  1. citizen science @falcaineer, lol, a quark can be more than just a character from Star Trek DS9 😁Down quark really is a thing.
  2. else worlds (I know in the comics it is one word but we're just having fun here, so...)
  3. There is a possibility too much product was applied. I found a little goes a long way when applying to dry paint. Too much spray and I got slight slight streaking that was noticeable on my black paint. I've used it twice now (applied to dry paint and applied to wet paint after washing) and find it much easier to use if I use it like detail spray after washing the car while the paint is still wet and apply it while drying the vehicle panel by panel.
  4. carpet cleaner I don't think I can post the first thing that came to my mind... 😆
  5. top dog Note: I'm following @falcaineer because he followed black bowtie who followed the previous person and so on. 67's threw things off a bit and Mongosg8 followed 67's, not falcaineer. Explaining where we're at and why I followed who I followed...
  6. Welcome Larry, glad to have ya’! By chance, was the pic of your car taken a block or so away from McCormick and Schmicks, some Irish pub and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse? I’m not from the area but we visit VA Beach/Norfolk area a few times a year and that spot looks familiar. We are usually down during Christmas every year and eat at McCormick and Schmicks as it’s one of the few places open Christmas Day and i think that corner behind your car is where I always park, lol. Small world if that’s it...
  7. I hear you, I make my dealer aware during any visit I do NOT want the vehicle washed or detailed in any way. I even have a hang tag I hang from the rear view mirror making them aware "Do NOT wash this vehicle" etc etc. It is important to try and find a good dealer if you have multiple choices near where one lives. I'd personally not let the dealer apply their 'stuff' to the vehicle OP but if it is something that doesn't bother you and you want to test half the hood, by all means, we'd love to hear your findings down the road. I just feel don't let them introduce swirls or do anything if you're a competent detailer yourself.
  8. I'd personally find a local detailer with good reviews and have them apply a quality coating to the vehicle. Or just do it yourself using one of Adam's many options. This sounds like a dealer 'free now but pay up later' scam or it is provided free with no cost later but you did pay for it as it was 'bundled' into the whole final price of the vehicle without specifically saying you're paying $XXX for it. Nothing is free, especially when it comes to car dealerships. They may like using this as a way to get you back every 6 months and while there, they find you can have or need various other services performed which aren't 'free'. I stay away from the dealer after purchasing my car unless I have an issue under warranty or am getting an included free oil change.
  9. I think the biggest thing with doing it is creating even more SKU's and storing basically double stock of existing product but without color/scent. They could probably do it for a few of their more popular items like Car Shampoo, Detail Spray and Interior Detailer but I don't see it being feasible for a lot/most of their products. That being said, I do understand where you are coming from and as someone who gets occasional eczema breakouts, can feel for ya'.
