I will try it for giggles but since it happens without the truck leaving the drive, I cant imagine it would be iron. Not sure where iron would come from??

@danI have not. This is not bugs from going down the road. Its mostly on flat surfaces. As in bug crap. Literally. Best guess anyway I have graphene on order. Going to try that.

I have used both with success but have migrated to just putting shampoo in the wash bucket and spritzing the vehicle with APC as I go.This allows me to use lugnut brush on cowl areas, etc with stronger concentrations of APC where needed. It also allows me to pre-soak the panel with the more aggressive of the stripping part of the mix. I have a vehicle now I am having staining issues from bugs and trees. Strip wash certainly wont cut it. APC sprayed on panel followed by wash mitt with shampoo usually does the trick with a little elbo grease.

Will give them another shot with ceramic.

No worries. The wound is healed Just was disappointed in Adams telling me "that is not covered under our warranty". But as I said Dan came to the rescue. Graphene is brand new and doesn't seem like we have much real world experience with users yet? Feels like a lot of Deja vu with my ceramic experience so I am reluctant in going down that path again with them. I guess I don't know Joe. Is that the black SUV video(s) I watched? If so, I don't think he mentioned any maintenance products for it. Thanks for response Chris. Rich

Yea I am aware I am stripping all protection when I use APC. So each time I do that it gets protection (other brand) again. Actually I was doing the same when I was using G&G. As far the my ceramic application, I strip washed the vehicle, claybarred and did complete paint correction even though it really did not need it. Wiped down with panel wipe to get the truck clean and then followed Adams instruction on applying which included the cleaner that comes with the kit and of course the ceramic. In the early days Adams changed the product slightly so the dwell time changed. Originally, you put the product on and when you started seeing the rainbow you immediately buffed it back off. That was about 1 minute in my case. Not long after introducing that product they changed it and it needed to be on the vehicle for 3 or 4 minutes if I remember correctly. The problem was after they made this switch they continued to ship old instructions that basically said to buff it off right away just like all the videos I watched. So the only thing anyone could come up with was I did not leave the ceramic on long enough (following the instructions). After 3 weeks it would not even bead water. I took videos while running a hose over it. Customer service was super crappy about it even though they admitted the directions were wrong. They would not even send me a complete kit to replace it until I got Dan involved. At that point I was "ticked off" and just gave the replacement ceramic kit away. Went back to G&G until some friends told me about this blue bottle other brand stuff that was cheap and honestly has held up better than all my Adams product. As you are aware its a lot of work prepping a vehicle for ceramic so the thought of doing it twice really did not thrill me and customer services response was the last straw. I have stuck with Adams products despite of that encounter with the exception of the "blue stuff" and I did use Gtechniq on my rims. Just trying to find something that stains do not stick to. And Ray, thanks for the info. Sounds like you can relate. I am not really parked under any trees but I have one locust that is not far away. I have 3 or 4 bottles of buttery but have never used. I avoided it on a daily driver because of longevity. I am not ambitious enough to use brilliant glaze on a full size quad cab truck weekly @RayS

My daily driver sits outside and during the summer months it seems go get covered with stains from what I can only assume is stuff from tree's and bug "spots". I have used LPS, H20 G&G, Patriot and Adams original ceramic. None of them have held up very well and the ceramic was the worst and most disappointing of the bunch. To get the truck clean I pretty much have to use APC and scrub like crazy. Shampoo really wont touch it. A couple weeks ago I used APC and Claybar and coated it with another brand of ceramic spray "hybrid" wax. The stuff is only $15 per bottle and seems to work as well as any of the Adams products I have tried and have been using it for the last year. That said, it still has the same issue as the Adams products when it comes to cleaning the brown coffee looking stains off my white vehicle. So wondering what Adams has that will help repel stains. At this point I am more interested in something non stick than I am longevity. Thoughts? Rich

LOL, thats probably the best suggestion I have 3 acres and already cut down 60 trees to build the house. Hate cutting down more. Course it does clog my gutter so maybe you are on to something

Have about 4 of these now. I don't think my Rupes and Adams paint correction stuff will touch it. I might have to get some compound and get out the rotary.

Well I am not ready to go back to coatings yet. I might next year but I already have a failed attempt at Adams coatings on this vehicle and just dont have the energy to go through the process again right now. I forgot about the ceramic wax but that could be a good option. I hate to say for now I am going to jump to the dark side. Just ran to the parts store and bought some $15 a bottle hybrid spray wax from another manufacturer that gets rave reviews and going to give it a try.

Thanks Ray, in my case this is a locust tree. I have not tried spray wax but G&G often. I use detail spray as drying agent in between G&G.

My truck sits outside and tree leaves land on it and leave brown spots from 1/8" in diameter up to 1 1/2 long. I have been washing it with shampoo and then going over it again with a shampoo mitt and spraying APC full strength on a panel. It pretty much all comes off but takes a lot of work. Today it was extra bad and I ended up using claybar and APC which made pretty quick work of it. Of course with APC I have stripped the protection off while removing the brown. I am looking for some kind of protection that would allow me to wash the stains off. The leaves probably sit on the truck two days at most and they are small leaves and not many of them. The truck originally had Adams Ceramic coat which never worked for me so was using LPS but of course the APC has removed it. This summer its just been getting guard and gloss (original). Looking for other options. I have some Patriot here but have not tried it.

In my case there really is not enough room to store towels on the cart and I keep mine in small totes to keep then clean until use. But I just use an Adams cart and the only modification is adding a bar on the front to hang spray bottles down low. So Gallons and towels stay in garage on the shelf.

Have you tried anything like Goo Gone? That has always worked for me with no issues to anything I have used it on.

I have to admit, I did not like the product at first. Vehicle needs to be clayed and really clean. But I love how it works and hydrates the trim, etc all on one shot.

In all fairness I don't think the product description says anything about a powerful stream. It does handle large volumes of water as mentioned. I was expecting the stream from some Youtube videos I watched but looks like the nozzle in videos is different that the one they just shipped me. My water pressure here was about 120 psi which is dangerous to hardware. I have it throttled back to about 90 psi which should be more than adequate. I might just need to put quick disconnects on garage hose so I can swap stuff out easy.

How is everyone that has a fire hose nozzle liking it? Mine came today and although it looks like a million bucks and functions I am disappointed in it. I was hoping for a super strong jet but its really lacking. Out of a 1/2 dozen nozzles it is the worse at a strong stream including the Adams nozzle that came with my foam gun. Not even sure its worth keeping at $25.00 Pretty expensive for something that does not have the convenience of trigger type nozzle. And I have good water volume here and ridiculous pressure.

I am a 2017 High Country owner as well. What you are seeing is corrosion. GM just replaced my wheels under warranty. I ceramic coated the new rims with a competitor brand ceramic including the back barrels and back of spokes as it appears the corrosion starts in the back and crawls around to front. From experience you can polish that out with Adams metal polish and make it look really good but its not going to last. You will need to keep doing it. I am sure its related to living in the snow belt and the salt brine and chemicals they put on the road. And for your info, my truck had around 16,000 miles when GM offered to replace them. Rich

That does not look like wheel cleaner stains to me.

I would have a hard time telling a double soft from a single in the bag. I have a hard enough time getting them straight when I am folding them out of the dryer

Well I agree with the least aggressive as possible. I just cant imagine using clay in steps. I would use the least aggressive clay that did the job and then polish if needed
