. ^^^ Correct. Expect to spend a little time testing to see what it needs. Even with years of experience no one can look at a car and know EXACTLY what its going to take to get results. Spend some time doing a few test patches, see whats the fastest route to the desired result, then move forward from there.
  18. First off, welcome to the forums! 1. Yes and Yes. H2O can be used on any exterior surface. Don't expect it to provide the same water shedding ability on glass as Glass Sealant will, but it can be used on them without issue. Same on the trim - won't do much to it, but won't stain or discolor it either. 2. If you need to. Glass Cleaner is one of those things you do when its needed - if the windows have streaks or other issues, use glass cleaner, if not then just leave them be. 3. Correct. If you plan to clay and/or polish there would be no point in using the H2O as its intended to protect surfaces that are already decontaminated and polished. Plan on using it on your next wash after a full detail has been completed.
  19. As far as the vibration without a pad on the tool and off the car, certainly yes it will vibrate more... it has nearly 3x the stroke. The pad is part of the equation of balance and the tool is never meant to be run unloaded. It would be like driving your car without the tires on and wondering why it felt so rough. The discoloration is odd. Was the bag still intact when you opened it? How about the tie around the cord? Was the box sealed with tape (they arrive from the factory sealed) if not let us know! orders@adamspolishes.com or (866)965-0400
  20. Not typically, but if you call the warehouse and speak with Ben he might have a spare laying around he can sell you. (866)965-0400
  21. Great results and thanks for sharing them! For the amount of effort required to apply it the results truly are outstanding.
  22. Dang! Big turn around, nice job! Agreed on your point - we all geek out waxes, sealants, polishers, etc. sometimes it's fun to focus on interior work and remember how gratifying those results can be!
  23. Glad to hear everyone is enjoying it. Funny how an incremental improvment on something like glass cleaner can make such a big difference.
  24. I'll echo the sentiment that mine tend to last a long time. Definitely make sure they're not stored in sealed bags. Just like with anything foam, a sealed bag and a trace amount of moisture will cause the foam to crumble and be eaten up by mildew. If yours are not lasting more than a few uses from us be sure to contact customer service for replacements under warranty - they should last you much longer than that (866)965-0400
