  1. Yes I agree online is usually cheaper, but I was just thinking of over the counter price. I've never heard of Valeo, I'll have to do some research on those.
  2. Noticing iron fallout on light colored vehicles, I get peved when I see them on my truck. See some cars, might as well just repaint them orange. I also keep a clean microfiber in the center console, would love to keep Detail spray in there year round, but Wisconsin = frozen ????
  3. Get those garbage OEM wipers off of your truck. I have a 16 Silverado had the dealer change blades 3 times, was ready to have new wiper arms put on, switched to Bosch icons and now have ZERO issues.
  4. Yes I would have to agree some kind of debriss was frozen on the window.
  5. I'm an automotive technician, so I have a pretty good idea of how soon a gas or diesel should take to warm up. That being said I've already gone rounds with the dealer that my truck is slow to warm up, 10 to 15 min. sometimes to blow good warm air. If there is thick ice I have to scrape, it doesn't melt by the time I get to where I'm going.
  6. My truck takes forever to warm up, had dealer look at and they say it's normal, so I almost always have to scape. The marks are going side ways and don't follow the path of the wipers. Most of them are 1.5" to 2.5" long, but when I scrape my motion is longer than that so I'm not sure what's up with the scratches
  7. was it covered under warranty?
  8. Just watched the new video from Adam, it was very cool to hear about the history of the company the product development. And I now know why everything has such a great smell!
  9. can't say I'm in love with my 16 Silverado, GM build quality isn't what it used to be. Don't know if any other manufacturers are any better though.
  10. Thanks for the input Joe. Genuine GM junk
  11. Has the GM logo in the lower right corner
  12. I have one, and it just seems to add a fun factor. Having one now, I don't think I would replace it if it were to break. But I would still consider myself a novice compared to some on here so I can't say for sure if there is any added benefit or protection.
  13. I know some one on here replaces and fixes windshields, was just wondering if GM uses a softer glass than most others. Having problems with scratches on my 2016, have tried diffrent ice scrapers and techniques and am still having issues. Any advice or suggestions would be great.
  14. Thanks, like the blue on your Scion.
  15. Hello and welcome to the forum
  16. I'd love it if a customer would remove the residue for me. I try to remove as much as I can when balancing wheels, but I don't get paid to sit there all day and remove stick-on weight adhesive. I know of some shops/people who don't remove any and will put new weights right on top of the old adhesive. Stuff like that is just asking for a come back, when the new weight falls off and customer comes back with a shake.
  17. I wouldn't be concerned with getting battery terminals wet. Just gently rinse engine compartment with a hose and dry with a sidekick. You would be surprised how wet it can get in there. Here in Wisconsin if you park the wrong way during a snow storm wind will pack all kinds of snow in and engine compartment overnight. I understand your concern and better safe than sorry.
