  1. Don't blame you. I think the '75 TA was the finest year of production. My fav is the white with blue bird. Nice ride!!!!!!
  2. Anyone ever hear of the MC5? Grand Funk? Nugent? How bout Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels? I'm listening to Mitch's rendition of "Rock and Roll", written by Lou Reed who said Ryder's rendition was superior to his. Detroit with Mitch Ryder- Rock & Roll - YouTube :banana::banana:
  3. Detroit Coney Islands? I like the "Flint Style" better than "Detroit style" coney. The Detroit style coney at National was a carryover from a NYC Coney Island amusement park recipe. It contains ground beef, ground beef heart and ground beef kidneys.....can you say hurl! The Flint style contains ground beef burger and ground Koegel Vienna hot dogs...much more appealing. Sadly, there are no remaining "good" authentic Flint Coney Dog shops in Flint anymore. I would like to find just one good NYC style pizza in Michigan. Buddys in Detroit is a thick greasy square deep pan crust with cheese and sauce over top - yuk! Bob's Pizza on W. 7 Mile in the hood, is at least edible. I'm not a fan of Chicago style either. Gino's East sucks. I want pizza, not a thick greasy mozzerella cheesecake. New York style blows this pizza away with thin chewy crust and rubbery cheese that slides off when you bite into a slice. It must be folded or carefully held or the cheese ends up in your lap. That is REAL pizza. For Broasted Chicken or fried, Frankenmuth Bavarian INN is garbage. A little place in Middleton MI serves the best broasted chicken I ever ate. Ribs? Bobby Rubino's in Florida has THE BEST meaty baby back ribs in the world. He buys them by the boxcar load for his restaurants in FL. My cousin used to be a manager there. I'm drooling. Actually I have had the best BBQ food including chicken, brisket and ribs, in Florida at little country mom and pop shops that I can not name off hand. Seafood? Obviously New Hampshire for the best seafood chowder I have ever ate which included chunks of Maine Lobster, clams, scallops and potatos in the most heavenly creamy thick butter infused gravy/broth. Hungry yet?
  4. My guess is you are just noticing the fine scratches left by the SHR. This is normal. Try hitting it with FMP + white pad now and see what happens. I tore up a 2x2 spot on my new Mustang's hood using SHR and a hand app, believe it or not. I think this is the nature of SHR as it cuts more than FMP to remove heavier swirls. Only cure was a PC and FMP. I don't think I wore through the clear using a hand app and SHR but it did look pretty bad.
  5. Unless you want to introduce a crapload of swirls and microscratches to your almost perfect finish, do NOT use the SHR. Revive is absolutely useless for removing these scratches introduced by the SHR and you will have to invest in a machine to get rid of them. Believe me when I say this as I learned this the hard way on my new Mustang. Revive is a paint cleanser not a polish. If you have any swirls or micro-scratches, the only way to effectively remove them is Fine Machine Polish and a PC or Flex. So, if your paint is as good as you say it is, just use the Revive and wax of your choice.
  6. Now if the guy would only take some pic's of it at the old abandoned Packard plant in Detroit. How cool would that be! A little history lesson for you car buffs....At it's peak, the Packard plant employed thousands of AMERICANS a day, working three shifts. And you wonder why there is no middle class America left? What's wrong with the Chrysler Corporation? I'd buy that Cuda in a NY minute if it was offered today. For that matter, I'd also buy a Duster, Roadrunner, GTX and Charger to go with it. Dylan....you are my detailing idol. Adam - your an ok guy too.
  7. Unfortunately no. It was 10 years ago. Small mom and pop Cuban sandwich shop located in a strip mall (that's really narrowing it down). But I do remember the sandwiches were outstanding! I'll try to look it up on-line and get back to ya. I think it was Pepitos on Ehrlic Rd. Friend lived on Blue Jay Ln. and it was right around the corner on Ehrlic. I went there the first day for lunch and had one and for a solid week after that had one for lunch.
  8. I really dig the smell of a good stogie but I don't smoke. As for Cuban, man I could really dig a good Cuban Sandwich right now. They had a place in Tampa that I had my first one. I went there every day on my vacation. Cuban Bread, ham, pork, cheese, pickles, mayo and mustard pressed and cooked to perfection. I'm freakin drooling.
