  1. Took my v-drive drag boat to it's new/old owner. He owned it, sold it, and now bought it again. I'm glad it's going to be brought back to life. I get to still take it out if I want.
  2. You could do a small test spot. What I did is give my left over Meg's to my friend and co worker to use on his new car so I could justify ordering some Americana. Since I hated to throw away a pretty full bottle.
  3. That's awesome. It's raining here so I can't see anything.
  4. Thanks. It's a garage queen too. He is still a little unpredictable with his steering when I pull him when we tried earlier this summer.
  5. This is a great thread. Here is my 3 year old washing his hot rod. I refuse to let him use any towels that touch my cars. That's why he got the red rags until I detail it up for him.
  6. We race our snowmobiles all year around. We did a full frame off on this 69 Chevelle back in the late 90's. It ran 10.20 all day on 90 pump gas NA with a 540 BBC.
  7. That's a long hike. But worth it for that view. Looks awesome.
  8. 694doorbird, Lfairbanks. Looks like the better buses to get on are the school buses. I'm going to put in for some vacation and do that trip. We got to watch this Grizzley for about 20 minutes chase a ground squirl at Savage River on our last trip in Denali Park. This one was across the river from us and I got to try my new 55-250mm lens.
  9. Those are great night pics Rick. I want to upgrade my Canon camera ( I'm looking at the new Canon T6s), so I can take cool night pics like that. My current one doesn't have a long enough shudder speed to allow for very good night pics.
  10. I didn't know they were different busses, so I'm not sure. I'll be good either way. He said the last week of August is the most impressive for fall colors and the Bears are very active getting ready for winter. I've only gone the first 13 miles to Savage River. Which is as far as they allow personal vehicles unless you get a lottery pass at the end of the season. Which is starting today and through the week. But he said they have snow up there now and have been closing parts of the road.
  11. That's awesome. I had a guy come into my shop today that drives those buses in there and he said to call him next fall and he'd set me up on his bus.
  12. We usually get to see them more in the winter since it's so dark. But this fall they have been pretty bright and active. It's awesome watching them change colors and move. They are hard to get a picture of them unless you have a big dollar camera. But these were bright enough to be taken with my iPhone.
  13. We had some more Northern Lights in the morning when I went to work. I always enjoy watching them dance across the sky.
  14. That's great you got to tour so much of Alaska so far. That's pretty far into Denali Park. I want to do that some time too. It is pretty rare to not have any clouds around Mt McKinley. Valdez has plenty of bear and fishing to keep you busy. You'll want to get the windshield insurance for the Arctic Circle drive. It's a nasty dirt road and plenty of long haul truckers flying up it. If you get a chance too, hit up Skagway. It's the beginning of the Chilkoot Trail. Which goes back to the gold rush days.
  15. Nice. If you make it back up here try to check out Denali National Park. There's always good wildlife to see down there. The Seward Hwy is good for seeing the Dall Sheep too. I went last summer on my first whale watching cruise after all these years here and got to see these porpoises and killer whales.
  16. Once home in the garage and getting cleaned up from shipping. With my brothers Mystic Cobra on its way up.
  17. That's a clean Z PT3. I run mine on DR's and skinnies everywhere. There isn't much changed for my street set up. Mostly airing the tires back up, turn the bottle off and readjust my seat. I have pics posted in my truck detailing thread and the random pic thread too. I have stepped up and started ordering gallon sizes for some things now since I'm using my favorites a lot. Like the undercarriage spray, and HGG. I need to add a gallon of waterless wash on my next order for doing my door jambs.
  18. I try to keep all my hobbies fun. That's why we are all here on this forum, along with other forums. We get to have fun here. That's a pretty fast Z being NA. I'm 10.7 NA, deep into the 9's on a small shot with my 98 TA, 12's with my 01 WS6 TA.
  19. I'm in about 1200 and started in 2012. As I read and learn more about the different products I try them and end up buying more and more because I like the results. This is my cheapest hobby by far. I have fast street /drag cars.
  20. Nice to see you did it old school hot rod, you don't see that much anymore and stands out. Most are doing restomods or pro touring cars.
  21. Sorry for your loss. Glad you were lucky enough to buy the Shelby and keep it in the family. That doesn't happen very often any more these days.
  22. Nice work. I wouldn't have thought that was done by hand.
