  1. Thanks guys just trying to keep the boredom down
  2. Stuck on porch with herniated disc in my back. Sucks
  3. If your going to throw down that much cash on a polisher as the cyclo why not get a flex. It has great capabilities and quick results. I have a pc as well setup now for small areas with the four inch pads. Inmo you can't go wrong with the pc for a learner tool and then when your ready to step up to a flex or rupes the pc still has value with the four inch pads for tight area and for glazing and sealing. You can't go wrong with the pc for the deal Adams has for it
  4. Watching the videos is key for anyone just starting out. Watch them several times you will pick up so many good pointers and tips.
  5. Looks good. Nice job doing it by hand! You definitely need to get an orange pad for that PC to use with the paint correction polish. Not only will it save you time but it will knock out the heavy stuff you can't get by doing it by hand.
  6. BTW the detail bay looks nice. I like the rack setup
  7. It works well on trim and holds up just as well as it does on the paint.
  8. Update: Sat. I did a rinseless wash/HGG combo. So now with two applications of HGG I couldn't be happier. Very little maintence in between. Essentially one WW and DS session about a week ago. The total time i took this round was approx 1hr as i did the wheels and tires full clean and svrt application and glass clean and seal as well. The HGG holds up really nice and the time it saves is exponential.
  9. ^^^^this is true. need to think about the climate/area you work in as well. Having both I can say if you work in a cold climate that pressure washer for your foam cannon isn't going to do anything but sit stored all winter long so its much easier to grab the foam gun in those situations, but for sure the cannon makes an incredible amount of foam...
  10. Tap the wheel. should sound like plastic. I have them on the wife's 2009 g6 gxp. They are starting to flake now. so don't feel bad its not just ford that is doing it http://www.srtforums.com/forums/f47/what-s-chrome-clad-wheels-48441/ http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1124464-chrome-clad-wheels-worst-idea-ever-for-a-truck.html
  11. Are you sure they aren't chrome clad Which is basically and plastic chrome cover over a reg steal wheel
  12. Metal polish is not intended for clear coat wheel.
  13. Zach have you checked out the Adams videos. Many of the questions you have can be answered thru them
  14. Here is the thread that talks to "blooming" tires. http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/27661-pro-tip-tire-blooming-and-why-your-tires-turn-brown/
  15. Rick are you applying HGG to the tires? APC to clean and either VRT or Tire shine should be all you need. Tires turn brown on their own. Outgassing. theres a nice thread on here from DVK that explains the whole brown tire / dirty tire deal. New tires are more susseptible
  16. Nice write up Rich. looks goods. It really is a nice and easy and product to use. I was stunned on the amount of shine it has. I just topped my last weeks application with a Waterless wash and some detail spray.
  17. After the application. last step was to use the the master blaster
  18. ^^^ yes this is how I have done it. Jason's ideas in post #14 with adding waterless wash or a bit of rinsless sounds like a great idea, what I will try in the future. Why buy more products if you don't need to. more cost effective
  19. Michael how can isopropyl alcohol not work but d114 does work which is mostly alcohol ?
