  1. While I understand adams is busy shipping out a lot of orders during sales, I still dislike how long FedEx takes to move a package from one place to another. Packages can sit for uip to a day at the same location and their routes are the most indirect, non linear I have ever seen. Why go from Mideast Illinois, to Indianapolis, to Chicago....theyre very inefficient compared to UPS. I ever have some fed ex packages come from Tennessee to Wisconsin then back to the Chicago land region. Bafoons they are.
  2. I did have a new spray version on waterless wash I just bought. Used it maybe two times, through it in the bucket in the trunk of my car. Came to find that it had leaked out completely. So it seems that if you don't turn the spray nozzle to off, it will leak.
  3. Interested to hear some feedback. I have half a bottle left from when i ordered some last year. It's seen alot of use, but has left me wanting more. Next step will be Americana/Brilliant Glaze, but am interested in this new product.
  4. My shipment finally came in with my Detail spray and Waterless wash with 2 of the WW drying towels. Those towels, wow! Much better than the previous generations. They seem slightly bigger and have the satin edging oppose to the older blue waffle weaves. Im very happy. Had some rain sweep through with cold weather setting in. Was thinking of testing the WW but the rain brought some extreme dirt down with it. I'm surprised how much dirt came down with the rain, before it would look just a bit dusty but now it has splotches of brown drops everywhere. I'll try a panel and see, but I dont want to ruin my new towels.
  5. Seems abnormal here.. Order placed on the 15th, shipped out the 17th...not arriving until the 27th? You guys shipping via Pony Express? I can't fathom it taking well over a week to ship from Colorado to Chicago.
  6. Good to know the towels are the same material and GSM but just different color and size. For the price differences, i just decided to get the waterless wash with two blue waffle weaves since it's the same price roughly of a GWDT. Thanks for the input people!
  7. So ever since i got the WW blue waffle weave, i've been using that towel to dry my car; and its been very effective at that. Since it's getting a tad worn out and losing its softness (I'll be picking up the microfiber wash in my next purchase) I was wondering what's the GSM between the GWD and the WW towels? I ask because if the WW towels have been effective and are relatively the same GSM, I might as well just buy another WW towel instead of the GWD ( possible overkill but wouldn't hurt the slightest to have).
  8. Thanks for the info Dan, I might just stick with the Paint Sealant and H20 GG ( along with wax and detail spray) on my current car. I do love the idea of the coating along with the ceramic boost, but I dont think I have the right vehicle I would want to use it on just yet
  9. I've heard that the Acrylic polymers in the H20 GG would be more durable than the silica from the Ceramic Boost
  10. That shine and beading does look very great. I know only time will tell, but how do you feel about it opposed to using H20 GG? As far as ease of use, visual enhancements and protection? Still holding my breath before making another order from adams. Need to get a drying towel, microfiber wash, and maybe rinseless wash for the winter. Running low on H20 GG, but that with the paint sealant i applied in June is holding up VERY well still, along with using detail spray 3 of 4 washes opposed to H20 GG. Will be following this post!
  11. So with something like the Ceramic boost on a non coated car, should it be used as a first layer product and only using the boost as a form of protection? I'm worried of using it as a base coat, then layering a wax or sealant over it or vice versa with a paint sealant and/or wax then touching up a few weeks later with boost. Hence why i find its use on it's on very confusing, especially with guard and gloss and a sealants booster.
  12. So how would ceramic boost go among with h20 GG? I feel like they are the same concepts, a spray able sealant, but contain different ingredients. I don't understand their applications, why choose ceramic boost over h20 GG or vice versa when no ceramic coating is on the vehicle.
  13. I believe I've used H20 GG atleast once since using Wash N Wax. Saw no difference.
  14. I've gone through a bottle, using the same double soft towel to buff it dry after going over with the waterless wash towel to apply and absorb water and the h20 GG. I spray h20 GG on the car then use the WW towel to spread and dry, then do a quick once over with the Double Soft. Works fine for me....If i don't use H20 GG, I use the same towel method with Detail spray and still have good luck applying and drying.
