Welcome to the group! You will find several of us from OC in here!

I tried it yesterday and I didn't have any issues... windows sparkled just fine.

My friend gave me a 1/2 gallon of an old Adams Glass Cleaner. It's milky green in color and a has a green apple scent? She said she didn't like it at all and I should give it a try. I have all of the other glass cleaners. How did this one differ from the clear green glass cleaner? Anyone have any thoughts?

Side kick seems cool but not 80 bucks cool. Most of us have an air compressor in the garage, whats the big advantage to the sidekick?
I know it has a heating element but does that really make all the difference?
Great tool, not loud. Fast and easy to use no hoses, no tank drain, love it!

Being a hunter, I collect and love vintage hunting and fishing items. Old decoys, wooden ammo boxes, shotgun shell boxes, traps, reels and lures.
Lets see what you got...???
Tinkering. I'm always on the lawn mower, using the blower, waxing something, or just finding something that needs attention. Aside from an occasional beer, I don't drink, never smoked. I'm pretty boring generally.
In my world that's called being a husband... my wife always finds something that needs attention. My life at 3:56m!

I guess I have to specify... What are your legal vices...?

Between work and car washes what other addictions do you all have?
Mine would be Sonos.... started with just one Play 1 and now have the whole set up plus a few... Got a Play 5 the other day and hooked it up to run with Alexa (Amazon), tons of fun! I need to have her give me updates on new products from Adams some how. Between Adams and Sonos I have a very expensive addiction... My wife can understand the Sonos because you can really hear the quality. Adams is a harder sell, maybe I shouldn't wash her car for two weeks and see if she notices?

We definitely deal with the results of very different climates when it comes to car care. I'm jealous!
Oh yeah... I know what you are going through. I tried to wash my car regularly when I lived in Saratoga, and NH. Between snow rain mud season, bugs and pollen you are certainly challenged.
-
I was thinking of doing it just to get the pollen off the car. Washed the car on Sunday and it's now yellow.
yep agreed, I don't like to waterless when there is so much dirt in the air..but tonight I used the sidekick and waterless washed and no worries... That is the great thing about Adams, there are so many options and ways to keep your car clean!

I did my silver Ford Flex with both last weekend. I did Brilliant Glaze on the whole car prior to waxing. I did Patriot on the driver side and Americana on the passenger side... After I was done I looked hard at both sides and on my silver car I could not tell a difference. Not sure if a darker car would show better, they usually do... I will stick with Americana, it was just as easy as the Patriot to put on and take off..

Wait so you just sprayed it with the foam gun then rinsed and it looks that good?!!?!?!??
yeah... I was surprised too... I'm sure I missed a few spots but touched them up the following day. I think the foam gun does a good job of lifting dirt and then blasting with a rinse, and detail spray drying you can't go wrong.
oh and there is something special about the Red Car Shampoo... always leaves the cars perfect...

loving the Red Car Shampoo

Got home from dinner and did a quick Foam Gun Wash with Adams Red Throwback Car Shampoo. I haven't touched either DD's for two weeks and the dirt fell right off. Dried with Detail spray and great white drying towel.... they look wet in the dark. took only 30 min start to finish... part of the Adams appeal easy care...

I would do a combo. Merino mitt for the top half and the new sponge for the bottom half.
I think its time for someone to make an Adams spoof video again.... We have so many options now it would be funny to see all of them in one video...

Ryan, I want to ask you about the red applicator, I hope your not storing it in your tub of paste wax when not your in use because it will absorb all your wax and be very wasteful, just an FYI thought.
I just put to much on apparently.
-
Oh, that is an easy one. I will even provide a link for you. All you need is one of these.....

second!

Ugh... I have a half tub of Americana and a back up... I'll never finish it if I follow the instructions... thank you for the input everyone

I have a few questions....
1. In general.. how long do the applicators last. I know it depends on use, like the tire shine applicators will shread sooner than the blue reveive. Is there a general consensus?
2. The Americana applicator oozes wax for ever while cleaning... when is enough enough to say it's clean, and am I using to much during the application process. This was used on two cars and just keep oozing. See pic.
3. How often do you replace the VRT foam blocks?
BTW...I have seen the Shine Doc video, caring for your foam pads...
Thanks guys

I haven't used mine on a car yet... I use it to clean up after woodworking, before painting.. to dust the house..LOL wife loves that..not really, blow out nooks and crannies inside car... blow dust bunnies from everything!

Adams product development is out pacing its customers...I still have a bottle of the "old", but when you only use it 2 times a year its hard to go through it. I luckily have several cars to play with so I shall go for the new soon.
I hope its easier on and off, my arm used to be wasted after I was done with a car. Love the licorice smell though, kind of bummed its going away.
