I must politely disagree with the above replies.

When claying, contaminates get knocked loose  and reside in the residue, which is why you should NEVER hand or machine polish right over the residue, or apply wax or sealant right over the residue.  Machine polishing over the clay residue is the worst, since any contaminates in the residue get picked up in the pads and worked against the paint by the machine.  Also, the clay residue clogs up the pads making them less effective and increasing the time required for polishing.  And it does not matter that it has been done and people do it, it just does not make any sense. Even the time savings justification that it "skips a step not removing the residue" does not make sense, since the time lost to clogged-up pads far exceeds the minimal time it takes to remove the residue before polishing.

My preferred method of removing claying residue is by washing.  I just make the claying step part of the washing process.  After wasing and rinsing, when the paint is clean, I move straight to claying instead of drying.  After claying, make another rinse to remove the residue, then dry before moving to the polishing step.

This is what I usually do.  I have even washed it by hand then foamed it again and used the foam as clay lube.

Agreed. Last sale my shipment took 12 days to arrive, little to long for my taste. BUT AWESOME PRODUCTS !!

It's like right now, the new products look awesome, and are some of the less questionable products they have came out with.  But I know if I order them it will be 10 days to get them.

Hey guys. Just had some work done on my classic show truck. had a new hood put on and painted and had some dents fixed.

As we know car show season is quickly approaching/already here at some places.  That being said im fully aware that newly painted surfaces cannot be waxed/sealed/coated for X amount of days. So what im looking for is a full list - right down to soaps etc of products i can safely use on my paint for shows etc that wont effect the outgassing of the paint until its fully cured.

    Thanks.

If the paint was baked after being painted, outgassing isn't much of a big deal.  Maybe 1 week then your back to it.

Pays to read the rules first.  But that's nice of you. :2thumbs:

Or I copied and pasted from Facebook, and instead of your condescending response you can have sent me a message asking to fix it, instead of acting like the big bad Admin ruling the world.  I have been here and traded enough, usually I stay away from it because it's a pain.  I about ready to load my Adam crap up and throw it in the river because of joke it is!

I hear you, I make my dealer aware during any visit I do NOT want the vehicle washed or detailed in any way.  I even have a hang tag I hang from the rear view mirror making them aware "Do NOT wash this vehicle" etc etc.  It is important to try and find a good dealer if you have multiple choices near where one lives.

I'd personally not let the dealer apply their 'stuff' to the vehicle OP but if it is something that doesn't bother you and you want to test half the hood, by all means, we'd love to hear your findings down the road.  I just feel don't let them introduce swirls or do anything if you're a competent detailer yourself.

We have used AutoArmour a couple times, but that is mostly because of leather tears and things like that.  They add a coating, but I usually strip wash the car and paint correct it when I get them home.

I'd personally find a local detailer with good reviews and have them apply a quality coating to the vehicle.  Or just do it yourself using one of Adam's many options.  This sounds like a dealer 'free now but pay up later' scam or it is provided free with no cost later but you did pay for it as it was 'bundled' into the whole final price of the vehicle without specifically saying you're paying $XXX for it.  Nothing is free, especially when it comes to car dealerships.  They may like using this as a way to get you back every 6 months and while there, they find you can have or need various other services performed which aren't 'free'.

I stay away from the dealer after purchasing my car unless I have an issue under warranty or am getting an included free oil change.

One thing I always told my self thru a lot of new cars lately.  Is I find a dealer that I trust their service work.  New cars are getting more and more expensive to fix, and mechanic shops are getting harder to find.  We have a Toyota, and there detailing and service is spot on! We have a Ford Dealer, their service is spot on, but detailing I will keep that on my own.

I have two disgusting cars. I can't wait for a few days for 40-50 degree weather so I can clean them up.

This weekend is supposed to be 40-50 degree weather.  Problem is it’ll melt the snow and make more of a mess.

Agreed sir. Well I will review it when I get a chance and bring the rating up some. I have the IK already and I am sure the Adams version is just as good. I plan to use the Adams one for tires and the standard IK on paint. I really have found a ton of use with mine and the dwell time makes it perfect for front ends with bugs and lower panels with heavy build up. I guess others haven’t found them quite so awesome but oh well. 🤷‍♂️

I believe they had some problems with the first batch, that is probably why this is bad reviews. I think that fact that you said your suprised they even got posted is wrong.  If people want to leave a bad review because they have a problem they are allowed to, that how it works. Also a lot of people lately have been bother by the mass rebranding that Adam's has done, and the direction they have went.

Thanks a mil Adam. That’s exactly how I remember things back when I was hitting the detailing hard. I appreciate you making things right, it’s the reason I’ve always been a loyal customer.

That's how it was about 2 years ago when I started, now its just OK at the best.  But looks like Adam still has the right ideas, and his employees might just reminded of the values!

Funny I came across this post. I called Adam's today (and also sent a message via Instagram) and was told the same thing by both- my Flex that I purchased around 2012 was not covered under any warranty and they had no evidence of ever providing a lifetime warranty. Before I lost it on someone I reminded them that I'm pretty sure my Master Blaster and Flex were purchased during a period where lifetime warranties were offered on tools so I came here to confirm. Now my Flex has probably been used less than 10 times and I've spent probably in the area of $2000 or more over the years on Adam's products, so before anyone accuses me of being a pro or someone who bought one item, that's not me. But I went to polish my vehicle yesterday and the pad that has the velcro on it started disintegrating until it completely fell off. Obviously I'm not in need of a new polisher nor was I expecting or trying to get one, but if you're going to offer a lifetime warranty then offer a lifetime warranty and don't BS me and send me to Amazon to buy a replacement part. Ironically when going thru my supplies a few days ago I discovered a gallon of Total Interior Detailer leaking all over my storage cabinets (a pic was provided). I was also told there's no replacement for leaking bottles any longer- which I explained that I could remember the days when I had an issue with a product and someone was eager to make it right and replace whatever was broken, etc. I went as far as telling the associate today that I'm not asking for a free gallon, but at least you can send me an empty gallon bottle so I can salvage what's left in mine- Nope. Go figure I tried out my new Ceramic Paint Coating Kit yesterday and went to apply the boost today as suggested by the videos and the sprayer head on the brand new unopened bottle of boost broke on me. I don't know what's changed over at Adam's because I've been pretty detached from the detailing stuff after my daughter was born and I started a second job, but I miss the old days where things were done differently. Part of the reason I spent more money buying products that could be sourced elsewhere for less was because of the great warranty and because I was a die hard Adam's Polishes Fan who turned a handful of people into fans.

Don't feel bad I asked if I could purchase a couple gallon jugs to consolidate a couple bottles that were broken.  I was told by Colton, that that was a special request and it could not be processed by Adams on Facebook.  I was alittle shocked, that after spending 2500$ in less than two years.  I decided to part ways, I sold alot of my extra stuff I stocked to help out friends, and am actually in the process of trying to find a different brand.  It's sad my business was lost over $10 in jugs.
