OK, so I'm a pretty OCD detailer. I have tons of Adam's products and for me its like therapy keeping my cars perfect. But did I go too far today?
I like all the stuff related to my detailing regimen clean and today I put Gloss and Guard on my buckets my bucket dollies. I have the red, blue and black combo for dollies and they always look spotty, NOT anymore. GG made them look awesome!
Have I gone to far? And, Apologies in advance to anyone that now feels compelled to do this to their buckets / dollies.
I don't think that's going too far. But this is coming from a guy who rinses and dries off his bottles of Adam's products before returning them to their rightful place in the "Adam's Only" cabinet after each use.

Thanks for the tips! I just wasn't sure if the ceramic coating now was the best idea since it will be sitting on a boat/truck for about 30 days heading back to the mainland and if that would take a tole on the coating. I will probably head by the Adams dealer out here this week anyways either for the paint sealer or to see how much the ceramic job is from them. Last time I went in he did mention this would be the easiest and best time to do it when it's brand new.
You're welcome Dylan. The dealer is right, now is the best time to apply the coating. It will definitely help keep the finish protected for the longest amount of time compared to any other product. Also, with the trip back to the mainland taking upwards of 30 days, you'll want protection that will last the duration.

Hi Dylan,
If the paint is in good shape right from the dealer....no swirls etc...apply liquid paint sealant and follow that up with weekly two bucket washes and alternating G&G and detail spray as a drying aid. That should hold you over until the car comes back to the mainland. However, if you can pony up the bucks now, the ceramic coating is the way to go. It will save you a tremendous amount of time with routine maintenance. Just my two cents.

Welcome to the forum Don.
Agreed......Adam is a fantastic guy!!! I met him at Detailer's Domain this Summer. He was genuine and down right funny, too.

Brilliant Glaze works excellent as a glass polish that keeps the haze off the interior of your windshield. Along the same line of thinking, it should work wonders on your bathroom mirror and windows.
It's well worth giving it a try. After all, you only have so much blood to lose.

Glad to hear you are doing OK Scott. I'm sure you'll be back to working on those amazing cars before too long.

Thanks for the responses! I'll look into the waterless wash option since I don't want to affect the the hydrophobic properties of the coating
You're best option is the waterless wash to clean the light dust that accumulates on ceramic coated vehicle. You shouldn't use the detail spray as it contains a trace amount of carnauba wax which will slightly diminish the hydrophobic properties of the ceramic coating if used frequently. You can, however use the matte detail spray as an alternate to the waterless wash since it contains no wax.

Just locked in my order. Grabbed quite a list of things that were waiting in my cart along with the Pumpkin Spice Detail Spray. Paid the extra $8 for expedited shipping. I should have everything by the weekend.

Don't think so. The MF pads used to be blue but changed to grey within the last year or so (don't remember...all days run together now!). Probably just an outdated pic.
Thanks Chris. Much appreciated. I just ordered some Brilliant Glaze and wanted to make sure I could use the grey applicators I got in my last Mystery Box.

Darnit Zman! There goes my trading chances LOL! I didn't want to say it; but that's exactly what I thought. Something just didn't turn out right with that scent. Ewe! Next year they should go with the mystery detail spray scent. I'd buy a gallon of it.
Back to the spice: I noticed they added a kit with the spray, towels, air freshener and stickers. That's a nice bundle!
Yup, I saw that too, and for 5 bucks more than the other kit....I'll grab one up. Gonna get a gallon combo kit too, so I'll have 4 orange towels and 2 -16oz bottles. I like to have a 2nd bottle so I can keep 1 spare.
I agree that the Mystery scent was way better than the Blueberry. I'd buy a gallon of Mystery if it was available.

Quick question for the group..........is there a difference between the grey microfiber applicators and the blue ones shown with the Americana Shine kit ?
-
....already out of stock
I believe it hasn't been released yet, so it is showing up on the website as out of stock. Probably will be released in a few minutes.

Looks like a combo of the current soap and the throwback soap..... going back to grammar school art class.......blue + red = purple.
Possibly formulated just for matte finish vehicles. Keeping the color coded theme with the Matte Detailer that is also purple.
