Ash and water don't mix, it causes a horrible reaction to metal and painted surfaces, you need to wash that ASAP! Before it's starts to cause deteriorating of your vehicles finish.

Baahahahah I was thinking the same thing!
I think Ed is from Australia, and they drive on the left side of the road so the driver sits on the right! As cool as I think that is I'm not sure I could ever drive manual with my left hand!

That's what I'm talking about!
I never do a alcohol wipe down and I never have any issues.
But it's fine if you feel you need the extra step.......

I should also mention the outline that you are seeing maybe just residue from the adhesive from the bow tie.

Yes you have what you need as Rich said above start with the least aggressive method and if you need a little more than do it, remember always keep the pad moving up down, up down, right to left, right to left. And you'll do just fine.

Yes you can use your Porter cable to get the job done. Do you own a set of adams polishes? Make sure when polishing you keep the machine moving in a cross hatch pattern. This way you have less chance of burning your clear coating. Also let it sit in the sun a few days.
Unfortunately the dealer is 5 hours away, and won't be of much help. Quite naturally the dealer response will be: "had you left the truck in its factory configuration you wouldn't have a problem". I've also noticed some raised clear around the Colorado tailgate lettering, which leads me to believe the paint was no where near cured/hardened before they applied the emblems.
I own a Porter Cable 7242XP, would that be effective? I really don't want to have to purchase another polishing tool if at all possible.

I bought this same sparkling water this weekend at Vons, with a sweet deal, so I just tried mine and it does not taste funky so maybe someone sprayed it with something by accident or your wife is getting back at you for her dirty car Ryan lol.

Hey Nick we're those skid marks on the paint or your drawers?
All good info, thnks guys.
I had used the mitt on my Tahoe, and it didnt even get bugs off.
So its good to know, im not the only one who is experiencing this.
Pretty Pricey tool, for it not to work
The mitt did also leave 'skid marks'
on the wifes, couldnt get rid of them but they did polish out with the DA.
Thanks again!

Yes vinyl is very pourus, with that said I would buy a car cover even if it sits in your garage.
1. Wash car thoroughly with Adams car Shampooooo
2. You can use diluted All Purpose Cleaner and a horse hair brush to scrub the roof or adams interior brush is really nice and can get the job done and it's a really nice brush.
3. Dry car with a adams drying towel, they are nice and plush.
4. Adams Leather Treatment is a good choice for your roof because it has a high SPF factor in it and is safe to use on vinyl, this is to help protect from the suns UV damage.
Since this is a old car you may want to consider doing rinseless washes you can find the videos on the adams site on how to do that if it appeals to you.
Hope this helps
Ps you don't have to scrub your roof every month with APC just when it's really dirty all other time just wash it like you would the car.

Foxbody mustangs are around, they sell for a premium now, they have several listed on eBay with original low miles. I have a neighbor that has a saleen, original owner and low mileage. Sweet cars.
Its pretty hard to find any clean foxes anymore, but if you do, they are pretty sweet. As for the late sn95 mustangs, i really like how they look once you throw in a few appearance mods like lowering springs and lip, but if id have to buy one it would be a termi or a mach 1.

I think thats my issue too, i have a new 2016 Tahoe, and after driving i see a light spot or 2 on the door panel. I wasn't sure if i was wiping it or my natural skin oil was rubbing and causing discoloration.
I'm blaming your elbow rubbing the door panel, you got to get rid of them bad habits Nick!

No it does not matter, wave or no wave, I do like pace with holes though, it helps the pads keep a little cooler. I've tried many pads and they work the same, the only difference I see is that some last longer than others do. With that said two pads come to mind I find buy one are for a Italian machine and the others are made by a little red car company lol. Stay away from these two, and that is my own opinion.
I was asking about the different faces on the pads. Some are flat, some have a hex pattern, some have a wave pattern. Does it make a difference?
I know some pads are made of a different type of foam (like Rupes pads), but my question is about the face of the pads.
I'll take a look at the HDO pads.

You may be waiting a lifetime, it's called supply and demand I'm sure your aware of it. Simple fix, get your self a smaller backing plate for your flex and you can use the adams pads that they currently sell.
I'm holding out for an Adam's solution... I bought the Flex from Adam's, because of their recommendations at the time. Kind of disappointed to come onto the site the other day looking to purchase new pads and not being able to.

I don't know what happened to my answers since adams does not sell a 6.5 pad I use the lake country HDO pads they are specifically made for forced rotation machines.
Never did get an answer to my question.
Anybody?

Your question was answered above. All pads are the same just different makers make different pads. Since adams stopped making a 6.5 inch pad I use lake country HDO pads they are specifically made for forced rotation machines. Hope this answered your question.

It's moments like these that make you want to endulge in your favorite pastime. As for me I like to feed whomever comes along and look at their face of joy when they taste the good stuff.
As for Chris and the young gun Nate Dawg, only time will tell!
