  1. Sorry for your loss. May the fond memories the 2 of you made together, rise up and again brighten your spirits.
  2. Awesome win, congrats. Let us know if it smells like wedding cake..
  3. You should be able to take out the existing nozzle and plug in the foam cannon.
  4. I would love a caddy as well but can't use it. My drivwway is gravel..
  5. From one relative newbie to another, welcome to the forum. Don't be bashful with regards to your questions, even if they were answered in a previous post. The only silly question, is the one left un-asked. Would like to see pic's of your new car as well as around your town. As someone who has never been to a diff country I find seeing and learning about differing cultures interesting.
  6. Dang!!! I would be livid. That is a sad sight to see. Get the name of the road crew doing the painting and file a claim. A good bug and tar remover may help to take it off. I am sure that there are chemicals you could use, but I have no experience in using such so will defer that advice to someone else who has experience in using them.
  7. Being as the truck has the felt wheel well liners. I actually use it on my 4 wheeler to bring back the sheen to the black fender edging and foot rests.
  8. I'll add, that once you pull everything that you can. IT wouldn't be a bad idea to run a dehumidifier in the car for a couple days.
  9. IMHO, if it were my car and insurance didn't total it. I would pull the seats, carpet and padding out. If it is within financial means, I would replace both the carpet and padding or at the very least replace the padding.
  10. I'll second the need for a new detailing guide. With all of the new products that Adams has out now. A new detailing guide would help both myself as well as all the other newb's out there.
  11. That's what I was thinking. Although my truck isn't black, it's the closest thing to it. being the iridium Metallic. Thinking I am going to stick with the clay and eliminate the possibility of scratching the paint.
  12. I know that I am late to the Mitt party but was curious as to how well the mitt works, in comparison to the clay bar, in removing bugs. Especially the nasty little live bugs.
  13. Have seen it on mine as well. It's the nature of the beast when one set of threads is made from a harder material than the others. You also have to be careful not to cross thread as well. Ask me how I know..Lol.
  14. Looks fast just sitting on the trailer. Love the colors. Heading into town now to find some extra 5 1/2" pads.
  15. WI'll do, thanks. What should I use as a sealer/protectant?
  16. Boat is washed on a monthly basis when not used and washed after every trip as well as between trips. There is no real oxidation to speak of, I'm just looking to up the shine factor.
  17. Thanks for the tips. Thankfully it's not at the wet sand stage, it just doesn't have that showroom shine it did when new 4 years ago. Which is what I would like to get back. I would preferably like to stick with 1 manufacturers product to lessen the need to have a cluttered stock pile, however, I will if Adams products aren't up the task nor are they made for my ultimate goal... No offense meant to Adams whatsoever. Current gel coat condition. Mind you the weather is grey and dreary so the color (Abaco Green) isn't as noticeable as if it were sunny out.
  18. Merry Christmas to 1 and all. May God's grace bless us all this holiday season as well as those forthcoming.
  19. Santa dropped off the new Swirl Killer the blue, orange and microfiber pad, as well as a detail spray, Heavy Correcting Compound and Correcting polish. Being as I am also an avid fisherman are there any products that aren't compatible with my boats gel coat? Seeing as gel coat is more porous than automotive paint, would my new Adams work or should I use something made specifically for marine coating applications? Time off and high winds have me contemplating detailing the boat and the new toy is just begging to be used.
  20. I bought a variable PSI Generac gas press washer 4 years ago and haven't had 1 hiccup out of it ( knock on wood ). I use it mostly to clean the boat after fishing ( every other weekend ) and for the Foam Cannon which I couldn't be happier with. Same model as Philhibner posted.
  21. Would clay barring with glass cleaner work, followed by glass sealant not make it easier to keep clean?
  22. Haven't used that specific brand but use a comparable unit for doing oil changes in my outboard. Works as advertised and helps to keep things ( namely me ) clean.
  23. Or entertaining depending on which side of the flames you're on.
  24. Thanks for the info Ed. I now have enough ammunition to make mine. Just as soon as the wife quits looking at me funny.
