  1. Yeah i talked with Dan today and he said they were all out :-(
  2. Looking for one...let me know if you have one you can spare!
  3. Thanks for that info. I will try that out. I thought I had to let the machine work it, and not use any force. Ill try that!
  4. And one other question...the heavy correcting polish and blue pads...they seem to create a lot of dust vry quickly. I was using that when it was cold outside, so im wondering if it was just too cold to be correcting?
  5. Just about finished up with my first polish job on my 2015 Camaro. I picked up a Swirl Killer, and plenty of pads, and have clayed the whole car. The paint was in overall pretty good shape, with only 17K on it, and was stored for two winters, but had some swirls and surface scratches, and what looked like some water marks in the paint. " I went over most of the car with correcting polish/orange pad, and finish polish/white pad, and it looks a LOT better, but i still see some very faint surface marks and swirls. Im wondering If I am possibly moving too fast, or am I completely missing a step? Like I said, the car looks WAY better, but its not perfect. Maybe I am expecting too much for my first time, and for a daily driver? Before After Outdoors The trunk and most body lines still have light surface scratches on them, and im just not sure what I am doing wrong, or if I am just expecting way too much out of my first time....you cant really see them unless right up on the car however. Thanks all. Thinking a Mini SK may help with all the small parts on the bumper, pillars, etc, so probably going to pick one of those up as well
  6. I havent gotten to actually use it yet. Each time i get ready to go out and do my car...something comes up.
  7. Well, in the past few weeks, i think I got a solid start to the Adams family. Thanks to Dan@Adams for the awesome customer service!
  8. Went to Harbor Freight and picked this up for $17.99. its cheap, and works until I get the Adams bags. Plenty of room too! There is a PC polisher under there too!
  9. Got it pretty much cleaned up. Still one spot where you can see faint rubbing. Think I might try the microfiber cutting pad. But it looks night and day better!
  10. I am kind of getting into this pretty deep. Dan@Adams...you have ruined me in a good way. That being said, I am looking for some information on how much "stuff" to keep around. Right now, I am just stock piling for the spring. I have three cars, and I plan on working my way into doing friends vehicles, etc, and see where it takes off. Current inventory of pads: 2 Finishing pads 2 Cutting Pads 1 Sealant pad 1 Microfiber cutting pad Current inventory of MF Towels 6 Orange borderless 2 gray borderless 2 Double Soft's 4 Single softs 4 gray utility About 25 other "name which will not be spoken" "premium" 400-500GSM towels. Things I know I am lacking- Drying towels. Its pretty much winter here, so I havent bothered to get those yet, but I am about to. Window/Glass towels What else am I lacking? Is there anything else I should add/stock up on?
  11. Thanks. This forum has been incredibly helpful so far and I appreciate everything! Even though I keep spending more money...
  12. Is it OK to wash towels together that were used with different products? Like wash a towel that was used with Interior Detailer along side a towel that was used with window cleaner, and a towel that was used with Detail Spray? Or do they all need to be separate?
  13. Just did my first run through on the car with quick retailer. Wow. This stuff is incredible for quick jobs!!!
  14. Looks like I need to call in and add some waterless wash yo my order before it ships tomorrow
  15. Good thing I got my Adams products this week. Went and washed the car down, and ran up to Wal-Mart to grab two 5 gal buckets. Parked well away from anyone else. Come out, and somebody backed into/swiped/something or other to the front of my 2 month old Camaro. This is the 2nd issue since i have had it. Someone door dinged it 2 days after I bought it :-/ No paint removal, just looks like/feels like light clear coat scuffing. What do you guys think? How would you attack this? Remember, I am a complete newbie.
  16. Is the quick sealant going to be available again? I would love to get some on my Camaro wheels.
  17. Worked (for Apple)...then went to my gun shop and was slinging freedom!
  18. Wish I could grow one...im going on 4 months and i barely have anything on my face.
  19. Well, I am a Mac tech agent for Apple...but started on the iOS side...feel free to message me anything you might have. And awesome. Looks like another order may be incoming. Wife is going to hate me :-)
  20. Looking at different ways to store and tote your detailing gear from place to place, as I do not have a garage to do my work in. When I do basic washes/etc i will do it at my house, but when i want to do a full on polish/buff, I will most likely go to a friends place with a garage. What do you all use to store your stuff/keep organized/transport it all in? I was thinking just a rolling cart, but figured I would see what you all have in mind, as you are all the genius's! I am an Apple Genius...not a detailing one!
  21. Called in today and got my first order done. Can't remember who I spoke with, sorry. Was knee deep in replacing a thermostat on the canyon. But I had excellent service and can't wait to make my second irser will do an I boxing thread when I get it all. It's a lot!
  22. Is the Porter really that bad? Or would it do the job to get me started?
