  1. So what does it protect if not swirls...LOL

Paint sealant will not protect against swirls, that would be contaminates rubbing against the finish. That can be done by several means and even just things like a plastic bag blowing across your car in a parking lot. Paint Sealant is a great way to protect from water spots and bug guts but nothing can really prevent swirls in the paint until you talk about things like ceramic or other types of coatings or wrapping cars in a type of protective film.

Personally I love the sealant as a base layer of protection after a good cleaning and correction/decon as needed to then apply some other products over on my daily drivers.

  2. So about a month ago I paint corrected parts of my car, but at the time I didn't have any paint sealant. A few days ago I Was applying some detail spray to my trunk and notices a whole mess of swirls that weren't there after I paint corrected. I've only used Adam's towels on them and I feel like it might be cause I never used paint sealant...I'm trying to gauge if anyone has really noticed anything crazy with the use or lack of use of paint sealant. Also I did apply G&G as a substitute to the paint sealant.

  3. 10000000% I don't own a SK mini but I really want to get one, for example the small area between the doors and the roof, that small area can't be reached without the smaller pads. Another thing is when you get close to the edges on any panel it becomes difficult to gauge how much closer you have to move to the edge to do some actual correction. Another thing is my hood has a small raise and another flat panel, if you can imagine, paint correcting those areas is extremely difficult without a smaller pad.  There's a lot of small areas on the car that would appreciate a good smaller polisher.

I checked out the Swirl Killer today, I actually like the idea of having the regular 6"  and the small 3" MINI. Do you guys find having the smaller tool/pads useful for the tight spots ?

  4. I've done it with bare hands. I was using a wax that is over $1,600 for an eight ounce tub because that is what they recommend (it uses your body heat to warm and melt the wax). I was able to get a thin coat with even coverage.

That said, I only did that the one time for the experience.

I think for a one time trial it would be pretty cool, yeah the guy I saw in the video was using what they said was a $6,000 wax

  5. I've heard of this but I feel it takes too long to wax the car, and that you would not get super even coverage, plus if you don't wear gloves your hands would get nasty!

I don't know if the hands would get nasty, but TBH I can definitely see it taking a long time, but I just can't get used to the applicator, for some reason it's never uniform with me

  6. I've seen some sonit with gloves and some without. A Detailer local to me said something that really stuck with me. "If it's on ya, it's in you." So I always wear gloves when detailing. No need for extra chemicals getting on my hands and into my system. I'll just use an applicator.

Lol I doubt that the penetration of these liquids is that intense. Thanks to God ,skin is hard to get through (except when she dumps you  ), so I'm okay with a little life acceleration. I like fast cars, why not?

On the gloves note I think that just adds an extra risky factor that can increase risk of swirls and scratched.
