I love the RW. I can wash all 4 cars in the driveway in less than 45 minutes (suburban, crew cab pickup, 5-series bmw and my beater neon). Im sure I could bang them all out in 30 if they were smaller.

I haven't found a good solution to wheels and tires yet, but I give the cars an actual wash every 4-6 weeks and with GnG on the wheels and TireShine on the tires, they look good for those weeks.

The only thing that you could really damage is if you sand the paint. Go slow, do it by hand. Back and forth, not circles. The trick to going up to the next grit level is that you only go up when you are done removing the scratches left from the previous grit. 2000 grit will never remove 600 grit scratches, but 800 grit will.

The problem with doing this kind of thing to your car is that you realize how bad you need a repaint. Couldn’t even see the rock chips before I really cleaned everything

Went to an Antique Show in Portland, managed to pick up 3 vintage Gillette Razors, need some clean up to see date codes, but they all open well and the safety bars look straight. For $20 I couldn't pass them up.

Upholstery cleaner and the cockpit brush made quick work of my kids car seat straps. It’s amazing how quickly they get disgusting

An endless supply. Once you try it, you'll be hooked. And if not, let me know and I'll send you my address. I'll take it off your hands.

I don't mind it. People have a hard time starting conversations sometimes. It is better than, "nice weather we have been having". But yes, I hear it a lot

TexWalker got a reaction from shane@detailedreflections in using visco clay, get simple for a rookie
The contaminants end up imbedded in the clay as you fold. At some point, you will wear through the clay so that there is no more clean surfaces. At that point, you need to but a refill.

Not sure how often the big-shot mac-daddy browses the forums or the Lounge section, but I wanted to wish him a happy birthday!

Adam, I hope you are having a great day doing something you truly enjoy!

TexWalker reacted to BRZN in Visco Clay Bar usage
It took me a car or two to grasp the concept of the Geo Impression Tool. Once I got the hang of using it to hold the clay I use it almost all the time. As a handle, to re-imprint the waffle pattern, and to hold the clay securely. I prefer it on large flat panels, to using just the clay alone.

OP, I believe the blue and gray clay bars you have are from before the end of the patent held by Clay Magic. Adam's new Visco Elastic Clay Bar is a different animal from what was only available a couple/few years ago.

How do you know if it's time to be replaced? Just like any other clay bar; when you fold it into itself and what's now on the surface looks the same as you'd just folded in, time to replace.

I read that a coat of ceramic boost over the top of the Adam’s ceramic coating stops the stickiness

Heck, I used a cheap Chinese microfiber towel to apply glaze to my windows. I was desperate and had a towel handy. Didn’t want to deal with digging out and cleaning my nice stuff

Rinseless that has been diluted to a waterless wash solution can be used or Waterless wash as it comes will work great. Waterless won't necessarily ADD shine but it will make the surface clean to reveal the shine from the coating and Boost. Normal procedure for me on a coated car is, wipe down with Waterless/Rinseless and every couple months wipe down the car with Boost after the Waterless

I sprayed boost on it 48 hours after. Still hasn't been washed yet though. It does bead a ton when it rains. Just sat there staring at it lol
