  1. Well it looks like you haven't finished the process. The least aggressive method is a White Pad with Finishing Polish but you say you've only tried Correcting Polish. Finish the process down to the Finishing Polish (maybe a couple passes) then see what your results are. Correcting Polish and aggressive pads (Microfiber, Orange, and Yellow) can leave micro-marring on paint that looks like swirls but it is cleaned up with Finishing Polish. I always Finish with a Foam Pad as Microfiber can be a little more aggressive than foam.
  2. Theoretically, G&G won't hold up as long because it is not bonding directly to paint. I would think W&W would be better for maintaining G&G. Like Joel said. Many possibilities here. I'd just remember that Sealant lasts longer when bonding with bare paint.
  3. Post a picture of the dirty pad. Paint vs Dirt vs Rubber Trim... you can usually tell the difference by how it looks.
  4. I personally stopped using Glass Towels a long time ago. I have better results with a small waffle weave towel like that Waterless Wash towels. Virtually no streaking and doesn't leave lint behind.
  5. At one point I had 12 cans of it. No idea how it happened but I was selling it cheap because I had so much of it and now I completely regret it! Have 1/2 a can left.
  6. Decided to wrap my Bow Tie with some Vvivide Carbon Fiber Vinyl.
  7. Truck says I average 18.8 MPG with the V6. It's an 18 gallon tank and I usually can make it 350-450 miles depending on town and highway. When we went to Wisconsin last month I made it 495 miles on a single tank. I know the Duramax Colorado's get amazing gas mileage but the power isn't near what the V6 does. The 2017's are supposed to change that because they are swapping the transmission with something better (thank god).
  8. It's very close to what a full size used to be about 10 years ago.
  9. First detail for this lady happened today! Tried some new Adam's products on it. Was thoroughly impressed with the Tire & Rubber Cleaner and the Visco Clay. As always it's topped off with Paint Sealant and Patriot!
  10. Never thought you were bashing anyone. I just figured you had seen pictures in other threads and I know I had some in there somewhere.
  11. You may have seen some photos of mine in a garage cabinet or shelf and I live in Northern Illinois. Just because they are there in the pictures doesn't mean that they stay there. I have posted pictures like that before but I always bring my stuff inside in the winter.
  12. My '16 Colorado came from the factory like that. It even had the marks from the suction cups stuck on the windshield they wouldn't come off no matter what I tried. Polished it like Chris did and it went away.
  13. I'd refer to it as a "My Porsche" lol no point in buying a Porsche if your not going to brag about it or not say the name constantly when you talk about it.
  14. I only blow dry cracks and crevasses of the vehicle. I found that blowing an entire vehicle dry can often take longer and creates water spots (especially when blow drying well water). I use the pooling method to dry and follow up with MF and diluted Rinseless.
  15. Gladiator Cabinets. I have three 30" cabinets for detailing. One for exterior, one interior and one for MF. Picked them up last Christmas on Black Friday for $75 a piece.
  16. Welcome! Where about in Illinois?
  17. Whenever a new product is released I always watch the video for said product before ordering it to see what it does, what it's capable of and to see if there is a place/need for it in my stock pile. After I buy said product, I always re-watch the video before the first time I use it to be sure I am using the proper recommended technique. With my most recent purchase of Tire & Rubber Cleaner I did the exact same thing as I always do as stated above. However sometimes it's not always easy to find videos when you are trying to use a mobile web page version or searching YouTube. So I thought to myself.... Why not put a scannable QR Code on the labels of the bottles? Scan the code and it takes you straight to the video/webpage/app or whatever. Then thinking about it more there are a couple different ways this could be done... There could be a permanent link per product that is always linked to the most recent video. ....OR.... Since Adam's always keeps their older videos on YouTube the QR code could change on the labels for each revision of a product. That way if a technique or use changes for a product and you have the old version that is used differently than the new version, you always get the correct information. Anyone else have thoughts about this?
  18. http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/23347-mtm-foam-cannon/page-2 Post 24.
  19. When I had my black Colorado I didn't wash it as often, like Darryl said above. I polished it only once a year. After polishing and correcting the first time it seemed very easy and like it was just light polishing every time after that. I still use the same routine for my truck now. 2 Bucket Wash, Foam Gun every time, upper and low wash pads.
  20. The eraser wheel is very very dangerous around paint. Very easier to burn right through clear, paint and primer if used wrong. I only use it when its the last resort. Try a heat gun on low.
  21. Depends on what you want to do I guess... They are two different types of machines. The Flex PE8 is a Rotary and the Rupes Mini is a Dual Action Polisher. Personally I'd get the Rupes Mini as it would be easier to use.
  22. From another article that covered this the Rupes 15 vs BOSS. The person said the OLD Rupes 15 and BOSS were pretty equal however.... "My review was based on the previous generation on the Rupes machine and was done well before The Mark II was announced or released. The new Mark II does and as significant amount of power over the previous machine."
  23. I never owned that clay bar but I know the blue one had issues with being too sticky. At least I think it was the blue one.
  24. Safe to say that bar is 3-4 years old?
