There is a color difference between some older bottles and new bottles. I have 3 bottles of various ages and each are slightly different in color. All work the same. I noticed the Leather Conditioner and SHR were too close in color a while back. Perhaps there was a change. It is the abrasiveness, not the color, that is important.

Welcome Ken from the land of Adam's (Colorado) from a former Detroiter (Utica).
BTW That Chevelle has Detroit written all over it. Wish I still lived there to see it out on Woodward.

You can absolutely polish a clear bra with any machine that Adam's sells. It would be difficult and take effort to generate enough heat with a PC or Flex. Try a white pad with Fine Machine Polish. However, do not expect dramatic results. This is not a great way to fix a clear bra. The only way for it to be perfect is replacement.
I have worked on several GTRs and your buddy is going to want a clear bra on it.
Remember to place tape on the clear bra line to avoid any accidental damage to the bra and to keep any polish from getting stuck on the edge.

Spring? Oh that thing we had earlier today (6 hours ago) in Denver when it was 70 degrees? Now it is 20 degrees with a blizzard. Your spring is better than ours.

Sweet Ashtin.
Next time I am down in Cape Coral visiting my father-in-law I have to stop by and see how the South Florida Adam's Detailers are doing it. Although you can keep the humidity, I like it when my pads dry in just a few hours instead of days. :-)

What Ryan said will work and not remove the existing conditioner provided you do not use any chemicals.

From another Colorado Adam's Fanatic, welcome. Hope to see youa t a detail clinic before too long.

I tend to agree with Rich; 10:00 is reasonable on a weekend without annoying the neighbors. But legally it could be as early as 7:00 AM. Check your local sound nuisance ordainance.

I am playing with a new tactic this year. I find events on facebook from local car groups and enthusiest. Then I bring my camera and take some very sweet photos. I post those on my company fb page and link the album on the event groups page. It gets traffic to my fb page and website. I can't track a sale to doing this yet but it gets me great exposure and my name gets out there. The key is to have something of value like great photos for the event attendees to look at and go to my page. I have gotten more "likes" this way than all the likes I have essentially paid for with ads.
I also hand out as many business cards as I can at the events as well. I leave them on my car (which MUST be detailed to the 9's) at the show.
I also keep my page active and have taken a few lessons from George Takie. Funny posts with pictures are more engaging than other media. I mix up detailing, with cool car-related stuff, and funny car-related pictures.
Here is my page

A lesson I learned from Adam is that if you are not detailing you have to be marketing. If I don't have a detail I walk the local mall parking lots with business cards. I write a personal note on the back about thier car and leave it on the driver's door window.
and have a great website with your SEO stuff set up correctly. I get calls from web searches often. Yelp is a big asset as well.
I am looking forward to what other have to say as well. Always looking for new tips.

Next time your down well grab some food at Half Shell or something
Sent from my Galaxy S III using Tapatalk 2 and my fingers.
Sounds good. I have not been there because I have to walk past Bo's to get there. LOL. But our go-to place on the north side (whenever I can't make a decision where to eat) is usually a grouper sandwich at Conch Republic. Southern most we are almost always at the Southern Most Beach Cafe, or La Te Da's. We ussually are down in the off season so some places we want to hit are closed.

I wanted to make sure you weren't using a big-box store cheap-o MF towel.
That is just wierd man. Pics will help.
-
OK Chris. It sounds like you are doing things right. the scratches shouldn't be appearing. So the next culprit could be the microfiber towel. Which towel are you using?
And the PC is great. I have both the PC and Flex.
-
Yea thats the Publix next to Wendy's. I live down near Trumbo Point, only 4 blocks from Duval.
Ha, I have probably walked past your place several times before.

Number is out of service? Ok that is weird.
Go to Adam's Premium Car Care - Cleaners, Waxes and Polishes Made in the USA and on the left-side there is a spot where you can see if someone is online to chat with on Live Chat. If it is green then someone (Matt or Ashley probably) will be able to help you out.
Try again tomorrow. It is a holiday weekend so there may not be anybody there. And someone from Adam's WILL see this post as well and be able to help you.
We are all sorry to hear you are not satisfied. If there is any particular reason you are not happy that the forums community can help you with, by all means post up.

