  1. I’m saying it’s good for 12amps (1300watts). Don’t know what the Rupes is rated at. But buy the 12ga if you can afford it
  2. Always buy the bigger cord if you can afford it, At some point you'll want it. But, to answer your question, 12amps is about the most you will want to run over 50' with 14ga cable.
  3. The microfiber pad is pretty aggressive, even on the porter cable. Stick with foam until you're sure you need something more aggressive.
  4. I was told to bring the stuff inside if it gets below 45° or above 95°. Winter definitely gets colder than 45° in my garage
  5. I don't suppose Adams is coming out with a 20 bottle box any time soon? I have a lot of products that need to be stored out of the garage now that winter is coming.
  6. It would almost seem worth while to custom fill orders as requested, on these particular orders. That way you’re. It stocking items you won’t sell lots of, but are available to provide what they need too. It’s tough for huge organizations to provide this service, that is one of the places small to medium businesses shine
  7. Exactly, Shane. And to his point, someone with the finishing polish on the white pad with a PC sitting still for a minute won’t remove swirl marks. So, GFlash, to answer your question: • Don’t be dumb • Use a machine you’re comfortable with • Always start with the least aggressive polish first to gauge how much work you need to actually do • Keep the machine moving • Check your work frequently
  8. All of the Adam’s polishes besides the revive are technically abrasive polishes. Though none will hurt the paint as long as you use the right tool halfway competently
  9. Not yet. I want to pull it out again and do a little more monkeying with it to see exactly what gets it hot or not, and maybe get some temp readings. Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to figure it out.
  10. Its tough to say what grit to start with, but if there are scratches you can feel, start with I would start with something in the neighborhood of 800. If it takes them off easy then progress finer and finer. If you start too fine, you'll never properly remove the scratches and the finish wont be as clear because the surface wont be perfectly flat. Same goes for wet sanding paint issues. If you start too fine, you'll never get an ideal final product
  11. I love the RW. I can wash all 4 cars in the driveway in less than 45 minutes (suburban, crew cab pickup, 5-series bmw and my beater neon). Im sure I could bang them all out in 30 if they were smaller. I haven't found a good solution to wheels and tires yet, but I give the cars an actual wash every 4-6 weeks and with GnG on the wheels and TireShine on the tires, they look good for those weeks.
  12. Oh, and you don't need a lot of pressure. Let the sandpaper do the work
  13. The only thing that you could really damage is if you sand the paint. Go slow, do it by hand. Back and forth, not circles. The trick to going up to the next grit level is that you only go up when you are done removing the scratches left from the previous grit. 2000 grit will never remove 600 grit scratches, but 800 grit will.
  14. Wetsand then polish clear again. Start with 800 grit, spray liberally with soapy water. If thats not cutting well enough, go down to 600 or even 400. Once the scratches are out, step up sizes until you get to 1500 or maybe 2000. Then polish out with the headlight restoration kit
  15. Not much. Even in free spin with no extra pressure it gets way warmer than my pc ever got
  16. Just because your breaker says 20A doesn’t mean it’s capable of handling 20amps. Wire size and distance play a roll as does heat of the space you’re working in or where the breaker is. And if the breaker is old, it could be getting weak. Easiest solution is to take an amp reading of the two compressors. You will know right away if you’re having an issue
  17. Upholstery cleaner and the cockpit brush made quick work of my kids car seat straps. It’s amazing how quickly they get disgusting
  18. My new SK gets pretty darn toasty when in use. Is this normal? my Bmw is kicking my butt. The clear is brutally hard. The blue pads barely put a dent in the swirls, and they aren’t that severe. Microfiber pads will be used next time I have a free day. But if my SK is having issues, I want to get it sent back ASAP, before winter gets here
  19. The problem with doing this kind of thing to your car is that you realize how bad you need a repaint. Couldn’t even see the rock chips before I really cleaned everything
  20. Kind of what I figured, but I wanted to ask. Going to be placing an order here shortly and wanted to figure out how many I needed
  21. An Adam’s degreaser/tar remover would be great!
  22. What about GG being sprayed out of one of your pressure sprayers? Would a finer atomization of the product be a benefit?
