  1. It depends on how much the dealer touched it!

We picked up an new Accord over Memorial Day weekend, but it had to be delivered from regional stock.  They drove it about 100 miles, thru love bugs, and called to make sure I did not want it washed (NO!!!).  I picked it up with  zero dealer installed swirls and, other than the bugs, perfect paint.  I washed it as soon as we got home and applied H2O G&G.  The next day I did a quick Rinseless Wash (bucket of towels method) and applied BG + Americana.  This past weekend I applied more G&G as part of the Rinseless wash.  In a few months I will do a Strip Wash and apply PS, but  it's wayyyy to hot for that now!

Oh, and the 2 weeks I had to wait for an appointment for my tint guy was excruciating!

I agree. After a no wash delivery of my 1LE I washed it when I got home to find no swirl marks and extremely smooth paint. I made the decision not to decontaminate or clay at that time and just hit it with some H2O G&G to get some protection on it. I will continue with Detail Spray as a drying agent and H2O G&G every few washes until the weather cools down then will do the normal steps and get sealer on her.

  2. Well, not so fast. The Adam's product page says it "may" add shine to satin finishes. Just because it doesn't for one person doesn't mean the next won't experience it and/or notice it more. Just be forewarned you may have a different result.

Good point. Maybe I will experiment on the barrels first since I will not mind if they have a little shine to them.

  3. VRT runs? I thought it was suppose to hold up and resist water? I'm being serious, but i did experience it gone, after i drove 60miles thru near monsoon like conditions.

VRT runs bad in the rain on trim and tires. I stopped using it completely because of this. Love Tire Shine though!

  4. Dish soap

    Chamois

    Dish sponge

    Target MF

    Running over my hose guides

Not checking the power washer nozzle to make sure it was secured. Came within an inch of hitting my car at full force

Armor All on the dash (glare!) and tires

  5. Pulled the front wheel off my Harley to get the tire changed and wound up replacing the brake pads too. Also discovered where all the brake dust hides. I'll be aiming Adams Wheel Cleaner in different places the next time the bike gets washed!

  6. Very nice.  I did this what seems like a lifetime ago with the Papyrus (Grand Prix Legends) developed NASCAR sim racing PC game.  Good times...  If I get this old story right, Junior met somebody in virtual racing and raised him up or at least watched as he came to racing in real life.  Was it Hamlin?  Point being...  rubbins racing even it is it 1s and 0s.

I don't recall who Jr. followed via virtual racing. I do know he is (or was) heavily involved in the iRacing community. My son and I even were in a few races with him!

I also enjoyed all the Papyrus racing games. I still have the last NASCAR game they released but having a hard time finding a computer to run it.

  7. Hi Jen, do you really want to know? I'll tell you. I use to have a neighbor she was a bit older but non the less she and her son should have know better. Everyday I would come home to doggy poopies in my yard, mind you I don't have a dog and I try to keep a clean place and not a eye sore. So every day this poopies would appear mysteriously. Finally I had to some investigative work and narrow down the hours that the poopies would appear. One day I came home around 11:30 am and dcide to leave my car on the next block and have lunch gazing at my very green lawn. When all of the sudden my neighbors son came home to his mothers house to walk her dog for lunch. In the house he went and grabbed the dog immediately for his lunch time walk. He walked the dog directly across the street into my yard and let the dog cut loose, just like my women j/k lol. As soon as the dog was done with his number two action, off the two love birds went. I walked outside to see where my neighbors son went and they were already half way down the block.

Pressure Building Up, I did some quick thinking, how dare this bastard do this and think it's ok. I wouldn't do this to anyone nor would I like it done to my house. So i did some quick thinking and let it go. So the next day I did the same thing I came home for lunch and did the same thing kept an eye out for my poor lawn. Soon I witnessed round two and I couldn't believe my eyes because I really was hoping he wasn't the culprit.

The Pay Back, as he walked away he knew what he was doing, I decide to teach him a lesson. He drove a older Toyota truck the had the sealed door handles. You can only imagine what happened next. I put on some gloves picked up hos warm dookies and had a stuffing party on both door handles. I went back to my side of the street no opened my garage pulled out a lawn chair and waited. As so as I saw the son come back I yelled out hey neighbor and waived. I guess in their culture they aren't friendly and keep to them selves. Even though he didn't live there he was doing his mom a favor walking the dog for lunch. He walked back into the house put the dog away and comes right out which seemed like for ever. He reached for that door handle and almost immediately felt something, then the sniff sniff went to work lol, you could sense the tension he ran back to the house. Lol

Moral of the story, you want a dog, pick up after it, because you know better, let's just say I never had that problem again!

Sounds like something I would do!