Welcome to the site. My wife and I vacation in Key West for a week or so once a year and the cars down there are amazing, but a lot need some Adam's love. We are ussually down at Southern Most. I take you you are on the east side based on the Publix in the background. You have a lot of places down there that I would love to get my Sky to to take pictures.
The Focus looks great and again, welcome.

Chris, first welcome to the forums and congrats on your first post. This is a great online community and you will find everyone here helpful.
Second, you do not HAVE TO polish the car after you clay. It is not required per se. However, you can and should if you have never polished the vehicle before. Typically you should clay your car about as often as you change the oil (Every 3-4 months or so) to keep it free of contaniments. If you do polish (and it sounds like you are doing it by hand) start with a small area with the revive. If you don't get the results you want step it up to Fine Machine Polish and then Swirl and Haze Remover, then step back down. It sounds like the Revive is not agressive enough to get all the scratches out that you want. So you may have to step up then use the Revive. Revive is the least agressive polish in the Adam's line so it should not be adding scratches. Make sure your polishing pad is free of contaniments that may be adding any.
Second, the glaze and wax will help hide the scratchs and swirls, but of course this is only hiding the problem not solving it. Once you polish, whether by hand or machine, for the best protection you should seal the car with Machine Super Sealant or Quick Sealant THEN Brilliant Glaze, then Ameicana Wax, in that order. Don't lay down sealant on top of glaze or wax. Sealant adheres to the vehicles finish and won't stick to the glaze or wax. If you want to seal the car you will have to remove the sealant.
Hope this helps and again, welcome.

Try this:
Apply the machine super sealant and let it cure for 24 hours. Then apply a coat of buttery wax on top. Allow that to set for a couple of hours. Then (and this is the fun part where you look at me funny) apply a second coat of machine super sealant on top of the buttery wax on the forward facing edges and panels. i.e., the front bumper, leading edge of the hood, A-frame pillars, and mirrors.
Here is the reasoning. Sealant is designed to stick to the vehicles finish not to wax. If you apply it the layers discribed above then you will get a few months worth of total vehicle protection. However, the sealant applied on top of the wax will not stick to the wax, which is what we want in this case. The bugs will hit the top layer of sealant and when washed off, the bugs will fall off with the sealant. Leaving you with the original, properly applied sealant and wax.
As for the rock chips, well a rock is a rock and sealant is not going to protect against a good rock strike. He needs a bra. Heck, even a 65 mph a clear bra will protect better than nothing at all, but it is still a rock. And rocks hurt.
Hope this helps.

Did you comment "Nice Job" on your own video?
Cool vid though
Nooooooo.
Ok yeah I did. I thought I did a nice job and I said so.
-
Make sense. You have a detailing business.
Even with a business, we don't use as much as you would think. I think we use it far more efficiently. Which is why I don't think we will ever buy in greater than 5-gallons. When you have 55 gallons sitting around, it tends to get used.
With Great Detail Spray comes great responsibility.

can't see it on mobile.
I had a couple of people tell me that. Unfortunatly, when viewed on a mobile device the video SAYS it it something I must do but because I used a copywritten song, no mobile viewing is allowed.
See, still learning.
John, those transitions took some time. I had to adjust them little by little on all three axises until they lined up as close to perfect as possile. Personally my favorite is the B/W to Color transition in the begining with the jet cars timed to the music.
Thanks for the comments guys and gals.

I do. I even keep them in a plastic tub, and a separate tub for the used ones.

I go through about a gallon a month. Maybe more. With the new recipe, I have found I am using less to prime pads, and also clay.
And I bought 5 gallons of the old stuff a couple weeks before it was released. Booooo.
I need to use more around the house I guess. Air Freshener?
