  1. Love the W&W! Car looks great. Willing to bet you may have another car to haul the bagpipe, though!
  2. Congrats...you've been assimilated! Great to hear it turned out well. Told ya the HGG works like a champ on white! For additional lubrication for the clay, you might also consider not drying the car before you start. The residual water will help preserve at least some DS. Looking forward to the pictures!
  3. Awesome write up, Tony. Buuutttttt...pics or it didn't happen! BTW, for tougher jobs, give the LIC a run. Great stuff!
  4. Bump. There have to be some new ones...or maybe oldies but goodies?!
  5. For a daily, it's hard to beat PS as your base, unless you want to venture into coatings. Like Tex said, HGG every 3-5 washes or so is perfect...and certainly not excessive. These two products alone will give you solid protection, beading, and shine through the winter months. Ading waxes will give you more depth/shine, but on a white car/truck, not as much as you'd likely see on a darker colored car. The HGG, on the other hand, works like a champ. Have you read this, http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/27631-faq-should-i-use-wax-or-sealant-on-my-car/, or watched this yet?
  6. Agreed, not true. Curious...where did you read that?
  7. Nope, WV. Given WVU is the state/hometown team...Go Mountaineers!...for the NFL, it's the land of Browns, Bengals, Steelers and even some Redskin fans. But I've been a Packer fan for years.
  8. Welcome to the addiction, Dave! PS and HGG work great on white! My guess on Mat's comments re: clay is to prevent potential marring. Given that it's new, it very well may still have contaminants, including rail dust, that clay would remove. IMO, I recommend you clay it. But if you really want, do the baggie test...place a plastic bag over your hand, and lightly rub the surface of the paint. If it feels rough, clay is the next step. Then, baggie it again to feel the difference.
  9. It's October and you're already planning summer attire?! I don't even know what I'm wearing tomorrow. Dustin, I know you have at least two similar style shirts, one hers and one his...or they may have both ended up hers...
  10. Yep, yep! Paint, chrome, aluminum, glass. Just not tires.
  11. Only every time I check my bank account before an Adam's sale.
  12. Good to know, Dan, thanks. I hope to make it back up there soon.
  13. Yes. The red and yellow are essentially the same softness. It can be used for any of the waxes, too.
  14. Given the new color but still "pumpkin" label, my guess is it's pumpkin seed scented.
  15. At the risk of starting a heated debate, which I really don't intend to do, I think stating it's "improper" to not use a 2-bucket wash method is a bit misleading. It's certainly ideal for garage queens and the like, but for those of us with daily drivers only, myself included, we can get by just fine with one bucket, a grit guard, a high quality soap like Adam's shampoo, and a high quality wash pad or two. Bottom line, the technique used will vary person to person, car to car, and maybe even day to day. It all depends on the results you're after.
  16. Was it a reference from the Mercedes owner?
  17. Sometimes seeing a demo is easiest...check out this link/video on the forum Detailing Library thread: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/28827-ask-the-shine-doc-ep-10-cleaning-accessories/
  18. Yep, do it, Sherri! Easy to do and my favorite product hack to date, it also makes the car smell like pina colada! And what Eric and Chris said above are spot on...
  19. In case you haven't read it yet, some more info on caring for your towels can be found here...http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/27969-faq-how-do-i-take-care-of-my-microfiber-towels/.
  20. Unfortunately didn't get to go; more advanced notice would be great next time, please. Did anyone else on here, and can you share your experience/pictures?
