  1. Combine two of these suggestions! An iron on steam setting with a towel in between the carpet and the iron. Theoretically the gum should transfer to the towel. Then just throw away the towel.
  2. Should always use a sealant regardless. If your truck sits outside the wax would just melt away under the hot sun. It's best to use a sealant as a base coat and for protection purposes since it lasts much longer than wax. You can always top the sealant with wax (after the sealant has cured for a few days to prevent hazing under the wax).
  3. The way the hood raises up to the windshield looks like a Mitchell or Apperson Touring Car. This is a 1916 Apperson I found online. Looks very similar.
  4. Thats odd. I have an old Craftsman NexTec 12v that is a compact drill and it fits. Time to trade up.
  5. Less product like others said and remember to wipe it down with a utility towel after you apply it to get any extra that has not been soaked into the trim.
  6. I believe the spray air fresheners from other venders you are referring to are Oder Eliminators and not air fresheners. There is a difference. Air Fresheners keep a constant smell for x amount of time and mask oder causing bacteria. Odor Eliminators have a smell but thats just an add on to what the product really is. Odor Elims get rid of smells and bacteria that causes smell (Air fresheners do not do this).
  7. Interesting because there has always been a lot of talk about it and now there is nothing.
  8. Search feature is at the top of the page under the Adam's Forum logo.
  9. I would think putting HGG over the the top of a wax would cause it to not bond very well and could cause the sealant to degrade quicker. You should definitely use HGG as a base coat for the wax. I wouldn't see any harm in trying it as long as you have a sealant as a base coat.
  10. I don't think is breaking a rule since Adam's does not sell such a product so.... Try Ceriglass with a Rayon pad on a DA Polisher... I have had pretty good results with it, not always amazing but it usually got out water spots.
  11. Oh let me tell you the struggles of the old jar. Me and the old jar went all sorts of rounds whenever I'd try to use it. I had to go as far as prying it open with a screw driver, which ultimately lead to the demise of the lid.
  12. Same price ether way. Patriot has more of a shine (or at least it used to) not sure if thats changed with the reformulation of Americana but I hear Americana is more comparable now.
  13. I have heard of others using Glass Cleaner on matte finishes. I have never used it myself so I can't say how good or not good it is at that.
  14. Last I knew Rinseless Wash had some Wax Additive in it and you aren't supposed to use waxes on matte paint. I've done quite a few details on Black Matte Harley's and have always used Waterless Wash on them. Now since I last heard Rinseless still had wax in it but that could have been removed in a reformulation.
  15. I really don't remember. It's been a while. I think you could smell the Blue soap more.
  16. I mixed them a little at a time. Still works just as good. Just turns purple.
  17. If you want, you can send your clay and deformed impression tools to me for "Testing".... Ya.... Testing.
  18. Leather Cleaner = Red UFO Pad. SVRT = Foam Block.
  19. I use Leather Conditioner on my entire interior except my door panels. I use SVRT on my door panels, that way when it rains it doesn't run when you open the door. Leather Conditioner will show streaks.
  20. Guys just because Adam's stopped carrying the bucket caddy doesn't mean everyone stopped carrying it. Just Google bucket caddy. I see Phil @ Detailers Domain has them. He's even an Adam's distributer. https://www.detailersdomain.com/products/grit-guard-caddy-for-buckets
  21. The plate that joined them went the way of Ol' Yeller when the caddies switched to rollerblade wheels. The wheels wouldn't stay in with the plate attached. I believe Grit Guard got away from those wheels though. I like my bucket caddies. Wouldn't want to wash without them because I'd have to lug 2 buckets around the vehicle. However, once you have 2 of them you'll never need to buy them again in all reality. One of those things you'd keep a low supply of.
  22. Miss the Apple Scent of Waterless Wash. I stopped buying it because I have so much Rinseless.
  23. Well I stand corrected. Was just restating what I was told by someone who used to work with Adam's a while ago.
