No more 16oz Paint Correcting Polish?
Dwhite0960 replied to x1s1x300's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
They have discussed this as I stated above. Due to new new Nalgene bottle costing more the price went up. Historically speaking in any we'll run business this cost is passed on to the customer so your business stays in business. Also any company charges more per oz in smaller quantities vs larger. Due to people not using the 16oz before the product was out of date they made a business decision. Where else do you get a 110% guarntee? This guarntee is helpful for all of the adams customer base but it is unfair to cash in on it because we have old product. I support the decision entirely. Adams is made for folks that are not a large volume detail shop mainly, not saying detailers do not use adams but your most likely going to pay a premium for a service with adams vs another lower priced and quality brand. Just call customer service they will be able to explain in in exact detail, I am going of memory which if you ask my wife is very dangerous. -
No more 16oz Paint Correcting Polish?
Dwhite0960 replied to x1s1x300's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
To the op the newer bottles are much nicer and more durable. That being said I think Dan said they were a Nalgene material which is significantly more cost for adams... Stuff rolls downhill. Adams has impeccable products and service I am willing to spend 20 on a bottle that will last me a year or more without hesitation. I was one originally who thought it was not right either but it's economics if the price is up to make its up for you to buy. Welcome to America where everything will continue to rise in cost lol -
Edjumacate me on H20 Guard Gloss
Dwhite0960 replied to crowvet's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
The best combo I have found is using rinseless for the wash and when the panel is still wet use the h20 the gloss is out of bounds. I love when people ask what wax I just used and I say I didn't. Quality products and good technique provide excellent results. -
Waterless question
Dwhite0960 replied to Dwhite0960's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
I didn't buy it otherwise i agree on the diluted rinseless as its much more versatile and in the long run saves money. I will use it to do my door jambs under the hood and trunk great idea. -

I just got a bottle of waterless wash in the mystery box. I think I know the answer but im going to double check with others to make sure of this. Can I use it as a pre soak for my rinseless routine. I do not have any show car so I will never waterless wash but I have fallen madly in love with Rinsless washing.

Controlling polisher cord
Dwhite0960 replied to aroundtuit's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
I have seen a device that attaches to your shirt then the cord clips in to the plastic piece. It is simple to use easy in and out. I saw gary dean use it in his videos and a friend has one which he loves.- 27 replies

I saw a few flex machines for a good price and also a adams cyclo for 275 which is a great deal. Not sure what your intentions are but if your planning on doing multiple behicles a year you might benefit from a larger throw machine. If it's just your personal the cyclo is very capable and ppl are always raving on how comfortable it is to control.
-
I believe the model 5 only has 1 operating speed unlike the cyclo that is carried on adams site. I believe it's the 5 pro that has speed adjustments. Don't qoute me on this but I think the model 5 has a speed of 2800-3000 where as with the pro you dial im the speed depending on what process you are doing. If you go to the garage sale forum here there was a rupes duetto for sale a couple weeks ago for a fair price, not sure what your budget is but the duetto is a capable machine more so than the model 5 that only has one speed, the duetto can also be used for wet sanding hence the name duetto it's a polisher and sander.

Shipping a little off?
Dwhite0960 replied to clg82's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
The smart post is a new shipping option that Adams added a few months ago for cost savings. Of course when it's not making the government or fed ex money they take their sweet time. If you want expidited shipping you will have to purchase that option. -
First Rinseless/Waterless wash
Dwhite0960 posted a question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I just did my first waterless type wash using diluted Rinsless and I am wondering why I didn't start this years ago. It was so amazingly simple and very safe not a single mar has been noticed. The smell is excellent as well which is a plus. Glad I finally gave this a shot i will be keeping the car clean every few days in just 15 mins or so. I love Adams products they still surprise and amaze me. -
Towel choices
Dwhite0960 replied to Dwhite0960's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
I have around 6-7 doubles soft towels that are in nice shape should have a good year left in them if I treat them well. I use a towel from another vendor for the g&g and I have great success with it and they are dedicated for that task only and I have plenty laying in storage so I don't need a g&g towel really. I am getting into the rinseless wash because I am on well water and it ruins a finish in about 4 seconds when washing the car, I use some distilled and rinseless in a bucket and i pre soak with the same im my spray bottle. I am just trying to expand my towel aresenal as I am going to start using more rinseless with my side jobs as well, way less stuff to tote around when I know a rinseless will be more than acceptable. From what I gather the grey border less seems to be winning with eveyone here over the single soft which is fairly surprising to me. Price is not much different since you can get singles in a 6 pack now, I would love to buy the stack but if my wife sees a 100 charge for towels im dead lol. -
Do I'm in the market for some more microfiber towels for rinseless wash and wax and polish removal. I was thinking of getting the grey h20 towels however the new single soft are 800 gsm. Would they be more plush than the lower gsm greys? Adams sees high quality so I know none of them will induce any marring but I like the soft feel in the hand.

Question on a job coming up
Dwhite0960 replied to AvsBest's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I think if you get more returning business out of it that it's worth it one time at no extra cost. The revive will help get the paint in tip top shape since you are doing no polishing. Brilliant and paint sealant always adds a ton of gloss. Hope it turns out well for you and you get the extra customers you are going for. -
I am trying to get around 36 towels for a rinseless wash method so I can do multiple cars in one stop. With that being said would these towels be recommended for a task like this. I don't want to go to cheap and mar my paint. I plan on liberally pre soaking panel by panel to make sure there's plenty of lubrication present. Thanks for the help of there is a better towel im all ears.

Patriot wax question
Dwhite0960 replied to Dwhite0960's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I read it on multiple posts so I thought patriot was more of a show quality type wax with less durability, good to hear you are getting long life it sounds like. I am curious the wax came in on a hot aND humid day and baked in the mailbox of course, I put it in the fridge and there is a noticeable movement from the wax to the side of the tin. Is this fine or do I need to remedy it and cool it to fit better? -
Some dent less repair guys also do some impressive chip repair work where I live. Doesn't hurt to place a few calls and see what they say. I would think they shouldn't charge a ridiculous amount for a small nick like that but I have been wrong many time before, just ask my wife....

Am I doing this right?
Dwhite0960 replied to 703's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
It seems you have a good idea of what needs to be done. You can add some all purpose cleaner to acheive a strip wash if you would like to start over. I like to do a rinseless wash after i clay the entire vehicle, you will see the left over "film" from claying, you can use rinseless diluted for clay lube to save some money if you would like as well. I personally apply the sealant to the entire vehicle then go back and remove afterwards. If you are in any sun I would remove panel by panel. After the sealant i would let it sit for 2-3 hours before topping it with anything. Brilliant glaze can be applied prior to sealant as well or after. The sealnt has a great look and shine to it but if you want the ultimate a wax and glaze can always be done. The patriot tin has more wax vs americana since its reformulation. I like to go full overkill so if patriot is affordable for you i say go for it. Let us know how it goes for you and post some before and after pics for us to see.
