I’ve heard good things abour Criswell’s. And they do have a good inventory also! Drove thru the lot last Weekend! -
No, that was great man! And all I have to do is add in the correcting stage, prior to finishing and save the AIO for the parents car ? Here are a couple pics the Honda is my wifes, the pic was last summer. It hadn’t been washed in probably 2years, never corrected. Its a 2006. I used Megs compound, and Griots BOSS correcting. (This was before my Adam’s arsenal was on point) . The Tahoe is mine not polished, just sporting 4 coats of BG back on Thanksgiving 2017. Do you think using Adam’s Orange and White I can make the wifes “dripping wet”?
-
Sounds good Shane, thanks for the info, makes perfect sense. Curious if you have used Adam’s 1Step. I am not very versed on polishing, I’ve only done it 3 times total between my wifes and my SUV’s. But before winter, I used Adam’s 1step, and it worked great removing all the swirls and clay bar marring from my Chevy paint. I also thought it left an exceptional high gloss. That was in December, it still looks amazing after a wash and detail spray. I just want to see how much better I can make it look like “dripping water” for the summer. I have all of Adam’s newer polishing liquids, also have Griots BOSS Correcting cream and Griots complete polish(which I think it like Revive)
-
Question.... Does anyone know which would add more gloss, Finishing Polish and white pad OR One Step Polish and white pad? spring cleaning is coming soon and I want my jet black to be PERFECT! ?
-
Yes i saw that too. This is the best shot i got prices seem reasonable. I always thought coatings were well over a grand or 1500.

Very cool Rich, thank you! Any better pics by chance? I really enjoy learning the roots of the things I’m into.

Any idea what the products are by the center play button? Dont look like Adam’s, but are in the Marketing room

I have both, use both, like both. I have some diluted, and have used it for the engine compartment, works very well, just spray on and walk away...if you want.

Glass Boost & General Glass Sealant question
Nickfire20 replied to rondre's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
No cure time that i know of. Longevity? My truck is garage kept and only driven in the rain when I have to work on a rainy day. I drive 30miles 1 way, hi way, farm country, and city. It lasts me a while. But at the same time, between boost and GnG, I have never seen a depressed amout of beads. You know I hit my wifes car a few times a year with both and same thing. Beads never diminish. Hers is always outside and is our more common rainy day car. I dont use much either, just a couple spritz, nothing close to what Adam does in the glass boost video. I would think it lasts 2-3 months. And another thought, I did my parents car and windshield last June (2017) with paint sealant...their windshield still beads! -
Glass Boost & General Glass Sealant question
Nickfire20 replied to rondre's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Ive used both. Not sure if it was together. But more recently i have used detail spray when drying on the windshield and at other times H2O GnG. And at other times I used glass boost. I absolutely love glass boost. If i were in your shoes right now. I would leave Griots out and just do glass boost to seal the windshield. Ive never had my wipers squeak, but ive had them skip, and i think i had to much product on at that point, so i cleaned, clay, and added boost, things were back to perfect. -
I do, sealant glaze wax, then glaze every week or every other day ? Someone told me the glaze has to go first or it wont fill in any swirls missed by polishing. Said if you glaze over sealant or wax it wont fill in the defects. What’s everyone’s thoughts on that.

I have also read about people overdoing GnG, absolutely insane! Good job clearing the garage, i know the feeling. I also know about other so so items ? They are now gone as well. i have not compared GnG and wax. But I have compared GnG and ceramic boost. I preferred the GnG, but I just bought another boost recently. Its not bad, but you have to literally use a 1/4 spray on each panel, buffing is difficult with CB. It smudges easily, and rightfully so, its made for a different application, but it leaves an awesome gloss on Balck! -

Brilliant glaze is the bomb, i use it multiple times a week, when the truck is clean, makes the paint look dripping wet. As for your other question, I alternate, so I washed my truck Saturday, dried with DS. That night I brilliant glazed her, and “locked it in” with ceramic boost. Other times I lock it in with buttery or Americana. If i use GnG, that’s typically good to go, until I get antsy and need therapy again ? GnG gives an incredible mirror finish, where the waxes give it a wetter deeper finish. Both are spectacular and addictive! Also a bottle of GnG will last about 12months between 2 SUV’s, too much at once smears and doesn’t evaporate. Just a couple sprays per panel. 6-8 for hoods/roofs. I loved GnG sooo much when i first got it, i ended up with 7 bottles. Then seeing how slow my first bottle wasn’t moving, I traded 5 bottles away. Haha. -
HELP! Towels washed with regular soap and softener!!!
Nickfire20 replied to falcaineer's question in Towels, Brushes, & Accessories
I have been wondering the same thing for a while now. Every company has different recommendations. Griots says to wash on hot and hang dry. TRC says cold, tumble dry, and dont boil. I have boiled a linty towel before, and it has helped but not fixed the problem...this towel has become my GnG towel, because it does not lint when wet. Im currently fighting with Griots because my PFM drying towel doesn’t dry any more, and is less than a year old and I probably only have used it 6-8 times. So i may boil it. ?♂️?♂️?♂️ -

Your first question-it does boost glass sealant. and for your other questions....I put down paint sealant twice a year after a good strip/clay/polish and then maintain with buttery, americana, GnG, Ceramic Boost, Detail Spray(it has wax in it), and wash and wax. I can’t keep my hands off my truck, I’m always doing something. I will say, even with all this protection, the bottom rocker panels, still display standing/sticking water at times. And the rear window/tailgate always collects and holds onto dirt. (I have a Chevy Tahoe) And all other surfaces constantly bead. -
I’m with Rich, had no idea the snow was coming tomorrow. Did mine and the wife’s SUV’s yesterday. At least they were fresh for the holiday parties.

I have all that are mentioned above. I love the singles. Super fluffy and soft. Great for DS as well as removing BG, PS, BW etc...

I am by far no expert, but the SK uses more watts than the Rupes. That too me would be a good thing. but again, I dont know a whole heck of a lot. I know my SK15 corrects way faster than my Griots 6”