  9. There's a lot to be said for NEVER touching the finish on your car. My brother, who has moved in with me and who is a total slob, bought a cheap Chevy Aveo a couple years ago and the car has NEVER seen a wash mitt, towel, polish or wax. The interior looked like a garbage dump and was never vacuumed or cleaned. As a friendly welcome, I told him I would detail his car to which he replied not to bother, he sprays it off when he can no longer see out of the windows! I wish I took some before pic's, but I'll try to get some after shots this week. First off, believe it or not, there was not one swirl in the paint after I dawn washed the thing! Next I clayed with Adam's clay (the clay was filthy black after doing his little car) and was going to do a machine polish, but the paint was just so flawless I thought I'd just hit it with Revive. After one hand pass with Revive, some Americana and the undercarraige spray, the car was transformed from a junk heap to a show car! I could not believe the results from the Revive and Americana applied by hand. He had some nasty scratches on the car too and the focus pads, SHR and FMP took them out with a couple passes of my drill. For a guy that totally ignored this car for two years, I just can not believe how it turned out. The morale of the story? Quit worrying about road salt and grime in the winter. From now on, it's a quick spray off for me when it goes below 32*. Hand washing does a lot more harm than good as evidenced by his car.
  10. I would like to add a thumbnail photo of My Mustang under my forum name, but I have not succeeded in downloading one. Can anyone do this from the pic's I posted on the forum? Thanks, Techsavyless (NO NO I DON'T want Musclejunkie changed to this)
  11. I'm lost...Help Rich! What is all this about? What's an Iphone and what are these "apps"? HMMM, people do not have jobs in this country, most are on welfare, yet everyone except "me" has these tech devices. Weird...just plain weird.
  12. It has a liberal pork product applied. I swear, Junkman, this is the real deal. I consider myself a pizza conosewer of the highest order. Trust me. It puts all other pizza's to shame including the highly touted Chicago style pan pizza's.
  13. :drool:Had to resurrect this ..... made a homemade "Brooklyn Style Za" this weekend. BEST pizza I ever ate and 180 degrees different and on the opposite end of a Dagwood. It featured a homemade crust that was refrigerated risen for 13 hours and assembled with simple ingredients...crust, one thin layer of sliced mozzerella, dusting of black pepper and dried oregeno, some fresh basal leaves, fresh uncured bacon pieces covered with dollups of crushed tomatos, sliced onion and fresh mushrooms then drizzled with EVOO and transferred to a preheated baking stone in a 550 oven for 10 minutes. BEST pizza I ever tasted! Crust was crisp and chewy, sauce and limited toppings - perfect. I know...worthless without pic's.
  14. Friends ...This is a garage! That rag top caddy is over the top, man! Wait....is that a foam gun I see? Is this the last Adam's foam gun ever produced?
  15. Last embroidery I wore was a Levi's embroidered jean shirt in the 70's. Those were the stylin days.
  16. What is all the fuss about? I noticed a couple of scratches in the third photo! Oh, wait a minute.....I think those are light pole reflections. Where did you get the floor mats? They look like they were tailor made to fit your car. Very cool!
  17. For caked on salt? What is the process? Does Adams Carpet cleaner work on this?
  18. :grouphug:Sorry "T". Convince your dad hospice is a good idea. When my mom passed away with pancreas cancer, they were outstanding. I can relate what you are going through. 6-months after my mom died my dad passed away suddenly with a heart attack. The doctors can't even cure the commmon cold and bronchitis, yet we expect them to cure or treat cancer. Stay healthy is the key. I say this after I just had a cortisone shot an hour ago for a trigger finger. I would have lived with it but it was my bird finger which I use daily for road rage. On a brighter note.....HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY ya corkers! Only two people in the world ... the irish and those that wish they were.
  19. Boots the Bulldog, reminds me of Junkman seriously! Can someone place the two side by side for comparison? I'm not computer savy. If Junkman was reincarnated as an animal, he would be a Boots. And I mean that in a good way! I might add that Boots looks like he could kick some serious booty! Junkman....seriously, you need to get you a Boots dog.
