Hey Everybody,
 
I just wanted to introduce myself to the forums. I am the newest Adam's Polishes team member! I have been here about three months and am loving it.

A little background about me... I am a local to Louisville, CO where headquarters is located. I started out as a customer that would occasionally pick up detailing products for our household. One day I walked in to restock and met THE Adam! I mentioned to him that if he ever needed any help to let me know. The next week I was in the office working! My main focus here is customer service. If anyone ever needs anything or has a problem, feel free to give the office a call and if your lucky you'll get me. If your un-lucky you will get Ben. (Just kidding Ben!) You might have seen me at some shows or spoke to me on the phone already. I'm still learning and I'm sure will continue to learn for a long time about the detailing industry.
 
Some more information about me: I love all European automotive. Now, majority of our customer base is domestic automotive so I'm learning A LOT. No too long before I started working at Adam's I got my MK7 VW Golf and recently put some lowering springs and a down pipe on. Currently 3Zero3 Motorsports is waiting for REVO to send over the software for my stage 2 tune.
 
Anyhow, I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself so when you see me commenting on the forum (or if you're ever at headquarters) you don't have to wonder who I am.

Today, I did a quick wash on the Raptor and boy does the guard and gloss really hold up well. I came across a problem at first because I had no drying towels so what the guard and gloss allowed me to do is an almost perfect sheeting method and then from there I just used detail spray and a double soft to clean up a couple wet spots. So not only does this stuff shine like crazy it provides outstanding protection! Enjoy some pics

I appreciate the responses guys! It looks like I'm set on a brilliant glaze and Patriot combo! This was never meant to start any forum/name bashing, just like knowing what else is out there and having a solid opinion on the competition

After I condition the seats, I place the towel in the container.  Every couple of days, I add some LCON juice (3oz Leather Conditioner, fill rest of bottle with distilled water) to keep the scent alive.  It lasts longer in the cooler months, in the heat of summer it dries out in a day and loses most of the scent.
 

 
 
Once Matt releases the Leather Conditioner Bottle Air Fresheners, I will wear one around my neck 24/7.

In light of recent events.......

I enjoy doing detailing. I do it on the side. Everything from sanding out defects, compounding, polishing, headlight restoration, etc. I enjoy doing it all.
 
Most people I come in touch with who want work done to their cars fall in the Daily Driver, basic detail seeking customer.
 
While I love breaking out the wet-sand paper, polishers, compounds, etc. These people don't even know what swirls are. Even if I go overboard and do some correction on their paint, it's going to be in vain. It's just a matter of time before they put the swirls right back in!
 
What these people want is shiny paint, clean windows, black tires, and a clean and fresh smelling interior.
 
The new video Adam did about daily driver basic detailing is exactly what this type of customer is looking for.
 
The standard way of doing a basic wash, dry, clay, wax can take upwards of 4 hours, add an hour vacuuming and wiping down the interior, unless your getting $150 to do this, which the average Joe (pun intended) isn't willing to pay, all your profitability just went down the drain with the suds you rinsed off the car.
 
The only thing I may add to what he does is a little spray of APC on any dried bug guts, your going to seal with HGG and clay anyway, so stripping old LSP, if they even have any on the car, is OK.
Also instead of clay I use a speedy prep towel, it saves a lot of time vs standard clay. I will use DWC on the face of the wheels (no sense to do the barrels on this type of detail, 99.99% of people won't even notice).
 
A standard sized car takes about an hour to an hour and a half for the exterior.
 
So I'm done in 2 to 2 1/2 hours, adding an hour for the interior. I get $75, customers are happy, and I make a little profit to re-invest in my business.

I've tried a bunch of stuff from Auto Finesse, and really wanted to like it, but can't really get into most of it.
 
Finale detail spray: Decent enough, nice and slick with good beading between washes.  That said I've already ordered a replacement.
Triple AIO: Easy to apply, major PITA to remove, could never get anywhere near the results by hand that others claim.
Tough Coat sealant: Smells like a bottle of straight gasoline, never even used it.
Crystal glass cleaner: Sucks
Citrus APC: Wouldn't remove week-old tire dressing, let alone brake dust.

Hahaha! Wait, no laughing...RIP old fridge.

While as of late I've sort of started collecting waxes, to be honest you would probably have a hard time telling the difference between Americana or patriot against any of the other boutique waxes. Find one you like, that smells to your fancy, and rub it on.
 
In the end, the wax is only as good as your prep/correction anyway

As a dealer I like to try and keep current with what the market is offering. That said, I put our Adam's line against anything out there, and Patriot is simply amazing. It's pricey, but the results are priceless (sorry MasterCard). Everytime I use I am blown away.

Great feedback, and thank you!  That's what we do the most.  We keep our Daily Drivers as clean as possible, and they get cleaned 10X as often as the rest!   This was a very real video, certainly, and it was 90 degrees that day....I had to rush in order to avoid having the water, or product dry on the vehicle.

Correct, going over the car with a clay bar is going to pull the majority (if not all) of the Americana paste wax off of the clearcoat. It would then be perfect to apply a coat of H2O Guard and Gloss onto the smooth surface, just like Adam does in the video.
 
You could then follow up with Americana or Brilliant Glaze or Patriot, but you might be happy enough with the incredible shine and protection that HGG offers!

So this is after the beads are wiped away! Really getting some good shine and reflections out of this red truck

I have yet to get my orbital back up and running, and I'm thinking I need to ASAP because doing this truck by hand can take it out of ya. Truck has always been properly hand washed per Adam's video guides. It definitely does make a difference because their is very minimal swirls. I am very pleased with the products once again!

And no, I did not go to school at EWU. I just got this background because the black and red matched my truck. However, I have been on the EWU campus a lot the past 1.5 years, and a few times every week for the past few months, working on a project to make improvements to the water system. This project will be another 1.5-2 years before it is complete, so the plates will get lots of campus time.
 
The new plates are a huge improvement over the standard Washington blue and white plates.
