  1. With the discount the swirl killer should be flying off the shelves. I have a buddy who is going to order the complete kit as it's a steal. I love Adam's has their own option now just wish I could have waited until now to buy one. There's always a need for more later if business keeps booming though.
  2. Hey John, I personally use a 1 gallon garden pump sprayer with diluted rinseless as my pre soak solution. I will spray the panel and let it dwell 30 seconds to a min then continue with my rinseless wash. If the truck is nasty I would run it through a touchkess wash before you perform a rinseless wash. You are correct the car washes with beater bars are horrific for your paint.
  3. Glad I just scored 24 hrs ot today guess I won't see that money after all. It's still considered Christmas shopping when it's for yourself?
  4. I'm not sure I have the answer you were wanting obviously but I reccomend saving your next gallon container from shampoo just wash it out and it's good to go again. I have used this method for my pre soak so I can have it premixed and have multiple gallons on the go when needed for rinseless washing
  5. 3xlt is my definition of a mans shirt lol
  6. The smell is not impressive really but the performance of the wax is. I don't care if products smell appetizing as mich as the end result
  7. This has been a long debated topic here lol. People get great results either way. I put the glaze under the sealant then topped with patriot 6 hrs after my sealant was applied. I got a strong 6 months out of the sealant and the only reason I reapplied was due to it being time to get a winter prep done before it got to cold. Either way you do it you will have great results.
  8. I use glaze under my paint sealant for that extra pop. I top with wax as well. It's all just layers of beauty and protection in my opinion
  9. You have to have made 50 posts to see the garage sale forum. There are many that pop up here n there
  10. Welcome back, I would reccomend replacing the products for 10 years ago. Rule of thumb I have heard lately is 2-3 years. The products have come a long way in the past 10 years you should be in for a treat.
  11. I only use 1 towel as well. I just did a ram 3500 with a topper with plenty of life left in the towel. The key is sheet rinsing as already stated and use some detail spray to add that extra pop and a streak free finish.
  12. The odor comes from the chemical used to brake down the iron deposits. Compared to others adams is really not terrible.mi have tried a few others that were more tolerable with the odor but performance was horrific, I guess due to them limiting the chemical ratio to cover the smell in turn it was watered down. If you dedicate a brush to use with it store it in a outdoor shed and wear gloves it really isn't bad. I do wheels outdoors as I have no shop so this might be a factor for you.
  13. Im very intrigued with the new on must get me a bottle
  14. Something could have been said in the thread that was considered not appropriate for the adams forum. Not saying it was you but possibly a reply from another person.
  15. I'll toss my glaze and wax shot up only thing is it's patriot wax not americana. It appears patriot went bye bye and the new version of americana is looking on par with results.
  16. Yes it's easy as pie. Do your normal wash then follow with the h20. It can applied to a wet surface or a dry, watch the video on you tube Adam shows both. The water activates the h2o so it's a nessecary component to making it work. The results are terrific.
  17. Ah balls to the walls nothing a rinseless wash won't fix in a couple days lol. Im impressed how clean it really stayed honestly because I didn't baby that thing on the way home at all. I live on a gravel drive so nothing new there
  18. Decided that today would be a good day to get the wife's car ready for the winter months since it was beautiful outside. The car was trashed as it had a 3k road trip and saw no love just abuse. I started with a high pressure rinse off since it was such a dusty and dirty mess. I followed with the typical 2 bucket wash with some apc im the solution since I applied patriot and h20 last month. After drying the car and hitting all the door jambs it was time to get to the protection part of this venture. I used paint sealant since it is durable i hope we can make it most of the winter with some follow ups with h20 and wax as I get the chances this winter. Gave the wheels a dwc treatment and followed with a el cheapo wax for a test to see if this helps with maintenance. Lexus was kind enough to ignore my no washing letter in the gauge cluster and im the proud owner of rear bumper and door pillar swirls... They were free who can complain???? i didn't get a light out on the entire car due to fear of a hideous surprise thanks to these chumps, I will leave that for spring polishing. But I am getting 50% off the next oil change and a tour of their detail bay that should be comical. They are very confident they were not at fault but when the rest of the car is a mirror it was hard for them to argue really. Im a terrible photographer so please excuse the low budget shots. The metallic is popping in the sun now.
  19. Welcome post some pictures of your vehicle up. Tons of great information here glad to see you joined the crazy addiction network
  20. If you have paint transfer with a applicator you might be out of the clear coat and into the base coat of the paint job. Unless of course you have single stage paint than this is obsolete
  21. If the car needs to be clayed that can have adverse beading and sheeting on any wax or sealant imo. Also of the vehicle is black and stays outside all the time in the sun the wax will not last as long due to the temp of the car in the sun making the wax "melt". I think liquid paint sealant might be the better option if that is your case, you could still top it with wax when you felt like it.
  22. Looks great Randy. I myself love the patriot wax as well. Everyone says the new americana competes with it but I have yet to try it myself. Nothing like a fresh correction to make you fall in love with detailing.
  23. I would use it on engine cleaning and such since the engine bay isn't a thing of beauty for everyday folks. If you have a special car then I retract this statement lol
