  1. I would think the de-greaser in the Graphene shampoo should help. Do you have any APC to try? I really don't use the strip wash on anything.
  2. Thanks Ray. Well the original nozzles were fine and I rarely had issues with them. I am not that picky I guess when it comes to nozzles but the last ones I got were either smashed right out of the box or leaked. Assuming Adams has switched suppliers over the last few years and I am not happy with the new stuff. I have had pretty good stock on gallons so have been refilling for a while and not sure when they change came about but now that I am re-ordering some products I have not tried before I am running into issues.
  3. In the old days I had a small tote full of new Adams spray nozzles because they would last a long time and I did not always replace them. I have ran out of stock and I am having issues with almost all the latest generation of nozzles I have got from Adams. Broken, clogging, leaking, etc. Does anyone have a link for good quality spray nozzles that will fit the 16 oz bottles?
  4. I have had these pads long enough I don't remember the best intended use for each of them. I am guessing at least one of them is for LPS. I am getting ready to do a paint correction before using spray coating advanced. Originally I was going to use One Step so I ordered more of that and the Adams One step pad. I am leaning towards using compound instead 105/205 and trying to figure out the best pads out of my limited collection to use. So besides the Adams One step pad not shown, any suggestions on best pads to use for compound and polish?
  5. OK. Was not sure what could happen to the product over time. I have not seen any visible issues as I was able to shake and use. I think I am just going to mess around on this vehicle the Adam way and do a panel completely and spray ceramic coat it. Just do a panel or two a week. I would switch to the full coating but don't want to burn through 10 applicators. LOL
  6. Thanks guys. Had no idea the shelf life was so low. This is an issue for me because I don't buff enough to get through a bottle. The other professional brands I have used is 5 years if kept in temp controlled environment (which I do). What happens to the product? I would assume as long as it did not dry out or freeze it would be OK. No?
  7. So its my understanding the One Step polish changed at one time and used to have a wax or protectant in it. Does anyone have any idea when this happened? Do you know if its possible to tell from the bottle? I have a bottle from 11/2020 and a current bottle from last week. I want to do a quick paint correction before some spray ceramic coating advanced on a vehicle. The only things in my arsenal is the original Adams paint correcting polish and paint finishing polish but only about 1/3 bottle of each. Then the above two bottles of one step. Obviously I dont want to use anything with wax or protectant if my goal is to use spray ceramic after. I guess I can run to a local place and get another brand but looking for options.
  8. I have always been happy with Adams spray nozzles but this last order I got was plagued with issues. The sprayer I used with the ceramic spray leaked more than it sprayed. I ended up dumping the product on a applicator pad. The next two sprayers were broke and sharp enough on sides to cut skin. Anyone else having issues with sprayers. I can squeeze the plastic on these and they will crack and split. I currently don't have enough sprayers for the 2 orders I just placed. I have no intention of tossing the old sprayers that I am using if this is the norm.
  9. I think I am good for the winter. Come spring I will do a complete paint correction on it as its ready for that. But this spray ceramic just seems too easy. Honestly its not any harder to level/wipe down than most wax. I will give it another wash in a couple days and get some graphene detail spray on it. If this holds up 6 months outside, I would rather do this a couple times a year over regular coating. Again.. thank you for response.
  10. Thanks for the response Ray. There is no rainbow on this paint no matter how hard you look. So hoping my guesstimate on time was good. Would hate to put it on and just wipe it back off. I expected a little more grab feel but that was minimal. The truck looks great with lots of gloss. I guess I can always recoat of needed.
  11. Decided to try the advanced spray coating on my truck. My actual ceramic coating has long give up the ghost. Strip washed the vehicle, claybarred, scrubbbed all the black trim with tire cleaner and panel wiped everything twice. The application seems too easy to be effective. LOL First of all, pearl white truck and in my experience with this paint getting it to rainbow is impossible. So it was hard to gauge removal time. Garage is 70 degrees and truck had been in all night. The 2 minutes I have seen in the instructions and videos just did not seem to be long enough. I was basically waiting till I could start to get some towel grab and regardless of how long I would wait that was pretty minimal. I was doing entire panels and moving on to the next panel and coming back and wiping the previous panel off with a couple gray border-less working it pretty hard to make sure it was leveled even though it did not feel like it needed it. So I was leaving it on the truck for about 5 minutes and it still wiped off easy. The sprayer that was sent was leaking and about useless so I applied with a small felt like block similar to what Adams used ship with product. I ended up using about 1/3 of bottle on a full size crew cab just dumping the product on the pad. I did everything but the wheels and glass. Does this seem on par with everyone elses experience? Seems too easy 😆 I would be happy if this stuff lasts six months since the truck sits outside. If it holds up and doesnt do anything funky to the trim, this could be my new go to for protect-ant. And winter greetings from Siberia-Iowa where my Adams order just arrived with a solid blue block of something called shampoo. Froze solid !
  12. Thanks Chris ! Will watch those. No, was not spray version. I have one more kit on the shelf that is same version as this. Was going to use it on girlfriends car but decided not to. I might just redo the hood with it and call it good until I can find time to do a complete paint correction and use the latest graphene kit. I never get anywhere close to the advertised life out of the products so honestly I was happy it lasted as long as it did. I used APC on it several times over the winter to get it clean but as I said it has lost its protection on hood and roof.
  13. So whats the story with the advanced Ceramic Spray coating. Really could not find any info on it. My truck has Graphene ceramic coating on it and it did really well for about 14 months but on the hood and roof I would say the protection is about gone. Anything on the side is still hanging in there. If it lasted a year I was going to be happy with it as the truck sits outside all year. So in the end I am pleased. I have some stuff going on including selling house and moving so really not in a position to do a full recoat. I have been trying boost and graphene detail spray and it works decent but longevity is not as much as I would like. So looking for info on the advanced. Over $40 is a lot to spend for a spray coating so want to make sure its worth it. Rich
  14. Thanks Chris, that answered the questions I had. We have not used it yet and not sure have a need. Very interesting. Rich
  15. I use Iron remover often and have had no issues. Its just a safety step for me as it removes the iron without moving it around with claybar. As long as you are not in direct sun it can be left on longer than 5 minutes as it does not dry out like the old days of using wheel cleaner.
  16. Be interested to hear more about it. Not sure what they mean by 3 to 4 ounces to volume for the mix ratio ?? Not to mention the sprayers they talk about using are for "non foaming" chemicals according to site. Will stay tuned.
  17. What is it? Showed up in one of my mystery boxes today and cant find any info on this site about it. Give the boxes to my girlfriend and she took picture of it and I have no idea what it is Rich
  18. Thanks Chris. I did not know that about graphene shampoo. Just remembered I have some but have not tried it. I just thought it helped maintain the protection. APC works but you really have to scrub some of the spots.
  19. Typically I strip wash using shampoo and they APC spray a panel at a time. My graphene truck gets sap and insect stains on it and I often just strip it to get it clean. Does the Strip wash work any better than APC and Shampoo? Not complaining about the graphene as I am coming up on a year and its the best thing I have ever had on a vehicle. Just get bug and tree stains.
  20. Its both for me. I use a master blaster to dry 80 to 90% getting the nooks and crannies and also wheels and lugnuts and then detail spray and towel dry to finish.
  21. Just ran across this thread. I had the same issue last week when I used it on a freshly washed non coated vehicle that was dark. Previously I had only use it on my white truck. Hard to explain but looked like little oil spots on the paint. I made a couple passes around finishing drying the car and she was ready to leave and honestly did not give it another look but I think they eventually went away. But something is weird with this product.
