  1. I have the same situation as above, I have seen the blotches from continued detail spray use. I went two years and never washed the mustang once. Ny waterless wash should be delivered today. Looking foward to it.
  2. You are not alone buddy. I had this happen about a month ago. It shot out like a rocket. Pad went flying, back plate came off, screw and washer came out, threads were stripped, scared the hell out of me. Was doing the back lid of the mustang pushing pretty hard, no damage, no foul, no complaints. I was able to rethread the screw on very slowly to sort of tap new threads. I had not tightened down the screw with the wrench in a while, so who knows. Keep up the good work Adam you your crew are still number one with me.
  3. I did apply many coats over a few days, just put it on and take it off. the truck had smudges after a while, the car did not. Go figure. i do plan on usings Franks method one of these days.
  4. Not my favorite color, but after you got done with it, it is now!! Nice job Frank. And thanks again for all your other help.
  5. Mine arrived last week. Mounted on the wall in between the double doors. Can vacume in the garage or a car parked in front of the door. My son loves it. The shop vac has not moved since we got the new vac, my sons first comment, no more dragging the heavy shop vac, no more tipping it over either.
  6. Happy Birthday America!!1
  7. Way to go Chris. I was there and I saw your car, you deserved the win!!
  8. I just bought the Metco Vac. The foam gun may have to wait till Christmas.
  9. I should and I never do. My 12 year old son saw me sitting in the chair looking at the car and the suv, I said to him do not ask you would not understand.
  10. Ok over the course of about the last week, I put about 6 very thin coats on the mustang which is orange, and about the same on the expedition which is red, both stayed in the garage this whole time and under cover. The stuff is on the money like I said before. I would do a panel and then go and take it off, paper thin coats, takes about 20 minutes to do the suv and 15 for the car. And just for the heck of it I put a coat of BSG on the suv only. There is more shine with the BSG over the top, I have both car and truck side by side, easy to tell the difference in shine with BSG and without BSG. The Americana adds big time depth with shine, perfectly fine by itself. Or do both, can not loose either way. Like I said, I am no detailer, just a guy learning as you teach me.
  11. Yep. I will be there on Sat. Leaving the house at 0600.
  12. I know nothing about 10 grand wax, not even a real detailer, just your average Joe. But I will say this, I put the American Wax on my orange Mustang last night and at the age of 50 I did say Holy $h t!!. Clayed, Swirl. Revive, Machine Wax.... I then used whisper thin coats of the wax, easy on and easy off. No pictures but trust me I rarley used the car to begin with, now it may never leave the garage. Nice work Adam.
  13. I am looking for a cover for indoor use only. Does not have to go down to the wheels, right now I cover the top of the car with two sheets. I just want to keep the dust off the car. It is not used very often. Any suggestions?
  14. You have done a great job with the car. Good luck!!
  15. I prefer Northern N.J. But if I am off I am in Jersey goes do not have an accent. Adam I will see you 7/11 at the Mopar Nationals if nothing else. Hey I can even ask my wife it she would allow you to put up a tent in my driveway and also use my two car garage. I have a 40x 40 foot paved area in front of my garage. I could ask if it comes down to that. I am all the way up in Sussex county, it is off the path a bit.
  16. If the weather is ok I plan on going on Sat 6/27.
  17. Update: I started the vette last night. It is an 08 coupe, dark color like a red, cranberry color. Clayed, swirled and revive with orange pad. Then stopped got late and too many bugs, looks good, took some pics, I will post later. Today is machine polish, butter wax, and some BSG.. By the way the brush for the long reach to wash the back of the rims was great. The owner watched me wash the car and do the rims and he could not believe how that skinny brush on a drill did it so fast. I told him for $50 it is worth its weight in gold.
  18. It was my weekend to work, could not go. That hood looks great. Are you gonna be there 6/27 for the GM Nationals?
  19. Ok thanks a bunch, gals and guys. I just was not sure. Thanks again.
  20. I have detailed before... Wash, clay, orange pad with swirl and revive, white pad with machine polish, black pad with super machine polish, BSG all door jambs and windshields, etc. I am going to be doing a vette this weekend, never did fiberglass before, do I do anything different for fiberglass? It is an 08 coupe, garage kept, hand washed, meguries polish. Never been clayed or machined. Any words of advice would be apreciated. Thanks.
  21. Welcome Brian. I am up here in Sussex County.
  22. Adam does care about the Northeast.. You have to go to Carlisle to meet him, thats all. Met him there last year, nice guy, much skinner in person, did not talk long his daughter was a bit under the weather so he had to go, but he is just a regular ( Joe ) so to speak.
  23. I do like the new sponger better then the square blocks. It does look like the new sponges break down easier then the blocks. I have chunks missing out of the sponge already, but it does do a better job then the square blocks.
