From that photo it looks like that area has been sanded and never finished out. Was that area ever repainted?
It is possible that it is burn through.
Agreed. Sorry about that. That pic wasn't there when I gave you my answer.

If you're feeling grit on your Vette paint, then you need to do a total detail. Clay, wash, polish, and then either wax or apply Graphene or Ceramic coating. I use the Graphene Spray Coating on mine and it's great. Watch the videos on how to use it and follow the steps exactly. I'd do that before jumping into a paint job. Welcome to the forum!

That's a bit too warm. Especially if it's humid. Wait for a cooler, dryer day or in air conditioning. Ideally, between 65 and 80*.

Not really. It's personal preference. I will recommend that you follow up with the Leather Conditioner afterwards no matter if you use the gel or the liquid. Cleaning products will tend to dry fabrics out, so they need the conditioning afterwards.

Welcome to the forum Archie! What are you working on?

Welcome to the forum. Try the Graphene Spray Coating. It works great, and takes one day , not even a whole day. You'll get great protection in less time.

I use clear bins from the Dollar Store. I get mice in my garage, so I have to have them sealed up.

Welcome to the forum. Word of advice..........find someone else to detail and care for your car. After a second messup, you shouldn't go back.

You're good to go for a year at least. Like Guz said, not necessary.

Welcome to the forum! Closest I ever got to a Harley was a 1973 Yamaha 350 in 1973! Enjoy your ride and keeping her looking her best.

Hi and welcome to the forum. The ideal temps for storage are between 55 and 85 degrees. So if your garage gets above 100* consider putting it inside an insulated chest or inside in a cooler room.