  15. A clayed, clean surface makes all the difference on how water acts upon a surface I know that for sure. When it dried on me though (the soapy wash and wax) it dried with i'd say no spotting at all so that's a plus. Also seems to make good use of repelling rain water from soiling the outside better than before.
  16. I guess this may be true... I washed my car last Sunday, and this previous Friday after a maybe two days of raining (car was sitting and driven in during this) my buddy at work said "Jees how many times have you washed your car?" I told him i haven't in 5 days to which he didn't believe me
  17. I couldn't agree more. Loose gravel and stuff of that sort is the biggest pain in the rear. I pulled onto a busy road behind a c4 vetted, and they just finished repaving, so there was some loose gravel. Guy flung all of it at me as he floored it!! I couldn't stand listening for up to 5 seconds of rocks beating off my bumper, hoo, ect. But I do feel expel or some film will be best to protect the areas that get flung with debris on the road, whether it be by you or other drivers. I've seen them take take good blows with just have little dimple marks in them opposed to chip paint.
  18. Hi all, here to give some inputs on the new Wash and Wax. I have used this on my own car that already had LPS with Buttery wax, H20 GG, and Detail spray every other few washes (so its very hydrophic and hard to tell what the W&W soap actually does). Instead, I decided to take the W&W soap to work and try it on a brand new car... Of course this car needed a good detail. My impressions: Smells good, lubricity is pretty good, suds is about the same as Adams regular shampoo soap. As far as protection goes, it is really hard to tell. So it really doesn't have a selling point to me. Pictures are as follow: clay bar, followed by driver side rinses while passenger side leaves the soap to sit (still ph balanced, doesn't spot). The car then sat outside for about 5 days and through one quick rain storm. I gave it another quick wash with my works soap and noticed the pooling of water for a few minutes, but after lets say 5 or so minutes, the pools finally ran off and left very small beads. Now this beading doesn't seem uniformed by any means or offering real protection, atleast to me. I will say it was nice to see the VRT i applied on the wheels held up nicely; as you can see the water beaded. Sorry I couldn't get natural light pictures.
  19. I actually just clayed a new regal gs, much needed, and used wash and wax soap along with VRT. I'm indifferent on the results as far as protections and how much easier it makes washing the car. I have before and after results I'll post. As far as using it on my car it's hard to tell. Mine has LPS, followed up with detail spray and H20 GG every other few washes so it's hyrdophic as is.
  20. Gallon will last you all year. Once you realize how much is needed per panel you'll learn to be more conservative for a little goes a long way. And the 8oz sealant is pricey but again, does a phenomenal job and again....a little goes a long way. Maybe have done 4 cars (my grand prix, a new impala, new odyssey, and a juke) and small panels for demonstration on friends cars, and have a little more than half a bottle.
  21. Use paint sealant, then use h20 GG/Detail spray every other wash. I swear my car has never been so slick, glossy, shiny, and expel water than using all of these. I also throw a coat of Buttery Wax on when I get that waxing itch and want my car to have a little more pop to it for the week or so.
  22. No no I put about 3-4 oz in my foam gun, and maybe like 2 to 3 in my wash bucket
  23. Thanks for the tip Jason, I've decided to get more suds when it comes to washing with the bucket and mitt to simply add more soap than I would expect to. Used the wash and wax stuff last weekend and i used a good amount from my 32 oz bottle i got and got great results with suds and overall process.
  24. I used this while doing a customer's car yesterday. I put around 4 to 6 ounces in my gun and 2 in a bucket. Was much easier to work with than regular soap by adams, I loved how it dried virtually spotless while this black car baked in the sun and I used my soapy mitt to clay bar. Between watering n foaming the car as I moved about clay baring, it really did dry with virtually no spots like in the promo video. Protection wise, I'm skeptical however with the whole "wash and wax"
