I usually get 5-6 cars out of clay, and then I feel like they get wore out or to full. Lately though I've had cars that were pretty gross and seems to be quicker I feel.
5/6 cars sounds about right from what I have read. Then like you said if cars are much worse less use it will have.
Thanks for the the input. I appreciate it

Hi all,
I recently sold the Mustang and picked up a 2017 GTI. The GTI comes with painted rims and using car shampoo is a pain and doesn't necessarily clean the wheels deep enough. I have a tn of deep wheel cleaner at my expense. What is the ratio I should use to dilute the deep wheel cleaner so I won't hurt the paint on the rims?
Thanks!
I have a 17 GTI as well, right now I have been using some of the current wheel cleaner they have on the, front wheels. I use a my wheel towels in a bucket with some car shampoo and the have come out great, I usually dry and use some Buttery Wax on them. Has been a great system, they shine crazy and stay clean, and are easier to clean in future washes.

Come join the Adam's Team at the Ford Nationals at Carlisle June 1-3 on the Carlisle Fairgrounds. This show is huge, the largest show in Carlisle on the Fairgrounds every year. We'll have lots of product available and lots of expertise and advise for you from the pros on the Team. Adam plans to join us Friday, so if you're anywhere near Carlisle stop on by!
I wish I knew about this in time to go, hopefully next year they will be out again.

I flew down to West Palm Beach for Chevy dealer things and decided to go to Barrett. Walking around and I see Adam himself then the giant detail spray...thing. Anyways, stopped in and talked. I would pick up some products if I was checking a bag.
Great group of people. They were polishing a massive Rolls Phantom that was destroyed paint wise.
This is a really cool set up

C&C looked awesome, wish I didn't live so far away and could have made it out. Plus would have been awesome to snag the detail spray.

I would imagine mold would be the worst that could happen. Maybe something more? You can stick them in the wash machine. Cold with scent and dye free detergent. Dry on air dry or low heat. No linens or dry sheets.
I have had similar issues, was glad to find out that there is unlikely to be major issues. Also easy ways to fix it.

I have a pearl white metallic paint, as well. I agree with @Beemer, my recommendation is strip wash, clay, polish, (remove clay and polish residue with 50/50 iso alcohol or full-strength Coating Prep), and then PS. You can add BG last to make it shine, but after it wears off in a week or two, i recommend you use HGG to maintain every 4 washes or so. Bottom line, white really responds well to PS and HGG. You should also consider the W&W.
Note Revive isn't very powerful, so while you said you have some minor imperfections, if you have scratches or swirls, you'll need something stronger.
I was actually just digging around the forum to see if you could apply PS over polish. Was very happy to see this post, will definitely be trying it out soon, especially after seeing the results you got.

Gotta tell you guys a story. The ON got a real workout today. So my buddy went away for a week, but the day they were leaving, he found a squirrel running around in his upstairs. He set traps and they left, but when they came back today, the squirrel was dead...........but the smell was unreal because we had near 90* temps this past week. He had all the windows and doors open wide, his wife lit candles, and it did very little to get rid of or cover the smell. So I gave him some ON and he sprayed his whole house.................smell all gone!! I know it's on his list of Adam's now.
As for me, the wife made baked haddock and old bay shrimp for dinner tonight and you can guess how bad my house smells inside. Again....ON to the rescue. There is NO fishy smell any more.
I can't even tell you how good this stuff works. Amazing. Sure made a believer out of me.
This is an insane story, but speaks incredible of the product.

My kids who have pets keep using my ON and we have found many other uses for it. A few squirts of ON and the pets are happy that the vehicles don't smell like humans anymore and the following week it is a few more squirts. We have also used it in the laundry room, storage room, mud room and I put a short squirt in the golf shoe bag after an outing. If you have tried it yet in a pair of smelly shoes or sneakers, give it a short squirt, you'll be amazed.
The ON and Glass Cleaner seem to be getting more use in and around the house than they are with the vehicles. At least with the GC, I can order the gallon and I would do the same with ON if it were to become available.
This is good to hear how great the ON is. I was toying around with buying it, it if clears up old shoes, then it really must be great. Definitely going to have to pick some up now.

I have been detailing my cars for a long time, still a lot to learn, but have just started using Adams products this summer. I am beyond amazed as i continue to try new products from them, and just how much protection and shine Improvement it has provided my cars. This is the finished result from a recent wash where I used Revive Polish, Brilliant Glaze, then topped with some Buttery wax ( looking to switch to Americana or patriot later down the road). But have been blow away with the results. Two weeks later and probably 600-700 miles still looked almost flawless. The next wash all the bugs and grime pretty much fell off the car with just the rinse in the beginning. These products are truly amazing, can't wait to continue building up my arsenal.

I know this is a long shot but I have had this idea in my mind for quite some time and I'm sure this may have already been thought of but what if Adams made an app? The app could have everything the forum does plus the ability to store your billing and shipping info so its a one stop shop. Plus you get notification on shipping and stuff of that sort to your phone directly through the app. I know it would basically take a new team to set this up and it would probably take a lot of time but again its just a thought.
This is a really cool idea

I flip my wash bucket over and sit the grit guard on it and wash my pads from the center out with the nozzle rotating 90 degrees and repeating. Then flip it over and do the same.. Put on the hanger and dry. After dry before next use I often hit it with the master blaster. That is typically all I do.
After a couple years it still looks like new so still using it. I have two more mitts in the packages but have not felt the need to open them yet.
I need to give this a try. Seems like a great system

I go with the diluted Rinseless. Great lubricants and the shine factor is awesome, so I don't have to go back over with Detail Spray. Makes the black paint on my truck pop! I also use it on the interior also, so doing the job of three products with one bottle!
This is cool to hear that the WA works super well. It that the rinseless can be diluted as well. I’m excited to
give it a try

Hey Jeremy,
I have both and honestly I'm surprised at how much I reach for the foam gun. I bought the premium foam gun and foam cannon around the same time. The foam cannon is a much better performing tool in regards to the amount of foam and the thickness of foam that it provides. The premium foam gun still puts out enough foam/suds to properly lubricate the vehicle before touching with my wash mitt.
Those facts being said, I always plan on getting the pressure washer out and hooking up the foam cannon. That plan doesn't happen most of the time. I tend to reach for the foam gun a vast majority of the time I wash. It's just quicker and easier to use. Both are great products, but if you're anything like me, you will find yourself reaching for the foam gun more often. Plus, when your vehicle is detailed with Adam's Polishes products, the foam cannon tends to be overkill to use for a weekly wash.
I was just toying around with upgrading to the cannon. I think your write up really helped me determine I still want it but will be just fine with the gun for the time being

I am super excited to give the strip wash a try in the near future. Have been amazed reading about how well it works.
