  1. Wash as normal in my shop. Everythings heated up here so no issues with temperatures. Unless you leave it outside shortly after your finished and all your doors freeze shut and you have a hard time getting back in. I usually get to wash my DD atleast once a month.
  2. This would be good to know. I bought my flex just before it was dropped from the lineup. I hope they offer one that will work.
  3. This is how thick our frost is after a few days of 0 to -5 temps.
  4. Sounds good. That was the only place I had read it. I was hoping it was a possibility because it would allow one to combined the application and drying into one step like G&G.
  5. That turned out looking really good. You could use an air compressor also just turn the line pressure down. So it's not just blowing everything up into the air.
  6. On the web site, the list of instructions say to Wash and Dry vehicle first. Then down in the highlighted box it says it an be applied to Wet or Dry surfaces. Has anyone tried applying as they're drying like G&G?
  7. One of the things I still like about G&G is I'm saving a step with being able to apply it as I am drying. So it's better on most detailing customer jobs I do. Along with being able to spray everything including the glass with it.
  8. ^^ exactly. It also protects those pieces from getting burnt or damaged by a pad. This is what I'm using. I have both 3/4 and 2". It's the same as I use to use painting cars. Works great also.
  9. I can see how that's possible. There are some photo apps that allow you to do the split before and after so you don't need to tape it. But it's quicker and easier for me to just tape it.
  10. Moz. If they are painted you will want to use the paint coating or paint sealer on them. If they are made of plastic then you can use trim coating.
  11. I'm using the 3m (I think) green autobody painters tape. I've never had any problems with it and it comes off without leaving any residue. Plus I can take it off of one side and usually reuse it on the other side without any issues either.
  12. 2 things come to mind. Being repainted the body shop would use a wool pad with an aggressive compound, usually on an air powered buffer to buff the sanding marks out of the fresh clear coat. This almost always leaves spiderwebs in the clear. Which will still take some work to get completely out. Second thought is. Using detail spray while drying helps dry it easier and quicker. From my experience doing it both ways.
  13. No problem. I have a friend that lives down there and that's one event we try to get to when I'm down. Always a variety of cars there.
  14. That would eliminate the wipers. It sounds like they took a used razor blade to remove the part number stickers off of the glass. That can put hairline scratching in the glass. What I do is soak the stickers with a lot of glass cleaner and use a brand new razor blade every time. Cerium oxide is what you find in most search removal polishes. There are some new systems out now that are using different grits of sand paper/pads to work out scratches. I'm not sure what the polishes are for that though.
  15. They probably won't warranty it since no one can prevent any scratches from the windshield wipers. The only scratches they might do anything with would be a deeper gouge that could have been on it before or when it was installed.
  16. The chip resins will not work to correct any scratches. The scratches are not deep enough for it to actually fill anything. One thing to note about using a glass buffer is that it is possible to create distortions where you are buffing the scratch. Even though you can't feel it with your fingernail you will be removing a bit of glass to get it out. In the 13 years I've been working in autoglass buffing glass usually doesn't work and can cause more damage in the process.
  17. Good to know. I'm putting together an order now and will get it sent off on Monday. I think what effects mine is I save the site to my phones home screen so it's just an icon click away.
  18. It looks like things were just loading too slow and causing issues for me. I got things working again.
  19. When I'm on my phone the "leave us a message" at the bottom does not allow my iPhone to use the back button and the sale banner at the top won't allow me to copy the web page link or change web pages. I'm the only one with this issue?
  20. That's what I'm wondering. It's plenty dry up here and I have the shop at about 65 degrees. So I have it fairly warm.
  21. In the video Adam uses the Booster in 10-12 hours. Though the instruction list says to wait 24 hours before applying any thing on top of it or getting it wet. Which is the better rule of thumb to go by? If I can have my DD down for a day that would be a lot more convenient then walking for 2 days.
  22. They do a Cars & Coffee there, that usually draws some cool cars. They have their own facebook page for it.
  23. To help keep it looking good I topped it with LPS and Americana. I hope that keeps the rubber from sticking too hard when he hits the drag strip.
  24. TBSSowners got me addicted also. I like they had the kits so I could get everything I needed all at once and have one stop shopping. Makes it simple and I don't have any extra shipping charges trying to get stuff from multiple places.
